Lovely garden birds and ducks walking around. Nice and cosy place with heat pump. A comfortable bed and sofa. Cooking facility and whiteware provided. Warm shower and bath. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and handwash were provided There was a Netflix so it is good to watch movies when it was raining all day. There were complimentary cookies and milk in the fridge.

Bathroom was quite cold. A bath tub with jacuzzi looked nice and it was suitable for two persons, not one. It took a long time to fill up and water cool down quick as cold temperature in the bathroom. It caused steam and high humidity in the bathroom, perhaps it requires a better bathroom fan to help with ventilation. Some jets need to be fixed I think. The liquid detergent should be better quality to help clean the dishes as there was no dishwasher. A drying rack needs to replace as it was broken but still usable. Lastly be careful there was a step when you got up and walked down. Night light next to the door was not wotking, but you could hear the senser tick tick but there was no light pop up.

Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean; this secluded guest house is perfect for a home base or for a short retreat during extended travel. The peaceful surroundings a few km outside central Invercargill feature extensive grounds with and an opportunity to see birds and bunnies. We were asked if we needed servicing during our 3 day stay and declined but they graciously came by to provide clean towels and to replenish supplies. Nice patio for al fresco dining. Well equipped kitchen and nice sitting and dining area. The only concern is the shallow step up into bedroom and the step up to the platform to the bed. An elderly bit vision impaired person might trip.

The facility was in a quiet area, had a lovely comfortable living area with good cooking facilities. Had a Jacuzzi which my partner loved and a very comfortable bed.

Really picky really but could do with an outside bin. I had nowhere to dispose of refuse. Also and this is really picky, a potato peeler would have been really handy. But if you look at those two items, they really amount to personal preference and doesn't detract that this is a lovely property.

Cabin in the wood. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Great communication with hosts.

A couple of comfortable outdoor chairs to enjoy the beautiful gardens would have been nice. As an aside, the taxi companies run very expensive services. Makes a night out in town an unacceptable cost, and as such we did not add the next two nights to the local restaurant scene. Share driving companies are not allowed to operate according to our driver. One company did not accept any cards, cash only.

Luxurious spacious cottage - well appointed with everything you might need. Set in lovely gardens and very secluded. The hosts are very responsive but discreet and give the guests as much privacy as they want. Comfy bed, lovely lounge area and great kitchen - so you could set up a home from home. Good Wifi. Convenient for Invercargill and the surrounding countryside as well as near to transport to Stewart Island. Highly recommended.

Nothing at all

Everything. The setting of the house was perfect. Like a little cottage in a forrest with the rain on the roof and the birds singing. Only thing missing was some fellow deer and fawns on the grounds outside the windows. 😂. Seriously a gorgeous wee house located in the bush setting, was perfect. Fire going a few wines and a relaxing spa bath was all perfect. Only downer was we had to leave. Recommend to anyone for some relaxation.

Very cosy stay during a few wet and windy days. Perfect place to unwind and relax after a weeks road tripping. Contactless access to the cabin and though the owners live on the property, you have complete privacy with your own driveway access to the cottage. Owners are easily contactable if you have a problem via email or phone. Netflix, spa, fireplace all set up to go, rugs on the lounge, heating, spa, dining table set with quality tableware and a well equipped kitchen. Welcome cookies on the bench. Beautiful garden view, wake to birds chirping and ducks waddling by. Sadly we didn't get to wander around the gardens, as invited to, due to the windy, wet weather. Close enough to town but far enough away to have a country stay feel. We just loved our relaxing stay here.

Nothing that would put me off staying here again. The cottage had a rustic feel which gave it charm. Certainly not a negative comment because it was very clean and well appointed with quality furniture (comfy lounge and bed) and appliances.

A secret gem just outside of Invercargill town. This property is just amazing on many levels. The indoor and outdoor space, the furnishings, and very clean. The spa on a cold day was a very welcomed treat. Hosts were very accommodating. Room was warm upon arrival. Highly recommended and will stay again if we visit Invercargill.

Nothing much really. If ever, just an additional doormat outside to stop us from walking muck into the beautiful room.

Great communication. Very comfortable accommodation, with lots of space and everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Loved the huge spa bath and lovely packaged Epsom salts to soak in. Also having a fire was an added bonus. The outdoor surroundings & gardens were stunning.

Nothing not to like

Our stay at Milton Park Estate was exceptional. The property is gorgeous- lovely flowers, trees, fantail birds. It’s like staying in a botanical garden. The guest house is private and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean. The jacuzzi tub was a delight. This was one of our best stays on our three week trip.

The bed was hard and therefore we didn’t sleep well. Others might like the firm mattress. Everything else was excellent.
