One of the best locations you could stay at when visiting Philadelphia; right across the street from the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and around the corner from the Jewish Museum. Service was lovely as was valet. My room was large and the bathroom just perfect; big and well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, etc. And I loved that the hotel was dog friendly. I don't have a dog but love to see them at hotels where I'm staying!

A bit of an expensive stay and considering the price I found carpeting and walls in the hallway in need of rehabbing; carpet in the elevator and hallways was worn away in many places and there were some visible stains. It's almost as if it needed a refresh!

We chose the Kimpton because of how central it was in the historic district and it did not disappoint! We also chose this particular chain because of how pet friendly they are. The staff were beyond loving to our dog, which made the trip that much better. Everyone from the front desk, to the porters, to the maintenance staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Truly give these people all the raises!

Only half the elevators were working when we stayed, which meant it took forever to get up and down from the room. One time I think we waited for over 5 minutes for one. For the price we are paying, I would expect everything to at least be working properly.

The location was perfect, the staff were helpful since we are elderly, the bed was great.

Three of our five nights I woke early and went to the lobby to read. The night guard came in and told another woman and myself that the lobby was closed. I said, closed? He then asked if I was staying in the hotel and both she and I answered yes and he left. The following morning he came in and went to sleep on the couch as I was reading. I do not mind that he wanted to sleep, but to ask a guest to leave so he could sleep is not cool.

Room was so quite. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was lovely and private. Loved the door. Lots of use of space wisely. Excellent design. Smart lighting and Excellent heat/cooling .

One woman at the front desk told us hot tea wasn't available and we had to buy it at the restaurant. My husband went down later and lovely staff provided an electric kettle. We always bring tea bags. The room was dirty with dust and the floor was messy. When we asked to have it vacuumed the same first woman told us we had to ask for this and it was not included. The room was never dusted and my husband has allergies. The valet staff we amazing. All of them.

The location of the hotel was perfect. The room was large and the beds were very comfortable. Independence Hall sits diagonally across the street from the hotel. From our 7th floor window we could see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. We were able to walk to all of the historic sites and restaurants. We did have to take an UBER to the zoo and the Academy of Music. The complimentary breakfast offerings were really good and varied.

I didn't like the dollar limit on the complimentary breakfast. You were given a $15 dollar allowance, and anything over $15 you had to pay. I also didn't like that a gratuity was added to your breakfast bill each day. I like having the option to tip or not tip according to the service.

The room was comfortable but a little dated. The mattresses were firm and comfortable. Housekeeping did a good job of cleaning our room. The location of the hotel was excellent for visiting the historical sites in Philadelphia. We really enjoyed The Red Fox Tavern (restaurant associated with the hotel). We had breakfast at the hotel every morning along with several dinners. Good menu and very hospitable service. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Philadelphia.

One of the nicer rooms I’ve ever stayed in. It was a huge one bedroom suite and had a close view of Independence Hall. This hotel is only 1/4 block from the building itself. It was very clean and well appointed. It had a large bathroom and a nice huge bathtub and large shower. It was also quiet at night. The bed was very comfortable. It is also only a few blocks from the Revolutionary War Museum. The first floor attached bar and restaurant is a very popular spot. The bar had an excellent selection of spirits.

It has valet parking only and sometimes takes a little while to bring your car down. If you know when you need your car, text the valet for pickup about 15 minutes before.

The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The location was great, near what we were interested in doing —visiting museums, and a couple of blocks from Rittenhouse Square where there were good restaurants for lunch and dinner and a wonderful bakery for breakfast.

The public space was minute resulting in people sitting on top of each other for the free coffee in the morning. The decor of the hotel was generic, lacking in personality or character, and the room itself was small. The room rate made me expect a bit more.

I absolutely adore the decor at Kimpton Hotels. Always unique and interesting. Very comfortable room. I was in Philadelphia for July 4th. You couldn't have a better location for exploring the history in old downtown. Independence Hall is across the street. I could walk to anything I wanted to see. Also, this location had their own restaurant on site. The Red Owl Tavern served breakfast, brunch, lunch, happy hour and dinner. The food was exceptionally good.

The roof top bar was unavailable due to private events each night they were open.

This hotel is fantastic! The location cannot be beat for touring the historic sites, museums and great restaurants/bars. Our room (2 queen beds) was so much more spacious than I expected which was a real delight since we had our two teenage kids with us. The lobby is also a lovely place to just hang out if you need some downtime from sightseeing. And the hotel restaurant has a great menu.

Two of the four elevators were down during our stay so you had a wait a bit longer but it wasn't a big deal.
