The pub is cosy and the perfect place for conversation or reading, the staff are absolutely lovely, the bedsheets are clean, and the place is overall comfy. It is simply perfect for a traveler on a budget looking for a good location and some friendly company (or just a good burger).
It is important to note that this is a hostel, which means that the bathrooms and shower rooms are shared (there may be some waiting time to get a shower room). The cleanliness of the facilities will depend on the other guests and I strongly recommend a pair of slippers for the showers. A pair of earplugs are also recommended for the sleeping quarters, as other guests may come and go regardless of the time of night. As much as I love the place, I am well aware that it is not for everyone; in particular individuals who are light sleepers and care a lot about clean shower rooms.

Staff were just sooo friendly and polite and listened when i really needed it. I needed a safe honest place to stay and every staff member and even the cleaner were very lovely and kind and helpful. I love great customer service that makes you feel happy and they all were all exceptional. I would stay here again great location to Victoria bus station and tube and the sights and really good nightly rate. it's great to meet nice people. Ohhh and can't forget to mention the great coffee and sell great food till late evening. Thanks beautiful people

Victoria Station is nearby and the hostel's reception is open 24h. That's handy for late arrivals and early departures. Service was friendly. The building itself is quite charming and the pub looked nice. The 3-level dorm beds are sturdy and clean. Bathrooms were nice enough and I didn't have to wait for my turn, so I guess there are enough of them along the corridors. Lockers in the room looked fine, but I didn't bother using mine for a quick 1-night stay. Some windows were kept open through the night so we had enough fresh air.
The 9-bed female dorm didn't have much floor space, but that's normal for downtown hostels. If the weather had been warmer, the lack of A/C might have been a problem for some people.

Lovely staff. Great location. Even though I didn't find the mattress particularly comfortable, I had a super sleep. Not sure how that happened. You can leave your luggage with them for safe keeping. Lockers in room (being your own lock). Plug and USB for every bed.
You could hear music till late (even though my room was high up). Not a deal breaker, as it was barely noticeable, but you know how it is when you hear the constant doof doof... Bathrooms are not sufficient for rush hour. One of the shower rooms had a flooded floor (not sure if it was because of the person showering or if it was leaking). You can't sit up in the bunk beds - the space doesn't allow it. No lights by the bed. I know this is a minor matter, but I don't appreciate being asked to write a positive review for a cup of coffee. I really wanted a cup of coffee, but I also wanted to write an honest review. So I didn't take the coffee.

I loved the building, the 'traditional' vibe of having a pub with accommodations, and the pub itself which offered drinks and food 24/7!! FREE cold drinking water! (mostly unexpected for me in Europe). The location was super chill, convenient and also felt secure, the room, beds and sheets were clean and comfortable, and lockers were provided. The wifi was also fast and reliable. Most important of all every member of the staff was super patient, friendly and helpful with my many requests for info about the city and help!
I was a little sad (and poorer for it) that there was nothing I could use to heat cheap supermarket food (i e. a microwave) like many other hostels offer. And the toilets.... I couldn't comprehend why there was always perfectly unused-looking toilet paper scattered in the ground, but I quickly understood this is is not the hostel not cleaning (they did), but a London/England? thing, every single other toilet I visited outside had this, it's a mystery I'll live with the rest of my life! 😅

Felt very safe - good location for Victoria coach station- very easy to find. Friendly and haldlpful staff. Nice international crowd in the bar - I had a good evening. Food available though I didn't try that, but coffee at 6.30am was much appreciated. Women only dorm. Clean and comfy bed, secure lockers. I slept well.
The bunk was quite high to climb in and out of and the ladder wasn't great. Shared toilets/ washroom very busy on ghecmorning and floors were wet. Take flip flops - my fabric slippers were soaked.

Excellent location, nice staff, comfy beds, clean. This is my second stay here. Always wear a face mask and ear plugs please. There’s a cage to store your stuff in the room (I stayed in the 12-bed dorm). Room has a window but it’s not totally open.
As a suggestion, it might be better to have wooden beds or another type of bed in the hostel, as the ones currently in use are very noisy. I was on the upper bunk (1/3), and I tried not to move much to avoid disturbing the two people below me (bed was very comfy thou). However, I shared a “wooden wall” with the next bunk, and they didn’t hesitate to make noise and move as they pleased making my whole bunk bed to shake unstoppable. My second suggestion is to create some sort of separation in the toilet area, as each bathroom floor is always wet due to water from the shower spreading everywhere.

A really nice hostel for a few nights stay. Good location in Westminster, comfortable beds, lockers for luggage, enough bathrooms. Positive also about electric socket next to every bed. I really appreciated the bar and food downstairs - enjoyable breakfasts served everyday. I liked the whole building giving British vibes!
I would have 2 suggestions for improvements. One is about the bathrooms - there is a lot of water everywhere after shower. It would be better if the floor was lower underneath the shower. Secondly, the door to the room. It is old and very noisy. You can imagine how many times the door is opened and closed if 12 people sleep in the same room. Every door closure causes the whole room to shake.

Bed was super comfy. I loved that I could stay in an all female dorm- great for solo female travelers! I honestly couldn't believe how cheap this location was considering I was only a 10 minute walk from Victorian Station. The room was also super quiet at night, everyone followed the guidelines for quiet after 10pm. The bunk beds were placed so that when the main light was turned on, it didn't shine into the bunks which I thought was very thoughtful design. Everything was clean and plenty of power points. I would definitely recommend this if you're travelling for work and just looking for an affordable, quiet place to stay. Also it has a 24 hr bar and reception.
Remember to bring a lock for the cage lockers in the bedroom (they cost 5 euros on reception) and flip flops for the showers which had very wet floors. Not really a problem, just good to know before you arrive!
