This was by far the best La Quinta facility of the many I've stayed in. Building is newly renovated, fresh and clean. There was amble parking and the Staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were updated with plenty of USB charging stations and adapters for phones and devices. Beds were comfortable, the restroom clean and modern, and the breakfast area probably one of the best I've seen for this level of hotel. Price point was higher than other La Quinta's I've stayed in but being in San Luis Obispo it's understandable - their pricing was competitive for the area. I would stay again without hesitation.

The only qualm I had was parking. You need to read the fine print to realize they charge $15/day. I missed it when booking so, needless to say, I was surprised upon billing receipt. READ FINE PRINT BEFORE BOOKING.

Breakfast was very good with all kinds of options and an attentive staff to help make pancakes and anything we needed The staff in general was very obliging giving us late checkout as our Amtrak did not leave till 3pm

Our main problem was not with the hotel BUT with the BOOKING!! We are 3 old friends (seniors) When I booked through booking.com I booked a room with 3 beds, but when we checked in we were offered a room with one king bed which was not acceptable The hotel changed it to a room with 2 queens which was acceptable but not as perfect I had hoped for when I booked

The facilities, amenities, room, buffet breakfast were great. The staff was great and really helpful, Our room was a great suite conveniently located right above the breakfast room.

A couple of the front desk staff did not seem really friendly, although they were really helpful and efficient. We could not however look out our window or use the patio because the front of the building was under construction. Our windows were covered in plastic tarp. I did not receive any notification of this. I did ask for and was granted no $15 parking fee for our three day stay.

The breakfast staff were so helpful and extremely accommodating. The front desk was great as well. Our room was amazing, the floor to ceiling windows were a nice touch. Pool and hot tub were a hit with our family!

I would change the time when you can hear the elevator bell in the morning, anytime after 8am would be ideal. We were in a suit so right next to the elevators and I heard it very early maybe 6am so it made it hard to go back to sleep. Otherwise we loved all the amenities at the hotel.

It was the usual fare, so all I can say that it was good, and the area was VERY nice and clean! Also, Anouar, one of the associates at the front desk was helpful and polite. The fact that he spoke Spanish really helped me out quite a bit, too. There was a terrible, grinding noise coming from outside somewhere very close to the hotel around 5:30-6:00 pm, when nearly everybody starts to relax after a big day or a lot of driving. I went outside to see what it was when Anouar was also out there in the open part of the parking garage. Someone was TRYING to saw a palm tree down with I guess a horribly loud chainsaw. When the man paused I yelled “Hey!!” He stopped and then Anouar took over speaking Spanish to the man, I thanked him Anouar profusely for that! He remained calm throughout the whole time.

Hated the loud, very disturbing noise chainsawing next door. These kind of LOUD noises really can set off strong emotions in me…such as ANGER.

Cleanliness of the facility. All around, I'm happy with this hotel. It's a bit pricey for one night, but it's worth it rather than paying for a less expensive hotel and having it be crummy. I recommend staying here. Although you have to pay $15 a night for parking, I will return. The location is great. The drive to Cambria or Hearst Castle is not far at all.

I don't understand why you have to pay to park your car at La Quinta hotels. I mean, you're already paying to stay at the hotel. Why charge for parking?

We liked everything, found it to be very comfortable, beds were amazing pillows were awesome. The breakfast was convenient.

Only two areas for improvement. The bathrooms have no countertop, as women who put makeup on, blow dry their hair and have many hair tools. It is very inconvenient. I suggest put in a mirror over the desk in the room versus a picture this way women could set up, their make up station over there. The breakfast is decent. However, scrambled eggs are simple to make delicious, these are very dry and overcooked both days we were there.

Location was great, just 20 minutes walk Into town, making it far enough away from any noise, but also real accessible from the 101. Easy to get to. Rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable! Breakfast was also very good. Also accidentally left behind a leather jacket which was irreplaceable. After having returned to the hotel the very next day to try and recover it, the staff after some searching, were able to locate it for us. The head housekeeper was super helpful as was the blond haired lady at the front desk. I can't thank them enough.

When we called about the jacket we had left behind, it was nowhere to be found. I was told on the telephone that new guests were in our room and that the jacket was not there, and not found by housekeeping. so it was a little frustrating that it felt as if I needed to attend the hotel in person to be taken seriously. I was then informed by the head housekeeper (who was actually extremely helpful) that there had been no new guests in the room since our stay the day before. It made me feel a little fobbed off by the front desk. On the telephone.

Front desk staff very welcoming. We arrived earlier than check-in. They took our bags and recommended some nice places to go for lunch and called me when the room was ready - nice, personal touch. The free breakfast was very good, lots of options, nice coffee and plenty of fresh fruit. The hotel is super clean and conveniently located walking distance to downtown and CalPoly. It's the second time we stayed here. Pricey for a LaQuinta but everything in San Luis Obispo is, so it's just the area. I would stay here again.

Hot tub was out of order, too bad because I've stayed here before and it's a nice rooftop hot tub next to the little pool - very relaxing wiht mountain views and gorgeous sunsets.

I recently stayed at La Quinta and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the city and access all the main attractions. The hotel itself is impeccably clean, and the rooms are well-maintained and comfortable. The staff at la Quinta were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed and made me feel very welcome. Their professionalism and warm hospitality truly enhanced my experience.
