All was good and felt safe and loved the location to the Village.

There was a lack of Customer Service from the lady who was working the front desk at 10:30am on Oct 31st. She was very rude and was on the phone. I waited for her to get off when I asked if our room happened to be ready. She turned and pointed to the check in sign that said 3:00pm and looked at me with a curt smile. She needs more training on how to run a front desk. Not Good at all!!!

It was great, easy access to rooms. Great location, it was right off strip so great location to everything. Had really nice seating areas outside with fireplace and by a creek. Only complaint is when we were packing up to leave my wife found a bug, but in the mountains that’s bound to happen every once in a while.

The Gatlinburg location doesn’t have breakfast. They have free coffee, apple juice, orange juice, muffins and cereal bars.

Cleaning staff changed out our towels everyday but if you left any personal items (pillows or blankets) they won’t make your bed. The hotel has laminate floors instead of carpet. It rained off and on during our stay so grit and grim was tracked in from the parking lot and sidewalks, the room floor was never swept or mopped during our stay.

Location and price. Fire pit was awesome! Very spacious room. Walking distance to main strip in Gatlinburg.

The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Walked on the floors in the room barefooted and bottom of my feet was black. I complained at the front desk and the attendant said “ that’s the way those floors are they are just that way. Actually the floors needed a good mopping.

have stayed here quite a few times now. we love the location and love the staff generally. I love that it is quick and easy to get checked in and out. The grounds around the complex are very nice and maintained.

The last two times we have been, we’ve noticed a big change in the cleanliness of our rooms. the floors are essentially untouched. they get a simple dust sweep and that’s it. The ice bucket was not cleaned. the bathtub still had hair in it and the bathroom sink hadn’t been cleaned. It’s pretty disappointing after receiving such great customer service in the office. The floors could use an actual cleaning, not just a dust sweep. The bathroom could use more attention to detail as well. the little details tells me that whoever is cleaning the rooms actually care. This didn’t show in this room or the one we’ve previously stayed in. The bathroom sink faucet is also too short for the sink bowl. I know this is minimal, but annoying because it causes the water to run onto the sink.

I did not spend much time in the room, but the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Private balcony is a plus. I got up before sunrise each morning to hit the park trails and beat the crowds, and I really appreciated the lobby having coffee ready to go and it was very good too!

Room cleanliness was subpar. There was a wad of toilet paper stuck to the rim of the toilet bowl when I arrived. And there was a long piece of black hair on the shower wall. The floor also felt a bit sticky.

I absolutely loved my stay at Howard Johnson, in downtown Gatlinburg! The location is the best, it is within walking distance to many different restaurants, gift shops,and attractions etc, and close enough to walk to just about anywhere that you and your family want to go!!! Also loved that it was very clean and comfortable, shower was great too! Bed was also very comfortable with nice soft and clean bed linens! I will definitely book my next stay at Howard Johnson, when I return to Gatlinburg, and would recommend to all my family and friends!!!

Floors need to be cleaner. I get it’s hard wood but should not have to wash my feet to put on my socks and shoes.

Location and not a bad price

My only problem I had was when I was booking it on booking.com. My friend doesn’t like paying online so I was okay with using my card to reserve a room for us. It said I could pay when I got there. I called them and asked if I used my card to reserve it and then pay with a different card once we checked in. They said it was fine. Once we got there my card was charged and they said it was because I did it with booking.com. I was able to work it out with my friend but I was told by the hotel that I could use a different card once we checked in.

Great cozy atmosphere and everyone was friendly and very accommodating!!! Great place to stay within walking distance to all the great restaurants shops and attractions!!! Loved the fact I didn’t have to drive anywhere…even though we did travel some while we were there but wasn’t a necessity!! We seen a bear twice there which I know is not unusual but for my son it was the best exciting experience!!! The pools were a big hit as well as the firepits!! Will definitely be back to stay here again the next time we visit!!
