ensuite very nice modern and clean hall, stairs, and landings carpet well worn and stained looks very tatty, room and bed very nice and comfortable, outside of hotel a bit shabby could do with a lick of paint, looks run down ,especially the entrance from the rear car park

wish I had requested a room on a lower level ,not on the top floor where I was put to many stairs for me , but it was clean and comfortable

We stayed at the Central Hotel for three weeks. I beleive this makes our appreciation of it, as valuable as the one from the Hotel Inspector. The best asset of the Central is its people. We had a couple of problems but too small to mention here and and of a lessen importance. ALL the people at the Central Hotel, from the young people at the front desk to the cleanning ladies, tried to help us but most importantly, they provided solutions there and then. They all have a service attitude that one feels and see straight away. Last, but not least, the location of Central Hotel is excellent. Walking one can go everywhere.

We suggest to give some more trainning and supervision to the cleanning ladies/cleanning personnel.

The staff were lovely and friendly and efficient( 2 girls on reception when I arrived)the room was fine ,the bathroom was clean ,the bed was comfortable,the fridge and microwave,kettle and complimentary tea/coffee etc and biscuits a nice touch ,I read the reviews beforehand and heard a lot of bad things but I didn’t see these ,my remote on the tv needed new batteries the young guy who checked if everything was ok in my room got me new ones ,house keeping knocked on door but I wanted a lie in so declined, check out was quick the 3 guys in reception friendly and wished me a nice day I would stay there again.

There was a slight smell in room but nothing a spray of perfume couldn’t sort

It looked very tired. Inside and out. Room although clean also looked tired. Not quite what we were expecting. Photo does not match room. I guess it’s reflected in the pice.

The hotel is old and tired but was expected due to its star rating and price . In the centre of town so very convenient. It was extremely clean and the reception staff friendly. Only stayed for one night but would use again

We book this hotel every year for a day at Cheltenham races. Very friendly staff, always clean and tidy, not overpriced.

Room was very warm, the radiator wasn’t on, so unable to reduce the heat, we opened the window a little, did the job.

Can't beat this location for such a reasonable cost. Single room was perfect for the one night, clean and comfortable. I was a bit worried about the limited parking but as I was there at a quiet time of year and not over the weekend there's was ample space and I was allowed to leave my car for the day whilst at the appointment I was in Cheltenham for.

Everything was super clean! The staff were really nice. The rooms were a good size and included a fridge, glasses, a microwave and a really good size bathroom. The location is city centre so that was ideal!

Only thing I would say if maybe get it modernised a tiny bit more. But it doesn’t really matter!

Value for money this is a very good Hotel. Free on site parking. There are few services in the hotel but very close to the city center were there are plenty of restaurants and bars to suite every taste.

the room was much bigger than we expected for only £60 a night, and had a huge bathroom. the staff were very friendly

in room 14 we were right by the stairs and so when people came him from the clubs at 4:30 AM we were woken up as walls are paper thin. also it’s hard to get to the parking so we ended up using the NCP multi story and having to pay
