The property is delightful. The room was pristine, spacious and homely with a very comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, a desk and chair. The en-suite shower room was equally pristine. Michael is a very kind, friendly and gracious host, offering ideas of places to visit and help booking a restaurant when wanted. The ‘continental breakfast’ was superb with a varied and comprehensive range of cereals/muesli/fruit/toast/croissant etc. Bub Cottage is very well located - a 15minute walk to Mudeford Quay and Avon Beach or 25minutes walk to Christchurch Priory. Highly Recommended

There was nothing to not like

Our hosts made us feel SO welcome in their home! Very thorough introduction to the property too. A lovely touch was that every evening when we came back to our room we found the blinds closed for us and the bedside light was on, and a little chocolate surprise on our pillows waiting for us. We received lovely fresh biscuits and milk for our tea every day and the towels were also changed. The only downside was sadly NO cooked breakfast (which we love when on a break from home) BUT they did offer a lovely continental breakfast instead and also offered up various alternative locations for us to go for a cooked breakfast too. All in all, an EXCELLENT place to stay close to Mudeford Quay and plenty of fabulous restaurants in a beautifully quiet location too.

Nothing to be honest.

The accommodation was spotless,michael&sue were very helpful&accommodating,the breakfast was very healthy and tasty(if yr after a fry up this breakfast is not for you)off street parking even though it's approx 10 min cab ride ftom christchurch station,pub across the rd(ship in distress)beautiful wetland to walk in (2 min down the rd)stanpit mudford. Some VERY upmarket places to eat in (we were there 10th-12th August for my 60th)and michael helped organise some lovely places to eat and drink (boatyard &the jetty restaurant)both with spectacular views of river stour. All.in all if yr after a quiet short break it's highly recommended in our opinion. Ps forgot to add stanpit mudford has its superb beach 10 min walk and if you catch rhe 1c bus outside accommodation your a 10 min bus ride from Southbourne (or sobo )beach as its locally know)both beaches are superb oh and their garden is stunning (south facing)so it was scorching when we were there.

To be honest as 60th birthday breaks it was nigh on perfect so nothing negative to say.

Bub Lane cottage is a lovely property in a quiet cul de sac. The room is in the owners house. It's well maintained and immaculately clean. The hosts let us get on with things, but were very helpful when we needed some local advice and a taxi to the airport. We paid extra for breakfast, which was fresh and plentiful. We travelled on public transport and walked. We found the property was very convenient and accessible on public transport and on foot. There's a pleasant shortcut to Christchurch town centre across Stanpit Marsh, which took about 20mins. It's about the same to Mudeford Quay to get the ferry over to Hengistbury. You can also take the Breezer Bus 70 at the end of the road all the way to Poole, or Bournemouth. Would recommend and will stay there again if in the area.

Everything was exceptional, the host, Michael met us outside and gave us a tour, there is even a spot in the garden to enjoy, there is plenty of space in the room and the milk was fresh, biccies included. When we went to bed we found little chocolates on our pillows, Nothing was too much. The room pack even included menus for local places to eat which is a lovely touch, Michael suggested places to go for a walk in the evening which was really beautiful. Lovely location couldnt fault anything. Very clean also, slept very well

It was a little tricky to find, having to read through instructions when I arrived, but I didn't get lost, just make sure to look through all the directions prior to arriving which is where I went wrong, but they are all there written down so this was really on me, and I don't have anything negative.

I would highly recommend a stay here. Everything about was excellent and exceeded my expectations. Michael was the perfect host and made me feel very welcome. It was lovely to be able to relax in the stunning garden, and I really appreciated being offered a flask of fresh milk for my tea. The room was clean and bright as was the bathroom with a great shower. Everything had been thought of - for example, phone chargers and an extension lead for the hairdryer so you could dry your hair in front of the mirror! I found the location great too with Christchurch and Mudeford Quay within walking distance.

Good location between Mudeford and Christchurch. Perfect for our two day break as didn’t need to use the car. Quiet street. Extremely clean. Optional breakfast.

Didn’t realise this was a room within the owners’ own property (we were expecting a private entrance). Would be good to make this explicit in the description of the property. I notice other reviews have mentioned this and this set-up may not be for all. Breakfast was plentiful but would have preferred some different options eg some unsweetened cereals. Perhaps some pre-chosen options would be helpful.

Location was perfect close to Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole. Where we were staying there is a walk way that takes you to the centre of Christchurch. Only takes 15 minutes! Our commodation was excellent! Our host couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. Room was cleaned every day..... Bed made, bin emptied. Fresh milk and water supplied with biscuits and to top it all alittle chocolate was left on our bed. Very well looked after.... Bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was of a good size. Quality room. Had a situation with our car and our host gave us a recommendation of a local garage that could sort it out.... They did straight away.... Couldn't ask for more.... Would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends and family. Please book you won't be disappointed 😁

Be aware you have to park on the street opposite the accommodation. Always managed to get a space. .

Nice clean room with good facilities. Great shower. Well presented optional breakfast with fruit, cereals, pastries/bread and yoghurt. House in residential area within walking distance to coast and town centre. Good pubs and range of eateries around. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Good coastal walks nearby but need to use foot ferry for some parts.

Room in owners property so shared entrance and ground floor room. Some people would require a car to get anywhere as in residential road although we didn't look the local public transport links. Extra charge for breakfast so some choice would have been nice.

Hi, accommodation was spot on , flawless hosts who were so helpful regarding what to do and where to visit. We were greeted on arrival and shown to an absolutely spotless room complete with an amazing ensuite bathroom and were also shown the beautiful garden. We visited stanpit marsh nature reserve in christchurch harbour, literally a few yards from the accommodation which was great. Anyone thinking of booking , do it you will not be disappointed.
