The friendly staff, and ease of check in and check out.

There was no disclosure about the resort being in the middle of remodeling. Not that it was a really big deal, however one of the restaurants did not have inside dinning. The overall appearance was hindered by the blue tarps hiding the buildings being worked on.

This was my 2nd trip there over the MLK weekend. The weather cooperated and there were plenty of beach/pool chairs. I really like that they added outdoor dining. Only had their breakfast. Reasonably priced. The front desk was extremely helpful, especially Sara. I ended up leaving clothes in the closet and she was so helpful in arranging their return. The location of the resort is centrally located to most of the restaurants I enjoy.

The outdoor bar is great, but not a place to take in a game on the TVs. The lighting blocks your view from almost all chairs. I get it that it’s a beach bar and you’re there for the ambiance, but I found myself going to other places for the NFL playoffs and college naty. Would have preferred to have my nite cap at my resort.

Beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable room with lovely outdoor seating area. The resort rooms were just redone and even smelled brand new. The decor and finishing touches are so pretty. The property is beautifully landscaped and you really feel transported to a Caribbean island. I don't know if I liked the scenery more by day or when it was perfectly lit at night. Scattered throughout the resort are so many cozy places to sit and read a book, take in the view or sit by the fire. The vibe is very chill at the resort and the staff is friendly and accommodating. No getting up early to fight over getting a lounge chair or having to give your room # to get a towel. We enjoyed taking out kayaks and signed up for the snorkling trip which conveniently leaves right from the hotel dock - amazing colorful fish & stingrays spotted. I hesitated to write this review and I feel like this place will only continue to get more more crowded as it is discovered. I think when phase 3 is completed this place will be spectacular.

I will say the one spot they sacrificed form over function in the room was the bathroom/sink area. There is virtually no place to put toiletries/toothbrush and to comfortably put on your makeup or do your hair. They need to think of some additional shelving. Also, the only area of service that lacked was the bar. They definitely need more than 1 bartender at night.

The property is beautiful. It feels like you are on a tropical island. You can really immerse yourself into your vacation at the islander. This is our second time staying here. We will definitely be back. The rooms are exceptionally clean. The housekeeping was great. Every staff member we came in contact with was helpful, kind, and welcoming. The staff can make or break a good vacation experience. The staff at the islander definitely make your vacation better.

They have construction going on at the property now. It will be beautiful once it’s done. However listening to a jackhammer and looking at fencing everywhere did taint the ambience of our relaxing vacation.

We liked everything about the Islander. The Location in Islamorada is perfect and has its own beach area with so many options to watch the sunrise, while nestled on their beautiful grounds. It really is something special for the Keys. The rooms were large, clean and modern. Their porch in each room is private with plenty of sitting. The options for dinning and drinks were numerous and great and apparently about to be better. The staff from the attendants at the entry way, to the check-in lady, house keepers and restaurant staff were amazing. Not a single employee on their site was not a pleasure to be around. Heck the grounds keeper doing manual labor took a second to say hello and help us navigate the property. They also supply a shuttle service to near by business. Which is great after a long drive. 10/10 will definitely be staying for a full week in 2025! We are Excited to see their construction progress on their amazing property! Beat spot in Islamorada!!!

Not a single thing. We will be bringing my mother this year who has MS due to the fact of how easy the property was to navigate with very flat terrain. This place is perfect!

Everything!!!! This is our second time visiting and again absolutely loving this place!!!! Pools activities beach restaurants all on sight everything is included and complementary can you ask for more we upgraded our room this time beyond thrilled that we did the room was prefect Coffee water snacks flip flops even drinks all included!!!!! We were given a bag full of goodies !! This place is perfect for a family vacay couples and even your furry friend We are looking to book again totally worth the price the experience can’t be matched!!!! Highly recommend and am extremely grateful for this beautiful place and time spent with my family

NOTHING!!!!!

The rooms are beautiful and recently renovated. The beds are very comfortable and it’s lovely to have the outside dining and lounge area. The resort is quiet (2 streets back from the highway unlike others) and spacious with wide sea views and offers bicycles, paddle boards and kayaks to hire included I the resort fee. The sunrise is stunning. There are lots of great restaurants and breweries nearby - all well priced and fun!

Some of the staff team don’t really seem to want to be there! Some are really attentive and work hard and offer a great service, others act put out if you need their help. If I’m being really fussy, housekeeping isn’t as good as it could be. Our patio area wasn’t swept/cleaned and had previous guests litter on it when we checked in.

The resort is beautiful and the rooms. The restaurants are great.

We were told in advance that the pools will be under construction and offered a 100 dollar a day expenses at the restaurants. But actually the whole resort was under construction so there was a lot of noise. 100 dollar a day is very nice but we didn't want to eat at the same place everyday... We reserved and paid through booking and when we checked out we got a bill including full payment and without the refunds on the restaurants. So check out took long in order for them to sort out the bill.

The check in was exceptional, front desk very nice and helpful after a not so great experience at a near by resort. We were able to book online in about 2 mins and less than 20 mins later we were in our awesome room ! The room was a great location, comfortable, nice and cool upon check in. Restaurant and Bar was great, great food options and service. Both pools were nice and clean and the beach exceptional !

The pool area could have been supervised possibly. The kids with their parents not watching them , allowing them to scream at the top of their lungs and go into the pool area unsupervised smacking around the noodles at 7 AM . We have grandchildren so I know how they are but parents to step it up and determine what is acceptable behavior, the resort is not a kids camp and I wish people would be mindful of the fact that others are also on well deserved vacations I am not sure how you could make this better unless you had an adult only pool at a different area of the property. We had to retreat to the beach because it was so bad and we really just wanted to relax at the pool... So if you are looking to relax at the pool, its probably not going to happen .
