Awesome experience. Check-in was quick and easy (thanks to great communication with Mattia). Room was nice and clean. The view from the terrace was simply amazing and the breakfast was definitely 10/10. Mattia and the owner of the B&B is there for the whole morning and they will prepare you what you wish so you can start your day with fresh home-made cappucino with proscciuto toast or scrumbled eggs and wide selection of sweet pastries, yoghurts and fruits. And even during the rest of the day there is plenty of snacks and beverages for you, which was highly appreciated. Beach is just outside of the house and it is rocky (I mean dangerously rocky) so definitely bring some water shoes. Water is otherwise clean and nice. There is plenty of restaurant/bar/coffee house options everywhere. And the connection to the Rome via train is excellent (also to Pisa). And last thing - I can recommend this place also as a good home-office/remote working place. I did use one of my days from my vacation for work and attended some online meeting and everything was great.

Excellent B&B!!! Everyone made us feel at home. in downtown Civitavecchia and easy walking distance to many restaurants. An easy 5 minute taxi ride to the cruise port. Our room was immaculate and cozy with modern fixtures. The common area was nice with fruit, snacks, pastries and many alcoholic options all free of charge!!! The 3rd floor covered large patio was great for our cooked to order breakfast that included eggs, pastries, fruit, juice and coffee. We were all treated to a wonderful view of the sea about 100 yards from our patio. Beautiful!!! I highly recommend! Marina, the owner, greeted us with open arms. She is a great host!!!

This property has 4 rooms available for guests with common areas. Luckily, we were the only guests, one day prior, to our cruise next day. The facility was impeccably clean with strong air conditioning, an updated bathroom with hot water and a washing machine as well. Hosts were most hospitable & kind. We arrived and were immediately assisted with our luggage, and shown the property. There were baked goods, fruits, fresh juices & cereals at our disposal. We were asked about breakfast preferences next morning. Hot or Cold breakfast was available. The waterfront views were fantastic as we sat outside in the patio for breakfast. Our taxi was promptly arranged by the host and we could not have been happier with the stay. (Mind you this is based on our unique experience)

You cannot see it right away. You enter the building address shared by others, go up a few steps, turn left, and you see a door in your left with the Name sticker to indicate you have arrived. Wished signage was bigger and at the front of the building somehow. If you do know what to expect ahead of time, this will not be an issue. The stay was well worth it 100 %.

Germano showed us around the cute kitchen area where there were snacks and drinks for us to help ourselves to and the balcony where breakfast is served has a wonderful view.

I was informed that our room was for only one guest. On booking.com it says one room for 2 adults for $ which is the way I book all my hotel stays (never is there a price for one person that I have seen or needed). So we had to pay an extra 20 euro upon arrival. I tried two different ways to contact booking.com but never received a response. The other issue was so many stairs before getting to the elevator. But the staff was very helpful to bring our bags up and down. Our mattress could have been a bit more comfortable and the a/c was very cold for one side of the bed. We had to turn the a/c off eventually.

If I could give this place a 20 out of ten I would. This place is fabulous. It has an elevator after you walk up a flight of steps but staff will help with luggage. Our bathroom was brand new I assume the others are as well. The property is impeccably clean. The breakfast was excellent. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable. The balcony has great views and it’s comfortable to sit out in the evening and has ample room so you don’t feel you’re on top of the other guests. This is a three bedroom apartment and all bedrooms have an en-suite. Germano responds to all what’s app texts immediately, always. It’s is a two block walk from the train station. Local restaurants are very good we at il vento just south of the train station on the water. If you don’t have transport to your ship walk back to train station and take the bus for 3 or 4 euro. We will definitely stay here again when we take another cruise out of Civitavecchia.

La Marina is impeccably clean, light and bright. Breakfast is served on the balcony overlooking the Mediterranean and is walking distance to a free shuttle to the port for cruise ships. Also, the train station for those coming from Rome is only three blocks away. We were personally welcomed by Marina, the owner and her assistant. Marina is very attentive and is eager to make you comfortable. She asks you what time you would like to have breakfast and offers some options. This property is modern, immaculate, beautifully appointed and comfortable. La Marina is a definite #10!!!

Because there are 8 steps outside and 18 steps at the entry someone with difficulty climbing steps may have a problem. Otherwise, La Marina is an outstanding property.

Mattia and Andreà were so kind and helpful. Nice tidy room with spectacular view on terrace. Common room filled with drinks and nibblies.

The shower was a little small for me.

It was close to everything. The port, restaurants, and beautiful boardwalk right across the street on the ocean. Breakfast in the morning on the shared balcony was beautiful. There was a bit of a language barrier but the owner was very sweet and helpful once we used google translate. Lol

Main complaint would be the stairs. You need to go up quite a few sets of stairs before you can use the small elevator to get to the top floor. This was not mentioned or advertised in the listing. No balcony in room which was disappointing. Also signs to find the place were not the greatest. Luckily I had googled it before we left so I had a rough idea what to look for. But I still had to ask several people where it was located in the building once we got dropped off.

The owners of this BnB really go out of their way to make a perfect stay for their visitors. The BnB is in a quiet location in the apartment building above a tiny mall, and therefore a bit complicated to find. However, we were met outside by the enthusiastic Germano, who led us to the entrance, and then insisted on carrying our suitcases up the one flight of stairs. In the main room there was an entire well-stocked bar of aperitifis and digestifs (including a yummy limoncelle in the freezer), and an extensive set of snacks, fresh fruit, yogurt, and fruit juices as well as coffee capsules and a Nespresso, all free, and replenished virtually every time we turned around. For the next morning's breakfast they offered us cereals, fruit, croissants, even ham and cheese. Our room slept the 3 of us and both the queen size and single bed were comfortable, and there were extra blankets and pillows in a cupboard. They gave us excellent recommendations for dinner, and were flexible about a late breakfast, since we were in no hurry to get to our cruise (the port is only a 20 minute walk - there is also a bus, and a free shuttle from the train station). In fact we lingered over breakfast to enjoy the stellar view of the ocean from the breakfast room (it was a bit too chilly to eat out on the balcony).

The only negative was the staff and owner's repeated insistence that we rate them a 10. Little business cards reminded us, a big poster reminded us, and even a plastified document that was shown to us repeatedly during breakfast carried the same message. Their welcome was so spectacular, and they were so generous and helpful, that they really didn't need to urge us to rate them highly, but their insistence became bothersome by the end. I'm guessing there must be some particular reason for this. I'm just hoping they can let go of that, and just concentrate on all the things they are doing right.

Our host was extremely friendly and went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast he set up for us was exceptional!
