The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the train station, bus station, tram stops, and a shopping centre (Les Rives de l'Orne). I had a view of the city from my room which I really appreciated. The bed and facilities are comfortable.

Be aware that there are no stairs in this hotel, so be prepared to carry your luggage up at least one flight of stairs. Staff were helpful but not always present. The entrance to the hotel is also near a Tabac and thus often very busy and can be intimidating for solo travelers. The Internet was slow at times.

Was a great choice to be close to the train for those early train mornings. We used it as a jumping off point to go to Mont-Saint-Michel, rent a car (lots to chose from in the same square) and drive to the Normandy beaches and then train to Paris. It’s definitely in a great spot. Another positive is that you can use the train tunnel and walk to the other side of the train tracks where there is a bit of a mall and has a few good restaurants. We really enjoyed lunch at La Taverne.

Was hard to figure out how to get in to the hotel to check in and then hard to figure out how to correctly use the hotel key to get back in after hours. If the website could take that one extra step to tell you how to do those two things when booking would make a much better first impression. Other than that it’s a busy area with lots of people hanging around the front door, hence why they probably keep it locked a good portion of the time.

Very convenient for the train station. I arrived early (about 10am) and asked if I could leave my bag and they let me check in early as the room was ready which was great.

There are a couple of kebab shops up the street which attract groups of young men hanging about. Didn’t bother me and no worse than around many railway stations but solo female travellers may find it uncomfortable.

Location is excellent, busses & railway station across the road. Plenty of places of interest within walking distance (1/2 hr to 40 mins).

No air con, had to keep the window wide open as the room was very warm. There was a lot of noise with groups of men outside talking and laughing into the early hours of the morning.

Great hotel, in a perfect location to see Caen. Rooms were small but clean, very comfortable, and the shower was very nice. Breakfast very good for the price. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

Windows difficult to open to let air in (it was exceptionally hot though)

As we had a 6am train to Pontorson the next day, Hotel Mary's was just next to the station, which was ideal, although it curiously took us a little time to orientate ourselves to find it in the first place. We were allowed to place our bags in the dining room first, which they kindly brought up to our room later.

There were some vagrants near the station, and they were a little noisy at night, but we were snug in the hotel, so it didn't matter. The signage to recognize the hotel could be a little larger.

The wonderfully convenient location. The polite staff. The cleanliness of the room. The comfortable bed.

The tv wasn’t very loud, I had to sit right near it to be able hear it properly.

The best option for a hotel next to the station. The area around the station is not very nice, but that is not the hotel's fault. Very kind staff and clean, quiet and comfortable room.

The bathroom exceeded expectations as it actually had a small shelf for soap etc, where so many other hotels we've stayed at did not. Loved the Light around the mirror.

No elevator, but we were helped bringing our luggage up to our room. Breakfast was just okay. Rooms were very small.

The location is excellent. They did not have a queen size bed, but only single beds placed together. We arrived early and had to wait over an hour for someone to open the door. However they did allow us to check in earlier.
