We stayed just one night cause we had an early flight. It took only 10 minutes to get to the airport from here by a bus so the location was great! The room was okay for a short stay — it had a bedroom and a bathroom. Easy to find and easy to get in. It also had a tv.

The room didn't have a fridge or any knives or forks, just a water boiler. Also, the shower was a bit broken, and the bed cover had a hole in it. This is an old building so the floor was sunken and you could hear the people walking in the corridor. It was still okay for a short stay!

After I booked I read some quite awful reviews so I wasn't really looking forward to arriving. Well, I was rather surprised and impressed with the room. The bed was very clean and comfortable, tea/coffee supplied. Fresh towels, hand wash and shower gel provided. The pub below was nice (only had a drink, no food needed) staff very friendly. You are sent codes for the main outside door and another for door key to your room. Good idea.

The shower was a bit black where the sealing was at the bottom, this wasn't really a problem but it could do with an update. A couple of tiny hairs in the cups(dog?), again, not a problem as I washed them before using. No keypad on main outside door, so didn't really need a code for it. Really anyone could just walk in to the lobby.

We were taking an early morning flight from Stansted so the location was perfect. The room is in the roof area of a very old building so low doors and ceilings. Check in was via a key code which was sent in advance and all went smoothly. Beds were comfy, the room warm and perfect for an overnight stay. I would have preferred a shower but there was only a bath but it wasn't a problem, it was in the description, everything was clean and fresh. We ate downstairs in the bar, the food was great and if anyone deserves a mention is was the lady working the bar, she was a diamond, very pleasant and friendly and made the stay even more enjoyable. Bear in mind the building is 400 years old so it has its own character. 5 stars.

I passed a couple at a similarly located hotel with large bags and they were stranded. Otherwise it is ideal. There is even a buss 133 you can take in the day time. So only pass if you have a very early morning flight. Owner was great as I had access issues which he solved well after working hours.

I had a trip from Edinburgh to Spain via Stansted. But since the flights are not connected and are on different days, the flight was in 20 hours, so I decided to rest and sleep. A small, cozy room with its own bathroom. Warm even in January. 15 minutes from the airport by one bus 508. The bus runs every half an hour to an hour. Great. So if you need to spend time outside the airport hall, I highly recommend it.

On arrival the room was very,very cold. A message to the owners prompted the arrival of the owner with electric heaters. Apparently the central heating had a problem and was being investigated.

I booked the hotel because it had a bar and a restaurant. I booked less than a week before we travelled. NO BAR AND NO RESTAURANT. Speaking to local residents it was apparent that these facilities were sporadic to say the least! I would not have booked if I’d known they weren’t available.

Aside from being well situated, I found the room to be quaint with all the necessary that one would need. It felt cosy and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my dinner and also the ambiance of a pub. Personally, I really did enjoy my short stay and would go back again. It'd ideal for a comfortable lay-your-head-down, close to the airport with all the conveniences.

This is an ideal location if you need to transit UK in order to travel somewhere else from London Stansted. Also, the lady downstairs was fantastic and recommended lovely steak pie. The room was big and absolutely clean. You have a kettle in the room and tea and coffee. Definitely, when I need to travel again abroad I will return to this hotel.

Lovely village/country pub. Would definitely come and stay again. Lovely room, great value for money. Friendly staff and helpful. Also had the chicken burger and home made apple pie and custard. The staff, location and facilities were great Perfect for a flight from Stanstead The room was beautifully decorated and so clean and comfy.

Generally everything was great Only downside was the lack of availability of some of the food from the menu. Hever, we did arrive quite late so is understandable. The staff did provide alternatives
