We loved everything about this wonderful houseboat! The hosts were fantastic and very welcoming, the boat itself was lovely and clean and such a homely place to stay. The bed was extremely comfortable along with the sofa! The hosts welcome you with some lovely little snacks and drinks (just what you need after the travel). Shower was lovely and hot and very powerful, all amenities are provided such as hairdryer, iron, ironing board etc. Honestly one of the best city breaks I have ever had and that was a lot to do with the property we stayed in! Amsterdam itself was just as amazing, so many sights to see and things to do, would recommend 100%!!

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about this property! It is a little bit outside of the city centre but this was perfect for us because it feels like you get away from the busyness of the centre to a tranquil little haven! The centre is only ten mins away on the tram and it is so easy to get to that it really didn’t matter to us!

Everything was absolutely fine. The accommodation on the houseboat was very nice, clean, and cozy. The location is ideal – within a pleasant distance from the city center. The host was very kind, left us some welcome snacks, and was flexible with a late check-out. Thank you for a lovely stay!:-)

For people who wants to cook, there is no pots or pans, you can’t even prepare eggs for breakfast or pasta for dinner. We missed at least small electric stove.:( There is only microwave. We somehow managed, but for somebody it can be challenging.

MUST STAY HERE!!!! We've travelled the world! And this is our top experience. Absolutely loved our stay at Rob's boathouse Airbnb! The location was perfect – right on the water with stunning views. The place was clean, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Rob was super friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. The highlight was definitely being able to relax on the deck and watch the sunset. Highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful getaway!

We did have a minor hiccup with some electric issues, but Rob came at midnight as soon as we called him and fixed it so quickly. The microwave wasn’t as strong as expected, but that was really minor. Everything else was amazing. Rob was super friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had.

The room had everything we needed, as per the description, and it was very clean. Lovely comfortable bed. The owner was very helpful and we really appreciated the coffee, drinks and snacks provided. Very nice little 'terrace' outside the room right on the canal - it was too cold & wet to use it when we were there but it would be great for a morning coffee or evening drink in good weather.

The shower temperature was a bit temperamental - it had a habit of getting cold and then hot again with no warning and as it wasn't a very big cubicle it was a bit difficult to jump out of the way!

Lovely quiet clean boat with all amenities, was wonderful to be able to wash clothing the deck for morning coffee and evening wine was a gift - neighborhood walkable to some great places for good food and cheer Paul (host) was attentive and so helpful as this was our first visit to Amsterdam - he even picked us up from the train station!

The best accommodation we stayed at during our entire month of travel! Such a unique experience, and the hosts were so kind, responsive and accommodating. They have added so many little thoughtful touches to make this such a comfortable stay - especially the great selection of drinks and snacks!

Aside from a few cobwebs and spiders outside (which is to be expected I guess!), nothing :)

We decided on a different style of accommodation for our stay in Amsterdam and we weren’t disappointed. Paul was an amazing host, including offering to pick us up from the train station on our arrival. He offered lots of information and ideas on sightseeing and nearby restaurants. The houseboat is quite small but perfectly functional. The bed was large and very comfortable. We appreciated the complimentary basket of goodies. The houseboat is located a little way out of the centre of Amsterdam but the tram is located near by and came every 10 mins or it was an easy 30 min walk. It was actually quite nice to be out of the centre which was extremely busy in July. My husband was very happy with the location, only 100m from the historic windmill brewery. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the ducks, swans and other boats go by.

You did get the occasional strong river smell but that’s to be expected when staying on a waterway.

First of all, the houseboat itself was amazing. It is essentially a completely modern and beautiful floating apartment. The space is absolutely huge compared to our other accommodations on our trip and so it was really nice to be able to spread out a bit. The windows are floor to ceiling and it was really neat to have swans literally swimming up to the windows as we were hanging out. The location is also great as Brouwerij 't IJ is a fantastic brewery two minutes walk away at the end of the street. We were able to walk to the train station as well as many of the city's most popular attractions and felt completely safe the entire time. Secondly, the hosts were absolutely awesome. We (accidentally) arrived on King's Day and were a bit worried about checking in, but Paul (host) prioritized meeting us at the boat and warmly welcomed us. He gave us a tour of the apartment and even provided us with some local snacks as a welcome gift. He then proceeded to sit down with us with a map and show us points of interest as well as answer any questions we had regarding the city or activities we had planned. He even provided us with the train information we would need to get the airport the day before we left. Overall, this was one of the best places we have ever stayed because of both the apartment and the hosts and I would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Amsterdam. I only wish we could have stayed longer. We really don't have a single complaint or suggestion on how to improve. I hope they keep doing what they are doing.

this houseboat is really lovely and in a cool part of the city (only 30 mins or so to get to central). if you go when it's warm you can swim in the canal which we really enjoyed (you will also be visited regularly by ducks/geese etc - please see pic attached!) the space feels private, homely and comfortable but still near enough to some places to eat / hang out etc. (our favourite being Brouwerij 't IJ - a brewery in a windmill) Paul and Rob were such friendly and attentive hosts. we really appreciated the little details i.e. helping us with travel + providing some snacks on the side and a couple of drinks in the fridge. we will definitely be returning next time we're in Amsterdam!

Very cute boathouse and lovely checkin and checkout and helpful tips by Rob. Lovely rooms very clean, super good toilet and shower, lovely views seeing ducks outside the window. Very local and homely feel in Amsterdam.

It was a little bit far from city centre but loved the local area! Sometimes you can hear the trains passing by.
