The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the main station and easy to find. The room is spacious, with a splendid bathroom. What I appreciated most was the conveniently located light switch right next to the bed, along with several standing reading lamps—perfect for some bedtime reading. There's also an ice cube maker on the 6th floor, which is a nice touch during the hot summer. Wi-Fi signal is strong and reliable.

There are no coin-operated washing machines in the hotel, which is quite inconvenient—especially in summer when the whole family ends up with lots of sweaty clothes. The nearest laundry shops are several miles away.

Excellent location, away from the busy nightlife areas but very accessible and so convenient/close to Hakata station. Also convenient for taxi pickup/dropoff, and there’s a Fuglen cafe just minutes away on foot. We arrived early in the day and were able to leave our bags at reception for checkin later, which was very helpful. The lobby is as beautiful as expected, and the room was really lovely — the decor is gorgeous, and everything was so comfortable and spacious (great shower and comfortable pillows, especially).

Beautiful hotel. The breakfast was outstanding with a large selection meats, fish and vegetable dishes. It was fun to try all the options. Room was very comfortable and well appointed. The location is a convenient walk to the subway and train. A few blocks away along the canal is a nice park with a surfaced running track. We booked a room with lounge access which was much appreciated after a long day of sightseeing we decompressed there before heading up to our room. The unique design of the interior with the multifloor display of books made the hotel a special stay.

It would have been nice to have more storage or luggage racks for two suitcases.

• Receptionist: Good attitude, though a warmer smile and more approachable demeanor would enhance the experience. • Amenities: Small packets of makeup remover and face wash are available at the front desk, which is a nice touch. However, the placement of the basket directly in front of the staff made it slightly awkward, as it could give the impression you’re seeking assistance when you’re just grabbing amenities. • Room Cleaning: Daily cleaning was thorough and kept the space clean and comfortable. The bath tub was spotless, with no stains on the edges, which was impressive.

• Bath Towel: Too small to wrap around the body comfortably, which can be inconvenient. • Coin Laundry: It would be a great addition for convenience, especially for longer stays.

The location was great. It was close to Hakata Station (a 5-8 min walk, I think) and it was like a 5-minute taxi ride from Fukuoka International Airport. There is a Family Mart next to it, and was very near ramen places and drugstores. The staff there speaks English enough for us to understand each other. They were also thoughtful enough to give each of my kids a kit that contains bedroom slippers, a duck sponge, and toothbrush. So cute! Too bad we weren't able to experience their breakfast buffet due to our hectic schedule.

I wish there were rooms with 2 queen beds especially for families with little kids.

Location is nice - 5-10min walk from Hakata station. I realised next time I may prefer a hotel in the Tenjin area as I spent most of my time there eating and shopping. Need to keep an eye on last train times - my partner and I ended up needing to didi 10min (vs 30min walk) due to a late supper. Room is very spacious for Japanese standards, however feels abit plain, nothing extraordinary. One thing I noted is that you need to turn the switch on for the whole room in order to turn on the bathroom light - this meant waking my partner up early morning with bright lights when I needed to use the bathroom.

We stayed a second time at this hotel at the end of our trip. The 2nd stay was equally good and no major complaints or issues. We made better use of the lounge this time and the kids enjoyed using the tokens to help get us glasses of wine. We also tried more of the breakfast options around which was nice. Also, if you are traveling with a bigger group and require a large taxi/van, we recommend asking the hotel for help booking a few weeks in advance of the date you need it. Otherwise, just use the GOTaxi app to book a few taxis when you need them. The taxi will arrive within a few mins.

There wasn't really anything wrong with the hotel, service or stay. The only things that we might recommend are: we thought the rooms would be nicer without the carpets under the beds. And, it still felt that the hotel was a bit understaffed.

The location is excellent, a few blocks from Hakata Station, so convenient. The breakfast was wonderful -- except the coffee. The spread of western and Japanese food was yum. All staff were nice and accommodating. We liked the room. It was spacious and comfortable. The books were also a nice touch. The selection was interesting.

The "gym" was inadequate. That's why it looks like no one uses it. It's a space to workout, I suppose, and it made a difference in our selection. So we were disappointed. Maybe it's not a selling point in Japan.

Location opposite a small park and a short stroll to the main train station, impressive building (and reception area space especially), excellent bathroom (very spacious) although the shower controls were complicated. Shower pressure very strong.

Bedside tables would have been nice as the storage ledge above the bed was a little high. The bed reading light shone directly down onto the middle of the bed, not where it was needed. No hooks/ hangers in the bathroom. More instruction lists in English?

Great place to stay for traveling, walking distance to Hakata station.

Too popular, hard to make booking during peak season. The staff on the front desk could be more proactive in helping the customers. We tried to leave our big luggage after one night stay in the hotel, but we will change to another hotel on the day after. The staff just told us that they can’t keep our luggage overnight since we don’t have bookings after today. We could understand that, however, the staff should know that we will be continue stay in Fukuoka, should let us know or offering luggage forwarding service. We are completely ok to pay a fee for that. We ended up traveling with two huge pieces of luggage to Yufuin today and we are returning to hakata tomorrow.
