The hotel has great character. The man at the front desk was very nice and great help. Loved the kitchenette and the room design. Just cool

Paying $288.00 for a night stay you wouldn't expect to clean out a full fridge full of pungent food that was left from the last people who stayed. I brought food to bring that needed refrigeration and felt uncomfortable putting my food in not knowing how long the food had been in there and that it hadn't been cleaned. Also there was a chair with obvious stains and so I didn't understand from this how it was a $288.00 value Pillows - Id bring my own. Not comfortable and old.

This is my 3rd time staying at The Knickerbocker. I really like this property. It’s got a ton of character. The rooms are spacious and clean and every room I’ve rented has always had a full kitchen. The bathrooms are small without a lot of storage but the bedrooms themselves are spacious. There is a restaurant/bar on site that is full service with a very good menu. There is also guest parking which is a huge plus.

We arrived about 1 pm and had already checked in online. So we didn’t expect our room but assumed we’d be able to park the car in the lot since we were registered guests. This would allow us the security of leaving our bags in the car while we walked around town. When I asked the woman on the front desk, she confirmed we were checked in but wouldn’t give us a parking pass. She said we couldn’t have it until our room was ready. This made no sense at all. We were confirmed guests. We were checked in. I’m not sure if that’s the policy, if she didn’t know the policy so chose what she considered to be the easiest and fastest way to get rid of us or what. Either way, if you’re checked in and a registered guest and your room isn’t ready, you should be able to park your car.

The hotel is a really old historic building which is amazing. The restaurant is clearly popular both at lunch time and dinner, the food is excellent and very reasonably priced and the waiting staff are exceptional. The lady on reception was so helpful and friendly and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. I wasn't expecting ironing facilities so was pleasantly surprised to find one available in the room. We stayed 2 nights and would definitely stay again.

Very calming charming old building. Rooms extra quiet and comfortable. Location was the reason I chose the Knick. Easily walking distant to museums and lakefront.

Some aspects of an old building are scary at times. Dark narrow hallways and empty corridors are interesting. I warmed up to the atmosphere and ambiance to the old building and enjoyed my stay immensely.

Our first trip to Milwaukee for Summerfest and this location was perfect. Just enough outside the hustle and bustle but we still walked everywhere including to Summerfest so no need to drive or Lyft. Delicious food at the bar/restaurant on site.

A little old fashioned decor wise in the rooms but we actually slept great and will return.

The location was excellent, could bicycle to Brady st, the lake, venues near the lake and across the rivers. The hotel was historic yet some newer renovations as well. Gave you daily weather report for the day and days ahead along with breakfast and time they're open in the elevators. We had a huge closet in the room where atleast 3 bicycles could fit in. Some dishes in our room. Liked how here was a brief info of its history at the mailboxes. The price I thought was excellent for the location, yet did book the room though booking.com.

The lotion in the bathroom wasn't filled. We didnt put the privacy sign outside the door and didnt like the idea of housekeeping cleaning, yet that could have been due to not putting out the sign. The room was a bit stuffy when we didnt keep the window open during the day. It is an older hotel, so that makes sense.

The location was great. Check in was easy and staff were very friendly. There were good free parking options on the street outside the apartment block.

The price felt expensive but that may be due to the time of year and the stage in which we booked.

Great neighborhood with classic architecture, short walk to the lakefront and a shorter walk to a sports bar and excellent Irish restaurant. Room had more amenities than we needed and it was clean. Price made it just right.

This hotel still has the charm of the 1920s. The Junior Suite is very spacious and in many ways feels like it has been exactly the same for 100 years: large bedroom, fully equipped kitchen with dining area, small office and equally small bathroom. Lights could be dimmed and despite the old charm, the wifi worked fine. TV probably too, I didn't use it.

Room service only on request. Parking is relatively expensive and good breakfast options are scarce nearby. Raindrops on the air conditioner make a hell of a noise.

Unique rooms, kitchenette in our room was so convenient, location was great

I appreciated that there was a parking lot but the $250 deposit was a shock. It really needs to be told before check in that the deposit is that much.
