A good old-styled property very centrally situated with easy walking to most parts of the city. The reception and check-in were easy and the staff facilitated the parking of our car. The room was well appointed: very comfortable bed, good AC, spacious, with a nice modernised bathroom and strong shower! Breakfast was generous and served buffet style in a beautiful terrace (or indoors).

A very minor issue, but a pet bug of mine, dirty plates and consumed items were not removed from the table between courses at breakfast... this could easily have been done.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and was close enough that we walked with our bags. Check- in was easy and the staff were friendly. The room was spacious and well appointed. Lovely decor and a great bathroom. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices of fresh fruit, eggs and bacon, pastries, cold cuts , cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, yogurt & cereal. They also had fresh eggs that you can cook to your own preference.

Super location to explore Portofino, Genoa and surrounding areas. Santa Margherita is a beautiful town and hotel Jolanda is well located close to bus, trains, beaches and all of the lovely bars and restaurants this lovely town has to offer. Hotel Jolanda offers valet parking which was really good for us arriving in a camper van, we were able to unpack and forget about the van for the three nights we stayed and then repack in the morning we left....very easy!! The hotel has a lovely breakfast, nice clean and well appointed rooms with modern bathrooms. The staff are really helpful and staying here was an absolute pleasure so much so, we stayed an extra night and the receptionist was able to move things around so we could remain in our room despite the hotel being very busy.

Nothing, we had a great stay

The staff were some of the best I have ever met at a hotel. Marcella at reception is the exact person you would love to meet on your arrival. She is extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. She also gives excellent restaurant suggestions. Breakfast is good and personnel serving it are very attentive. The car parking service is very efficient and convenient.

The room was very noisy. If you try to put a baby down for a nap during the day as we did, the noise of the doors slapping and the cleaning people is very disturbing. Plus noise from the street and other people staying in hotel is constant.

Excellent breakfast. Great room and shower. Nice friendly gentleman on check in. Appreciated the parking as street was packed. Went to the Oca Biance down the street for dinner....excellent wine but the food was really disappointing.....worst monkfish dinner I've ever had (a spongy one ounce piece of fish for $28, that I doubt was actually monkfish). Wife's steak was tough and was not a filet mignon. I suggest you don't recommend this restaurant for dinner until they get their act back together.

We had a great few days in Santa Margarita and the Hotel Jolanda was in the perfect location for some excellent restaurants and shops along with a few minutes to the beach. All the staff were brilliant, especially Irene who made us feel very welcome and gave us some good advice on things to do and travel advice. We will definitely be back soon.

We were surprised at check in to receive a room upgrade to a suite which was massive and had wrap around balcony on two sides of our corner suite. The room decor and furnishings were to a very high standard. We also had breakfast included in our booking and it was excellent. Thanks to Paolo for great service and arranging easy and convenient parking of our rental vehicle in the hotel car park.

Nothing to mention - it was all good.

Location was good, rooms are spacious and clean enough. Breakfast was good too with a variety of options. 5 mins walk to the main port to take the ferry to Portofino or other locations. Highly recommended!

Avoid dealing with the front desk lady - I think Russian speaking as she will try to destroy your stay. Some other guests had similar issues as we had of " strange add-on fees" to the total stay price ecc. Seek the other members of the front desk who are way more professional and friendly. I wish the tall man was there at the moment of check-out so everything would be fine. This lady was unprofessional at the end pretending that she didn't know things and using a calculator and every time with a different sum up. uggghhh

The staff were really helpful and managed to accommodate to our needs in very little time. the room was clean and well prepared and the breakfast was really good

The air conditioner was really weak, we had to sleep without blankets to feel a bit cool which is unfortunate considering how hot Santa Margherita Ligure is

Friendly staff, clean room, lovely balcony on shady side of hotel - most welcome in the hot weather for sitting out in the evening. Excellent location, not far from the railway station and the town centre, but quiet too. Good breakfast, which can be taken indoors or in a lovely shady patio area.

Small thing - lights in the bathroom were on a motion sensor that frequently turned the lights on during the night, and one time turned them off while I was in the shower. A normal light switch would be fine :-)
