Location, the mattress, coffee machine and fridge in the room, and response time on WhatsApp with our contact. We were also allowed to check in earlier as the room was ready. It was also mostly quiet despite being quite central.

We stayed on the ground floor and there was a street light right outside the room which has stained glass windows for walls. Thankfully there were blinds but that means you don't get natural light in the morning and wake up easily. Therefore we left the blind a little open at night which caused the room to be lighter than we would have preferred throughout the night. No chance to have a casual chat on restaurant or other touristic recommendations as the reception wasn't open early in the morning or at night when we were going out and in.

Exceptional location. Few steps from Piazza Maggiore. This is a sort of an educational Center with only a few rooms. Very kind and helpful receptionists. Room very spacious, clean, good air-condition. 40 C outside….

Because of central location parking is challenging. Either you buy daily entry ticket to central ZPL area of Bologna (6 EUR/day) then you can park nearby for cheaper. This is possible but only available by an Italian speaking website, where we have failed. 🙁 The other option what we took is Parcheggio Piazza VIII Agosto what is at some 9 minutes walking distance. This would be ok, but you pay 24 EUR/24 hour which is tricky- the first 12 hours cost already 24 EUR, the last 12 hours are already free…. We only needed 12

The bed was really comfortable. Great location, in the old town close to the main square. The staff were really lovely and gave great recommendations. There are great facilities, there is a gym (we weren’t sure if it was open to guests but we used it), a great kitchen for cooking meals and luggage storage if you need it. Check in was really easy and you’re asked to provide your passport information via an online form beforehand and that makes check in really easy. They are super responsive on WhatsApp.

The location is very good and inside the historic Center near all the attractions but this, unfortunately, makes it a drawback too. Due to Bologna city’s ZTL, guests need to park the car in a public parking around 650-700 m away (that is outside the ZTL) and then walk. If they make the mistake to get inside the ZTL the fines will be steep.

Whilst the layout of the property is unusual and there is no view from windows, it is a really good location perfect for visiting the old town Bologna. The communal area has a kitchen and dining space. The staff were helpful and being able to drop off bags when you arrive early is great.

The communal area was extremely hot when we visited and sound proofing is not great as you can hear people walking around upstairs. The air conditioner in rooms does not drop the temp much.

The location is very central close to main city attractions, the best restaurants and bars. The room was large and comfy with a big bathroom. Beds are comfortable (not so much the sofa-bed, but that's expected). Nice and clean, with art touches.

There is, at times, a foul-ish smell in the property. This is not in the room, though. The property is close to other apartments, and at times, neighbours' noise comes through

The location was just perfect. We communicated very well with the staff, the room was cozy and clean. Also, a nice surprise was the room tmeperature. I know old buildings in these parts of Italy can be really cold, especially during winter, but here was warm inside, so it was very comfortable.

The room had some nice vintage details (some old furniture that looked nice), so I recommend to design the entire room in that style, including the bathroom. The building was very nice, so it's a pitty not to conserve the original style.

We were very happy to find a coffee machine with gifted capsules and small chocolate. Also the mini bar was at our disposition included in the price of the room. It is also very nice that they have a small smokers lounge inside the structure. The bed was really comfortable, and the pillows also. The position is excellent. I would really recommend this hotel.

Considering the pictures that the hotel posted on their profile, I was quite amazed at how small the room really was.

Location was ideal and I would stay at Mitodea again for that reason. The curtain in my bedroom needed re-hanging as it let in daylight in the early hours. The room(s) could also benefit from their own tea making facilities (a kettle) for those of us who want the privacy of our rooms for breakfast. The reception staff were both very helpful and friendly and happy to stop and chat.

There was nothing to dislike - save that when I checked in, the staff were unable to contact me to tell me when my room was ready and I was walking around the city for hours longer than necessary. They appeared unable to phone a UK mobile phone number (I don't have a smartphone and had told them they would need to send a text message).
