Modern and nice accommodation which had everything we needed. nice and clean bathroom, the room was also very clean and the beds were comfortable. It had only paper cups at hand (with complementary coffee, creamer, sugar and tea) but better than nothing :) As a place to rest on a road it was great :)

The area is industrial and surprisingly ugly, it was the ugliest place we visited in Iceland (and we did the whole Ring road + Westfjords), when we were arriving to the guesthouse we weren't sure if we are going the right direction. But like I wrote in the positive things - as a place to rest on a road it was great :)

I recently stayed at this guesthouse in a small, quiet village. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The room was well-equipped with thoughtful accessories like a kettle, toiletries, a hairdryer and a fridge.

However, the location is very remote, with little to explore nearby. While it's perfect for a peaceful getaway, those looking for walking paths or local attractions might find it too isolated. Ideal for a relaxing stay, but not for those seeking activities.

We stayed there only for one night but were treated extremely kindly. We were a bit unlucky in the weather and were stuck in a horrible storm. The Guesthouse owners let us check in later and also check out later due to the unsafe driving conditions. They were extremely kind and super thoughtful! The hotel room itself was really decent - we spent there stuck for whole 24h and were really comfortable.

We were happy with everything.

Would have been helpful to know of close locations for breakfast. We had left an object behind and the lack of communication to arrange collection was poor. On the day of pick up the arrangements were not followed through and a much simpler arrangement could have been made (we discovered the owners office was across the street). Despite this glitch the stay was good.

Black beach guesthouse location is perfect for traveling in Iceland, start traveling from Reykjavik then by evening come here for a cheaper stay. Room’s are clean, beds are so comfortable, very easy to get in, they will send you your codes and information for the doors to get in the day before arrival: it’s so easy and quick, and you don’t have to talk to anyone to get your key! My family was all happy with a comfy bed and warm blankets.

Excellent location for a short visit to SW Iceland. Clean and comfortable and easy to access. Very quiet. Restaurants and supermarket a short walk away or Selfoss town 25 minutes drive for more options. The owners were easy to contact and helpful (there was a light out in the bathroom). The heath between the church and the sea is very rich in flowers for an evening stroll.

Nothing to dislike for me.

The location is great. The room itself is very cozy, the bed is super comfortable. Bathroom is beautiful and well equipped and the warm shower was so nice after a cold and rainy day. There is also a radiator that heats up the room very quickly. There are a small fridge and a kettle as well. It was very peaceful, the sound isolation is great. It was a wonderful start of our journey, I would gladly come back!

Great no-contact, "keycard-less" experience: you receive a PIN code by email to access your room. The area is quiet, and there are plenty of parking spaces around. Even though the guesthouse looked almost fully booked, we never heard any noises from the other rooms. The room was quite pleasant, cosy and comfortable which made us feel at home. It had some nice amenities too, like a kettle and coffee/tea, which were replenished by the staff for the next day which was great. We have really enjoyed our stay here!

We just stayed one night but I wouldn't have minded to stay longer. What I liked were: +) A good value for price compared to other stays +) The keyless handling of the rooms +) The contact was extraordinarily friendly and responded immediately to questions +) Everything was clean and looking nice +) Easy parking possibilities in a quiet village +) Nice decor making it really cosy

-) the elevator was not working when we were there so we had to carry the heavy luggage of my sister up the stairs. In theory not a problem for us but the staircase was very tight -) the cleaning personnel kept knocking at my door (multiple times) to check if we already left eventhough check-out was until 11:00. Maybe a system to hang on the door handle would have made this more peaceful (e.g. "if you already checked out please hang this label at the door") in case it is really necessary to start cleaning at a time where guests are still there

Clean, simple room with a little bath. It was easy to get in, even late in the evening, because the doorlocks worked with a code. It is ideal if you only need an accomodation in Iceland.

It is a hotel room, so the only thing you have in it is an electric kettle. So if you want to boil or cook some food it is not possible. It is not a problem, if you do not need a breakfast or other dishes.
