Loved the location and the view. I will caveat this review with the fact we were on the 2nd floor. I wouldn't want to stay here on the 1st floor. Second caveat is there's no elevator, so if stairs are a problem... The room was spacious and comfy, but it's the view and location that make this place memorable. The photo is from our large picture window overlooking the beach. Location is right next door to the aquarium, and a block from the main street with all the shops/restaurants.

Doors, the doors were a problem. I had to shoulder the exterior door open and closed. My girls couldn't open or close it, my oldest is 14. The bathroom door latch had to be turned in order to close the door without slamming it. Maybe this was just our room, not sure. There is no A/C. This wasn't a problem for our visit because it was cool, so the ocean breeze was enough. Just be aware, if it's hot they have 1 box fan in the room.

The room was nice with a view of the beach. The bed was comfortable and the shower was really nice. Upon request, we received extra blankets as it was cold at night. Staff was very friendly and the location was convenient.

This is obviously not the staff's fault, but the walls are very thin. We weren't able to fall asleep due to person who was in the room next to ours leave their TV on until ~1am. The TV was loud and we could hear everything they said, which kept us from falling asleep. Note for the staff: you may want to warn guests during check-in to make sure to be quiet after 10pm and keep the TV volume down.

We had a first floor room and the location and views are excellent. Easy walking along the Promenade and well lit. Front office staff very pleasant and accommodating. Appreciate the larger dorm style fridge, microwave and k cup coffee set up. The shower is nice and water pressure is great. Keep in mind people stroll along the Promenade at all hours so you're likely to hear people a lot and remember to keep your drapes closed when it's hot out so the room stays cooler and at night so people don't stare into your room. There's baseboard heat and a fan for cooling if needed.

The bed is a bit too high for someone with short legs, it's challenging to get in and out of, especially in the middle of the night in a dark room. The fan in the bathroom is VERY loud and comes on with the light so if you have to go during the night and need a light, you'll wake everyone up. The pillows are very flat so if you have the opportunity, bring your own. The walls are paper thin so be aware of that, especially when it's a busy time of year.

The staff was great upon my check in. Warm and friendly. She also informed me of the things close to being sure to check out. The aquarium was right next door and I could feed the sea lions all day! The location on the breach was great. The rooms were clean and the property was well kept.

I was a little set back that it didn't have ac but it turns out the fan kept us cool. Also there is a hill of sand that obstructed my view of the ocean but that isn't the case for most of the rooms and as it turned out wasn't a deal breaker either.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, right on the Prom. You get an excellent ocean view from your window, though if your room is on the bottom floor, there's a 50% change the view will be blocked by a dune. The shower stall was large and had a great anti-slip flooring.

The sound insulation wasn't great between rooms. The bed was rather firm and high up. This was perfect for me, but some might not like it. The rooms are right on the Prom, so you'll have people walking by your window late into the evening.

We loved this hotel! The room was perfect for our family (we stayed in a 1 bedroom). It was very spacious with plenty of room for a rollaway. The room was clean and very comfortable with a beautiful picture view of the Prom and ocean. I have never seen such a hard working, friendly, and caring staff. They really take good care of this older property. I can't quite give it a stellar because the railings on the upper floor and stairs are not child safe and I hope the property owner addresses this. Saying that, we would absolutely stay here again!

This hotel is in a prime location!! Steps to the beach, less than a block to the Main Street. Easy to find and access other amenities/shops, etc. and walking distance to most everything you need. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We even received a call on the way making sure our drive was going well and reminding us of when sunset was so that we didn’t miss the beautiful view!!!

It is an older hotel which is not a problem as it is updated and very clean, however all access is from outside with no elevators. This is not a problem at all…but just a note for some travelers who may have accessibility issues…just be sure to request the first floor to avoid stairs.

The hotel was clean and spacious. We decided to upgrade and got a room on the second floor for more privacy. It turned out to be a great decision, we had an amazing view of the ocean. If we had stayed on the first floor, the hill of sand would have completely blocked our view. The front desk staff were very accommodating and even gave us some great local recommendations. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you off, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again!
