Clean and tidy room and bathroom. Very nice and friendly owners. Perfect bekfast. The room was big and all the necessary cutlery was there. Also fridge and teapot. Parking place is available if necessary. On the opposite side of the house is a big and beautiful park for walks, 15 min on foot to tesco, pubs, costa and other shops. There goes bus 47 from city centre, so no problems to get there.

The facilities were good and modern. The staff helpful and available. Parking was close to the door. A bus to the old town is literally across the road. A kettle and coffee/tea/milk etc and a fridge were available. A guest book has ideas of what to do and where to eat locally. Downstairs was a selection of books on Scotland that I found useful reading. Carpeted and nice decor. We did not have breakfast there but saw the nicely laid-out dining room.

The eateries and supermarket were not nearby to walk to but were accessible by car. However, need to account for one-way roads and crossing a very busy main road. No elevator to go up the stairs. However, it is only one floor.

The host was friendly and very informative. We asked for a late check-in, and the host was very accommodating. The room was very tidy with its own mini fridge, which was so handy, and it was only 12 minutes from Edinburgh city centre.

The overall experience was lovely, but just something to be aware of: The front door has a second manual lock, and during our visit, someone must have accidently locked it. We checked in later than normal and couldn't get in with just our door key. We had to call and knock for a while until we were let in. The host was very apologetic and extended our checkout time.

Absolute satisfaction. Thanks to the way we handed over the key, we could check in at any time. We had breakfast included, which is convenient to pick up by 8 pm, but we were told that if we didn't have time, we could arrange it in the morning. The room seemed small, but it was just with a completely adequate bathroom. Everything was clean. There was a kettle in the room and even tea and coffee, which made us very happy because we had thermoses for staying in the cold outside. Heating in the bathroom and in the room, pleasant warmth. Very soft beds, standard duvet + blankets in the closet, 2 pillows on the bed. Makeshift, sufficient table, bedside tables and a chair. In the bathroom, a spacious shower with a great head, sink, toilet with plenty of toilet paper. Bath towels and towels, a mat in front of the shower. Quiet accommodation, a few steps from the bus stop 47 and 43. Across a short, but unlit park at night, there is a Tesco, a pub, shops and other bus stops. Great location for the center, the beach and the airport. The landlady is very nice and the breakfasts are simply divine, you can't miss them. Homemade, but incredibly professional and delicious. We would love to come back someday.

The rooms were bigger than expected and everything was clean. The beds are on the soft side but I didn't mind for a few days. The breakfast was excellent and always freshly prepared, no buffet, only a la carte. Because of that adjustments were also possible (we were two vegetarians and the Scottish diet is rather meat heavy). You could easily reach the city center via Bus (takes about 15 minutes) and the airport is a less than 30 minute bus drive away. There is a Tesco close by and since there is a fridge in the room we were able to store some snacks and drinks without problems. Anjoe and Thomas were very nice and accommodating and always ready to help us solve problems.

Our room was very comfortable, but traffic was a little noisy in the morning. I loved the little extras like fresh milk, room fridge, extra glasses and corkscrew/bottle opener. You have to order breakfast by 8pm, select what you want from a pretty good selection and say what time you want it. So it was freshly cooked. We were arriving late, and I didn't have access to a printer. Anjou just took my order via email and it worked perfectly. Special bonus, the cafetiere coffee was just the right strength.

Apart from the traffic noise, which didn't really trouble me, but my partner is a lighter sleeper. We had to be up and away, so not looking for a lie in.

The hosts were very kind. I loved the fresh milk in the fridge, coffee and tea replenished daily, toiletries smelled lovely. Breakfast was delicious. Great location - on the bus route to city centre (Edinburgh Castle) and to the airport. The Guest Book in the room has lots of useful information. I liked self check-in.

Musty smell of towels. Sound of washing machine/tumble dryer at 6-7am and after 11pm heard in our room (louder in one corner of the room, where my bed was).

It was close to the airport making it convenient to return rental car for an early flight. There was free onsite parking available for our car. The room had a refrigerator and the staff gave us small milk container for tea. Tea pot, teas, sugar and cups were provided. Easy to get in using lock box to retrieve room key.

Traffic is very heavy on Queensferry road between 4-6 pm with people leaving the city. If arriving from the west on Queensferry road almost impossible to turn right across two lanes of bumper to bumper cars into the property parking. We had to drive a mile past the lodge to be able to turn around because road filled with cars, then slow progress back to the lodge for a left turn into property, (recommend try to approach the lodge from the east on Queensferry road for an easy left turn into parking area, or don’t arrive during heavy commute time). Road traffic noise stayed heavy during the evening so I had to wear earplugs when sleeping, (earplugs were supplied in the room).

I stayed at a lovely accommodation recently. The room was adorable, and the bed was soft and clean. The owner of the accommodation was extremely kind and allowed me to leave my luggage overnight for free. They even brought my luggage from the upper floor to the lower floor. The accommodation is located near a bus stop, making it convenient to travel from the airport and explore the city. It doesn't take much time to get around.

One suggestion I have is that the accommodation doesn't have a lift. So, if you stay on the second floor, you'll need to carry your luggage up several steps of stairs.

Ease of check in. Room was well equipped and comfortable. Lovely little touches - jug of milk in mini fridge (a mini fridge!) with some bottled water. Although on main road, room was quiet. Excellent transport links to Princes Street (43 Lothian bus from Clermiston Drive stop near guest house) Super friendly hosts and great breakfast. So accommodating xx

Nothing that I didn’t like. A tiny thing - Just found the temperature in shower hard to regulate- a little too hot. And perhaps a little holder to put shower gel/ soap etc in shower?
