The lady at the bar when I arrived was very friendly and welcoming. She showed me up to my room and even showed me the room amenities which was a lovely touch. In the morning I misread the checkout time. I was preparing for an interview. So I rang the number on the contact sheet spoke to a lovely lady who immediately checked with the housekeeper and rang me straight back to let me know I could stay till 11 and then she wished me good luck. The shops are next door and it was easy to find from the main road. The area is lovely and I would definitely stay again.

I think having breakfast provision (even a deal with a cafe nearby) would just top that stay a little more.

A great, traditional pub with comfortable rooms at an affordable price located on a very quaint village square of a very pretty village. All the local main chain hotels charge upwards of £100 and deliver very mediocre experiences. You would be mistaken to think that just because the price is low then perhaps it doesn't offer sufficient quality compared to higher priced alternatives. The Bugle prices are significantly lower and deliver great value for money, and it is in a great little pub! Pleanty of coffee/tea/orange juice/snacks in the room. Very lovely towels. Very nice and friendly staff. Great wifi.

The staff were very friendly especially Wayne !! Made us feel very welcome straight away. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. It is a very old building and floors sloped a little in places . Slept well as the bed was very comfortable. Plenty free parking. Had our dinner there too which was very tasty.

The night we stayed there was a singer in the bar which definitely was not to our taste. Its an old building and unfortunately the sound travelled . I ended up using some ear plugs and then slept well.

We were looking for a stop over after disembarking the Caen ferry and this suited us perfectly. Two of us travelling on motorbikes, good parking for the bikes off the main street. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We were just looking for somewhere to get our heads down before a 6am start the next day and this was no problem. I really liked the attention to detail in my room, you get the impression the owners really want to make your stay as comfortable as possible and they achieved that.

Located in the pretty village of Titchfield. Easy to find with parking at the rear. My room had recently been refurbished, I believe many others were similar. It was clean. tidy and perfect for my stay of two nights. Tea and coffee was available in the room which was topped up during my stay. Breakfast was good with a mix of cold/hot available. Because of the bar, it was nice to be able to have a few sherberts before retiring to my room to sleep them off. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Some building work going on outside. This wasn't at all intrusive but needs to be done to restore the old car park wall. I'm sure once this is complete, the car park will look a bit tidier. It wasn't a problem, just an observation.

New owners so still getting some things set up as they want to, eg, restaurant not fully up and running but we're very happy for us to eat our Chinese takeaway in the restaurant area. We were travelling with out kitten to a cat show in the area and they were very accommodating, even allowing our kitten to accompany us (in his carrier) in the restaurant. We had to leave promptly in the morning for the show, and they were extra quick with our order at breakfast. It was their weekly music night, music was excellent, though a bit too loud for me! Actual pub itself was tastefully decorated, easy to find, good free car park.

The bed was a bit hard for me, but not every hotel can have the perfect bed for everyone, however my husband was complained that his side was also lumpy and uneven.

Hi i recently stayed at the bugle Hotel it was a really nice hotel, the staff were amazing and very friendly nothing was too much trouble.,the cooked breakfast was really good value for money the plate was full and i couldn't fault the food, I had a good chat with the local people in the pub they were so friendly and being on my own they made me feel very welcome, on my last night there was entertainment in the bar and we all had a good sing song the atmosphere was brilliant, i would definitely stay here again. A big thanks to all the staff.

The room was small but big enough for a single person, at least for me. It did include toilet and shower.

The only thing I didn't like was that the shower tap was defective. I couldn't adjust the water temperature, it was either very hot or just cold. Hopefully they will fix it.

We stayed at the Bugle some 2 years ago, vowed to never return. Then we picked up it had changed ownership, its ideally located for us, so we booked for one night. What a change, clean, friendly, comfortable, off road parking, great breakfast. We shall be returning on a regular basis.

The Bugle is a great historic pub, and the new management has made a great difference in the short time they have been there. Unfortunately car parking has been reduced due to construction work at the side of the Bugle.

Good location, with lovely village surrounding you Clean room and towels, comfy beds - we had a lovely stay.

The only issue we had was the communication between booking.com and the hotel. This WAS NOT the hotels fault though , this is booking.com But the staff quickly sorted it all out and all was fine.
