The area is very peaceful. The staff is very kind and helpful. The food at the two restaurant are very nice. Don't miss the Salmon at Kota restaurant. Beautiful scenery. We had a cottage king cabin, very nice. Mrs Teija at the Aitta restaurant makes you feel as part of the family. Excellent hospitallity by Mrs. Teija.

Only two things i miss at the property. A convenience store and the rooms don't have tv. It would be very nice to chill inside your cabin next to the fire place and watch some movie while waiting for the Northen lights to appear.

Amazing location. Cabin was beautiful and compact. We were incredibly lucky and experienced Aurora on our first night so was made the trip incredibly worthwhile. Great breakfast buffet offered with accommodation. Beautiful and picturesque.

Snow came in early for our stay so winter activities were not set up yet (not the resorts fault). It would be great if the resort were able to offer a complimentary shuttle from Rovaniemi to Apukka. Shuttle is around 15 Euros pp (can't remember exact price). The bus is unreliable to the airport so a taxi cost 40 Euros. If you are quite tall beware of the low doors and difference in floor level. There are two restaurants at the resort- they both quite expensive. Would love to see a more relaxed bar style type menu as fine dining each night for dinner can sometimes be a bit too much but I understand this is a resort and the prices reflect that. Overall, we had an incredible time and will be a once in a lifetime experience for our family.

Apukka was outstanding! We had the most wonderful stay with exceptional staff. The igloos were just beautiful and comfortable. Seeing the northern lights 2 days in a row were a bonus .. Thank you for amazing two days .

It was all exceptionally good

We spent 2 nights in last week of Jan and it was a magical winter wonderland! Great property with tonnes of activities inside. You could easily spend a couple of days within the property without having to step out. There is also a lake inside the property which was completely frozen and we had tonnes of fun walking on the lake and doing kick sledding. There are decent vegetarian/vegan food options in the in-house restaurant Property is less than 30 mins driving distance from the airport/city/Santa Claus village Good connectivity with a lot of shuttle or cab options

the location and the facility is great. we stayed at a kammi suite which is the best option to go at Apukka. integrated amazingly into the Lapland landscape and just beside the lake it offers a unique experience! great also is at Apukka you can get almost all adventure packs in house

hotel service level was very basic. options for food at the 2 restaurants of the hotel were very limited. let’s don’t forget my room was charged 900+ per night. at these price points you expect nothing but the best. overall the service is not a strong characteristic of the Finish touristic industry I suppose (judging from the overall experience in Rovaniemi/Helsinki etc.)

The resort have list of things you can do here ( additional fee, of course ) We stayed only 2 nights so we just stay here and enjoying the resort, relaxing.

We have glasses above our bed, just too bad it's not our lucky day...we don't get to see the aurora here There is time limit to use the hot water to shower ( i forget how many minutes ) You must wait for few more hours for it to get hot again. But i dont think it's an issue if there are only 2 persons in the room. In my case, there are 4 of us, we all manage to get hot shower, but i shower with worry that hot water can finish any minutes :p

This resort is extremely well run and is picturesque lakeside. The property is spread out across many acres and some of the activities are operated from the surrounding properties (reindeer farm and dog sledding) and are walking distance. The resort requires vehicles to get to and is not near the town of Robaniemi. Transportation will need to be arranged. We rented a car and it was easy to get to from the town.

The cost of some of the amenities were very overpriced such as the on-site infrared sauna. It’s the quintessential Finnish experience and although it’s not wood heated (most traditional) it should be more accessible to visitors. I’m of Finnish descent and having grown up with this in every home in Finland, don’t understand why it’s at this price point.

The dinner selection was limited and pricey for the quality.

Apukka had been on my dream list for some time now and it did not disappoint - Loved the whole village, the cozy spaces in freezing temperatures, the facilities, Good breakfast options and the amazing staff!

The only thing off is the access to the village - if you are not renting car, its a bit of challenge to navigate to and fro between main town and Apukka and it costs every time - The shuttles are limited and if you miss, theres not much public transports, means you'll be hiring taxi, which is a costly option. Also, to and fro between airport could be provided.

Quiet, comfy, beautiful

The shower wasn’t warm enough. It may be to Finish standard, but could be warmer. Especially after a day in the cold.
