The location was great, it had allocated parking… the rooms were tidied daily with a full clean mid stay which was great. The rooms themselves and beds and facilities were really good, we were very comfortable and happy during our stay.

The door frames are old, especially the back door which had gaps and was both a potential security concern as well as for noise when neighbours were taking and smoking out the back. Can be simply be changed by replacing them. Also a kitchen sink would be a good option for the future.

Older style basic motel if you need a low cost stay. I was there for 3 nights. Very clean. The girls who do the rooms do a really good job. Gave them a tip I was so impressed. Complimentary water bottles in the fridge. Location is right on the lake. Nice walkway along the lake. The woodfire pizza on the other side of the bridge was great. Popular place. Plus there was seafood, Thai, bakery, large hotel... all within a short walk across the bridge. The main beaches are 5 minutes away.

It's basic accommodation so don't take your wife here if you are trying to impress her... but if you want a nice clean place to sleep, and a clean hot shower, this fits the bill.

Very clean, comfortable beds, great hot high pressure shower, an outside and inside table for sitting, kettle, microwave, toaster, bar fridge with complimentary water, tea and coffee with bikies and an iron..Free wifi. Lovely large mirror and good counter space. And right next to the lake with stunning walks and great restaurants in walking distance.

It was a little run down. Very small tv. Not great reception. Sink only in kitchenette area, soap, shampoo and conditioner in refillable pumps. Housekeeping ignored us but we were in so I'm sure they were just not disturbing us.

The location of the Hibiscus is amazing! On the water, with a walking track along the inlet, great for bikes and scooters or just a walk. Treat yourself to a great pub feed at Budgewoi Hotel or the best wood-fired pizza at La Bocca across the bridge nearby. While the hotel itself is a little older than your fancy new ones, the room was very clean and comfortable and very affordable. This was our second stay, we love it as it’s far enough away to feel like a holiday, close enough to not drag out travel.

The hot water wasn’t quite hot enough and didn’t last for three showers in a row!

My mum and I needed an overnight stay to catch up with relatives, this was perfect and a great price. Roomy, clean and comfortable with the convenience of a kitchenette and fridge containing free bottles of water and biscuits with the tea making facilities. Parking right outside our room. Nicely positioned by the Lake. The owners communicated well as I booked through booking.com. Our carpet had just been cleaned. Just up the road from Halakulani Bowls Club where we had a delicious dinner. Convenient distance into town to an excellent Cafe (name containing a number) has delicious breakfast ideas and friendly service. The coffee was good, and we were given free treats to try.

Lovely being so close to the water. The original design of the space is well thought out, especially having a door out to the lake. The room and bed were cosy and comfy and it was surprisingly quiet overnight.

This is actually a lovely and peaceful place to stay and I'd stay again. But it's a little worn out and tired feeling. My bedside lights wouldn't work, and the toilet clunked somehow (it was solid enough, but very loud to get on and off). The info folder is very out of date, so lots of the resturant brochures etc were no longer current. It just needs a little bit of fresh energy moving through and some mini tweaks!

The hotel is in a great location, conveniently close to pubs and restaurants, making it easy to find good food and entertainment nearby. The room was clean, comfortable, and provided excellent value for money. Despite its central location, the hotel is in a quiet area, ensuring a peaceful and relaxing stay. I was impressed with the balance of convenience and tranquility, and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable yet comfortable place to stay.

A place chosen because of its location to a party we attended. It was pleasant location, clean and tidy though a few things required a handyman. Our door was hard to open and close. A little friendlier staff greeting would have been nice. Location near the river was great.

A warmer greeting and farewell by Steve would have been pleasant. He showed that it was just a job. I get it but when your business relies on repeat visits ? It was a Motel and I was pleased with what it offerred

Location was good, close to town centre and near to everything you need. Bonus points for the lakeview.

Some house lizards around the place but not inside the rooms. The manager was a good hearted bloke who seems to be taking care of the place for years but I wondered why he kept calling me about when I was going to check in which was a bit off-putting.

Great location, friendly staff. Its an older style motel but the rooms have been refurbished and modernised to good standard. Good value for money. Welcome water bottles and biscuits was a nice touch. Beds comfortable.

Cleaners appeared to do bare minimum of cleaning during stay for example floors were not vacuumed despite sand on floor and shower tray wasn't cleaned.
