The room was huge with lots of space for relaxing and the bathroom well equipped. Sadly my friend who I was travelling with is unable to use a shower and we had requested a room with a bath which we didnt get but for me it was perfect.
There was no specific person manning the reception . We had an early check in booked and the staff were very shirty with me and although the room had been cleaned it had not been restocked (No spare loo roll, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits etc). I had requested two extra pillows which I had to ask twice more before I received. My friend arrived later than me and the staff were very unfriendly and very uhelpful to her (she is 89 and not well). No one would help her carry her bag upstairs and she didn't know where to find me. That was probably the worst experience which is a shame. Having no parking was difficult.

We booked this last minute so was a lot cheaper that it normally would have been and was so pleased we did. It was centrally located in the Town which was perfect. It was boutique style hotel. The rooms were on one side of the hotel, the restaurant/bar on the other and a courtyard in between. Bed room (we stayed in Room 15) was far better than we expected.
I can't really fault any of it. The only that was a little disappointing was there was no fresh fruit at breakfast (I have fruit every morning), but it's really nothing to complain about as the rest of breakfast was delicous.

We're reviewing this as backpackers walking The Monarch's Way long-distance footpath, on a one-night stay. A perfect location right in the middle of Tetbury, on the Monarch's Way path. Room excellent; ground floor with a large bathroom, good toiletries (we rely on these when walking) with a separate entrance off the courtyard. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Staff were kind and friendly and a very small problem with the power sockets was put right immediately. Dinner in the Bistro was a treat. Thanks to all at The Ormond.
All perfect!

Great Room and ensuite both a good size. Bed was comfortable. Parking was offsite but didn’t cause a problem at all. Staff were friendly and we always had good service. Loved that it was a pub and had streaming sports shows. As Aussies we joined in with the locals to barrack for the local teams and they were all great letting us know the rules so had a great time. Dined in for dinner and the meals were lovely. Location was great and we liked The Ormond so decided to stay, invited our daughter to visit and get a room. We used it as a base to tour. It’s a town lovely town and area.
All was great no issues at all.

We had a great sized room and spacious ensuite, both had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable and a range of pillows. There was even a little box of treats for us to have with our cuppa in the room. The staff were very friendly, bright, happy and super helpful. Nothing was ever any trouble. We ate in the first night and loved our meals, so continued to do so throughout our stay and found everything really nice. We ordered our breakfast from the menu and it was lovely with a generous serve. Staff were able to give us Aussies tips on questions asked about the town and places to visit and get around. Hope to come back one day soon.
Nothing was an issue. It was in a perfect position for shopping, transport and hospitality.

Cosy little B&B with a pub. Lovely location, super quiet and staff were all lovely. Lunch was had in the pub and was delicious. Breakfast in morning was continental, lots of choice but nothing amazing. You have your breakfast in the dining area of the pub. Room was compact but fine for my party, bathroom good size and had everything you could need. Nice soft bedding and a woolly blanket on each bed to keep your feet warm. The room was nicely heated too, we found it a bit too warm & slept with the window open. Big TV with lots of channels, great for us as we had a busy day’s travelling & wanted a quiet night in after dinner.
Bathroom in room 16 needs a good deep clean, inside and around the shower itself, the tiles & grouting. Something mysterious stuck to the wall of shower needs removing too! The extractor fan is very dusty and was blowing dust out which you can see on the wall. The beds are lovely and comfy, I did whack my head a couple of times on the slope of the ceiling (we were at top of building), but needs a fitted sheet. The sheet was sliding all over the place, probably agitated by the mattress topper. There’s also a steep drop behind one of the doors when you’re coming down from the upper floor, perhaps a sign saying mind the step would be handy?

Our garden room wasspacious and very well appointed with lovely decor. Staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Olivia the duty manager was great and went out of her way to make the stay enjoyable coping brilliantly with a group of ex RAF aircrew of a certain age and their partners.
Only slight wrinkle was that the toilet in the en suite had been used and not flushed/cleaned on our arrival.Obviously a simple oversight but spoilt the otherwise excellent impression of the room. In fairness to Olivia, we mentioned this to her and she kindly gave us a complimentary drink in the bar. Food was a little disappointing, my pie was ok but my wife’s burger was like a housebrick, solid and dry. Breakfast was just continental and I can’t remember if this was mentioned on booking. Generally ok but no cheeses or meats on offer other than a Babybel or Vache qui Rit cream cheese so cereals and toast it was.

Breakfasts were excellent, with good choice of options and good quality food. The bedroom was reached from an open walkway, but was only a pace or two in the open, so rain was not much of a problem. The bed was comfortable and the shower room a generous size.
The evening meals were OK but on one evening several of the mussels in the seafood linguine had failed to open. It would have been better for these to have been cooked separately and shells removed before being added to the linguine, particularly as there were also pieces of shell in the sauce which made for an unpleasant mouthful as I reached the bottom of the bowl.

The employees went out of their way to make our stay as leisurely as possible! From carrying all of our luggage up two floors to our room (I had 3 suitcases and two backpacks on my own) to taking us in their own personal car to our spa appointment that evening because there were no Ubers available, they stopped at nothing! We felt like princesses! They also had a room that accommodated three, which most hotels in the areas did not offer.
Although it didn’t affect us, because we showered at the spa, there was no hot water for the shower.

Absolutely everything!!! The place had fantastic staff, good food and great prices. After 18 days in the UK their beds were the best, most comfortable! Quiet, great location, and very clean. The price for the room was the cheapest we paid on our entire trip and was absolutely the best place we stayed! I would highly recommend the Ormond at Tetbury.
It’s not that we didn’t like anything but the free parking lot was short walk maybe 3 blocks from hotel. No big deal beautiful location, town.
