The cleanliness. This was one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. The bed was super comfortable, and the pillows were clouds. The shower was awesome. It was huge and had 3 different shower heads. The location is very convenient. It's right at the beginning of the strip, and Anakeesta is right across the street. The staff and environment are great as well. We tried extending the stay an extra night, but they were sold out for the next day. We'll definitely be staying here next time we get a hotel in The Smoky Mountains.

Location is great!

We have stayed here since the resort opened. We have been coming to Gatlinburg since 1981 and have stayed at many different places. We had been staying at the Park Vista until the Margaritaville Resort opened. The reason we quit staying at the PV was it seemed to be getting dirty and run down. I am beginning to see the same with this Resort Hotel, specifically with dirty grout in the showers and dirty balcony furniture. The refrigerator was falling out of the cabinet doors when we arrived and I had to re-level myself to use it. Drains in the sinks were slow, especially the one in the bedroom. Nothing terrible. It was just not up to what we were used to based on our last visit in September of 2024.

Loved just about everything about Margaritaviile Resort from drive up driveway, seeing the '53 Woody parked out front, ready with surfboard on roof and huge Flip-flop lawn decoration to being greeted by Moose, the valet who gave off Jimmy Buffett vibes • Ambiance in Lobby, exterior patio & room bright & colorful. Outstanding interior design throughout whole resort inspired us to book extra night • Nice, brightly lighted mirror and ample vanity in bathroom. Double shower size with multiple showerheads was an amazing experience! • Enjoyed Jimmy Buffett music played throughout resort • Location perfect for walking to shops and many recreational spots Gatlinburg offers

Complimentary coffee not available to guests • Air conditioner next to bed too loud and ran too long. Woke us middle of night when automatically turned on • Suggestion: Addition of soap dispenser by wet bar sink would be convenient where coffeemaker, frig & microwave are situated to make it easier for handwashing as guests prep food/drinks in room

I loved the cleanliness. The room and the restroom was spacious! Loved the wet bar. The indoor and outdoor pools were great 👍. The staff and the bartender were very friendly. 3 types of shower heads, excellent. Parrot show every Tuesdays.

The hottub was okay, it could be a tad hotter. The drain near the chairs of the hot tub area was clogged. The 1 night heavy , flooded the floors and washed away flip flops and chairs. The pool was 4.5ft deep, a tad more depth would be better plus a on duty lifeguard. Would like to have some hotel pool noodles.

Beautiful!!! …Relaxing stay. The hotel location is within walking distance to everything in downtown Gatlinburg! Also, The complimentary Trolley station is located right next door too!

Beware of the huge geese that fly over the Margaritaville Hotel parking lot!! During my stay there the geese feces bombed my vehicle! Thinking my black car had been vandalized I contacted hotel security. Security came out to photograph my car and explain that I had indeed been bombed with geese feces! Hotel security graciously cleaned my car and apologized!! I will say …. I was shocked when I saw the mess on my car! All is well that ends well though … just be aware!

Loved everything

We were SO impressed with the resort from the moment we walked into the beautiful, spacious lobby. Our room was stunning, and housekeeping kept our room spotless during our stay. All the staff were so courteous, especially our favorite valet, "Moose!" The bar, pool areas, and adjacent spa were perfect amenities. Within walking distance to tons of great restaurants, shopping, & entertainment. Although we were there the week of July 4th (& apparently the resort was sold out) we never felt crowded and our stay was quiet & restful.

Having different options on one property was nice. The decor and vibe was beachy without being on the beach. All the staff members were very friendly and welcoming. The spa was very relaxing, and inviting as soon as you walk through the door, making it very pleasant. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and I would definitely stay there again.

The only thing I would have liked to be different, was that there was another hot tub. There was only one, which I felt was not enough for the amount of guests at the resort. Also, maybe different pillows, but that is just a personal preference.

Loved the feel of the resort, great amenities; fire pit, pools, corn hole and the spa. Great location, easy to walk to everything. Had a nice breakfast in the cafe. Staff was friendly and birds were fun too!

We had a fire alarm go off at around 1:00 am. In the cold morning we all headed outside to see what happened. We saw police, the fire department and minimal staff. We waited to be informed as to what had happened?? We saw the police leave... people started heading back to their rooms but we were never informed about what happened or MOST IMPORTANT... we were never told it was safe to go back to our rooms. Not a good way to handle the situation.

The location of the property, free parking and the facilities were beautiful. They also made great margaritas and the food at the bar was also good. The room had an electric fireplace that was a nice bonus. The staff were all courteous and pleasant.

The hotel is lovely and I saw people cleaning the common areas of the hotel - lobby, bar, public bathrooms all the time but the rooms were not cleaned as well. The balcony and its furniture were dirty and the lights outside were on all night. There was a boat decoration in the room that looks like it was never dusted. The bathroom was clean though.
