The only thing that could be improved is the pillows, which were not very comfortable.

Some staff were friendly, while others didn’t even smile. I liked how they handled requests. Nice location.

There was a lot of dust on the lampshades and on the headboard of the bed. Only one complimentary bottle of still water was provided for 3 guests. I requested a late check-out at 12pm, but exactly at 11am the housekeeper knocked on my door, even though I had a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign. I explained to her that I had late check-out, but she shouted at me, saying: “There are a lot of rooms that are not checking out and it’s already late”. As if she were blaming me, even though I had requested it at reception.

A good old-styled property very centrally situated with easy walking to most parts of the city. The reception and check-in were easy and the staff facilitated the parking of our car. The room was well appointed: very comfortable bed, good AC, spacious, with a nice modernised bathroom and strong shower! Breakfast was generous and served buffet style in a beautiful terrace (or indoors).

A very minor issue, but a pet bug of mine, dirty plates and consumed items were not removed from the table between courses at breakfast... this could easily have been done.

Classic Italian Hotel, nice facilities, very good breakfast choices, friendly staff. In the heart of Santa Margherita Ligure.

Parking is an issue - they offer valet parking which can be a nuisance if you need the car a lot (need to inform 30 mins before). Parking is difficult in Santa Margherita (no long term parking, charged by the hour until midnight) Streets are very loud (Motorini!), no chance to sleep with open windows. Luckily, sound insulation is very good with closed windows.

Everything was lovely. The rooms were great, clean tidy, roomy, bathroom was nice too. Staff very helpful & friendly & breakfast was delicious, lots to choose from. Great location.

The only thing that was a negative was that our room 104 was on a very busy road & it was very noisy until midnight & started up again around 5am… otherwise we lived our stay.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and was close enough that we walked with our bags. Check- in was easy and the staff were friendly. The room was spacious and well appointed. Lovely decor and a great bathroom. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices of fresh fruit, eggs and bacon, pastries, cold cuts , cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, yogurt & cereal. They also had fresh eggs that you can cook to your own preference.

Our room was very pretty, and the bathroom is well equipped with plenty of storage space. The location is ideal for walks. The breakfast buffet is very pleasant.

As for the staff, it’s fifty-fifty. We were welcomed very professionally by some, while others perhaps should not be at the reception if they are unable to offer a smile to the guests.

Super location to explore Portofino, Genoa and surrounding areas. Santa Margherita is a beautiful town and hotel Jolanda is well located close to bus, trains, beaches and all of the lovely bars and restaurants this lovely town has to offer. Hotel Jolanda offers valet parking which was really good for us arriving in a camper van, we were able to unpack and forget about the van for the three nights we stayed and then repack in the morning we left....very easy!! The hotel has a lovely breakfast, nice clean and well appointed rooms with modern bathrooms. The staff are really helpful and staying here was an absolute pleasure so much so, we stayed an extra night and the receptionist was able to move things around so we could remain in our room despite the hotel being very busy.

Nothing, we had a great stay

Excellent breakfast. Great room and shower. Nice friendly gentleman on check in. Appreciated the parking as street was packed. Went to the Oca Biance down the street for dinner....excellent wine but the food was really disappointing.....worst monkfish dinner I've ever had (a spongy one ounce piece of fish for $28, that I doubt was actually monkfish). Wife's steak was tough and was not a filet mignon. I suggest you don't recommend this restaurant for dinner until they get their act back together.

The staff were some of the best I have ever met at a hotel. Marcella at reception is the exact person you would love to meet on your arrival. She is extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. She also gives excellent restaurant suggestions. Breakfast is good and personnel serving it are very attentive. The car parking service is very efficient and convenient.

The room was very noisy. If you try to put a baby down for a nap during the day as we did, the noise of the doors slapping and the cleaning people is very disturbing. Plus noise from the street and other people staying in hotel is constant.
