Gorgeous little guest house run by the very professional and helpful Catherine.,felt very authentic and French and far superior to staying in a hotel. So convenient to airport-only 20 mins on bus. Streets around are quiet and residential but still nice walk into main port. Gorgeous, simple continental breakfast served with care. Liked the little pool which we used every day and lovely quiet spaces in patio to read and relax.

A/c!! Know it’s not a thing in France in general but very hot and leaving windows open without closing curtains would have meant a very bright start to the day!!

Catherine, our host, is such a lovely lady. She is really friendly and helpful. The lovely building is spotlessly clean. The fresh breakfast every morning outdoors was gorgeous and plentiful (beautiful bread, jam, croissants, fruit salad, cheese, muesli coffee, and orange juice) The neighbourhood is quiet and very safe. I would definitely recommend 👌

It was a comfortable room in a lovely house. Beautiful clean en-suite bathroom and was encouraged to make ourselves feel at home. Catherine was a lovely hist who made us fresh fruit cocktail each morning along with bread and pastries. The home made plum jam was divine! The little swimming pool was perfect for cooling off in the afternoon, a great bonus. It would not be suitable fir anyone with disabilities as the rooms are upstairs. The main waterfront was a 15 minute stroll away which was fine for us.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. Wonderful hostess. Fabulous breakfast. Fabulous advice and help. Nothing was too much trouble. Just the best place to stay for La Rochelle. Lovely walk into town. Easy walk to and from the bus stop to and from the airport. Lovely clean pool. Wonderful stay.

This is a beautiful hotel, the room was large and a really comfortable bed, Catherine was truly lovely, she let us check-in late when our plane was diverted and even gave us some much needed food when we arrived. The breakfast is amazing with beautiful fresh bread and rolls and the gorgeous homemade jams were so nice. It is in a perfect part of La Rochelle, we will definitely be back.

Absolutely nothing to dislike

A beautiful and very tastefully decorated old house in a lovely quiet street only 10 minutes easy walk to the town, or through a gorgeous park to the beach. Catherine, the host, is very kind and provides everything you need including a fabulous breakfast at her big table in her lovely dining room. The bed linen and towels were high quality and the bed was huge and very comfortable. This was one of the very nicest places we have ever stayed in anywhere.

The property was centrally located which meant we could walk in every direction within the city. Beautiful old style French urban property with a terrace and pool which were very private. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The most important aspect of this property was the host Catherine who was very gracious and kind and provided a beautiful breakfast every morning with fresh fruit, home made jam, cheeses and breads to die for. We could not recommend this property enough and it made our stay very memorable. We will be returning next year.

I would highly recommend this accommodation and stay again. The rooms were cosy and clean, the beds comfortable. The hotel owner Catherine is friendly and helpful.

We were able to check in early, which was super generous and much appreciated. Free street parking allowed us to leave the car and walk into town. Very nice room and lovely breakfast. Catherine was very helpful, including restaurant recommendations.

Nothing I can think of. It would have been nice to have a fan in the room.

We had a warm greeting from Catherine, we felt very comfortable and the house is beautiful The swimming pool is bigger than it looks in the photo! plenty of room to splash around after sunbathing in the lovely flowered garden. our room had a quiet but effective fan, en-suite bathroom with a decent shower and was exceptionally clean it's a pretty walk from the house to the town centre, around 10 minutes We met some other guests here and everyone was friendly, the twilight hours are perfect for socialising in the walled garden I would definitely recommend staying here!
