Awesome staff and location! I picked this hotel based on the location because I love traveling by train/subway in Taiwan and it's a 2 minute walk to the hotel from the station. The breakfast was great with mostly local Taiwan dishes and a decent selection of coffee, milk and tea. It was also my 40th birthday during my stay here and the hotel staff presented me with delicious cream puff as well as jello for breakfast and out of nowhere in the afternoon with cheesecake along with Happy Birthday written in matcha....shout out to the staff for making my bday a memorable one! This will be my go to hotel when I return to Taichung!

The rooms were a bit small which took time to get used to but overall a great place to stay!

Professional staff who speak good English. Can leave luggage in store if arriving early. Very modern and clean with safe, phone, air con, air filter and electronic key. Next door to TRA station and only an 11 minute ride to HSR station (from TRA on 'local' train type using Easy Card). Also close to eateries and shopping. Very good value room rate.

There was nothing I really disliked. I'm not sure if I was supposed to have a view, but my window (room 203) had metal sheeting right outside which may be permanent (no view) or temporary due to construction next door? One minor note is the room had nowhere to place luggage other than the floor and limited cloth storage.

We loved our stay here. The room was clean, quiet and ample space for us with one suitcase. It would be tight if we had more luggage. The shower was wonderful, and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed a different but similar range of breakfast options each day, either mostly Asian style food but toast and cereal Western options. The location is very well positioned to walk to things as well as being close to the station. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The location is good, located just behind the Taichung train station. One has to walk past a motorcycle rental shop on his way to the hotel but it is a minor inconvenience. There is a family mart around the corner. Check-in and check-out procedures are fuss free. Staff are friendly. The room I stayed in has a view to the street. It was not a busy street so the noise level was minimal. The breakfast selection is ok, the porridge, fresh salad and bread are the same throughout my stay. The fruit selection and cooked food (noodles/fried rice/scrambled eggs) vary every day. Breakfast hours are from 7-10am. We took the breakfast on our last day and caught the train at 9am.

Location was excellent, probably less than 100m from the Taichung train station. Though a little old, the hotel facilities and rooms were kept very clean and updated. Staff members were very professional, friendly and helpful. Breakfast, though limited in number of dishes, was tasty with loads of vegetables and fruit. Highly recommend for its high CP value. 24hrs free coffee and tea at their cosy rest lobby was very much appreciated too.

Our purpose was to stay near train station and this was the right choice. It was only few minutes walk from train station, staffs were helpful, room were clean but too cramped for 3 person (one full size bed next to one twin size), buffet BF was simple Asian style with few choices of western foods. The room has thin wall and we often heard the next room activities clearly. We stayed for 3 nights just for the convenience location to train, to bus station to SunMoon Lake and to Lukang, so our expectations were met to stay here.

Room too cramped for 3 persons, not enough space to put luggages. Room has thin wall and not enough hooks to hang towels in the bathroom.

My recent stay at CityInn Hotel Plus was delightful. The staff were friendly and helpful. I found the room to be small but incredibly functional. Despite its size, every aspect of the room was thoughtfully designed to maximize space and comfort. One thing I particularly enjoyed was the simple yet delicious simple taiwanese breakfast offered by the hotel. It was a great way to start the day. The hotel's location was convenient, making it easy for me to explore the city and visit nearby attractions.

Location was optimal, steps away from central train station. The staff customer service was exceptional and breakfast really great, even if not having a massive food selection, it did indeed do the trick. The lobby area with a complimentary hot beverages' machine was great and overall looked very modern.

Carpets made the place looks older, and not very modern. Seems like carpets in both hallways and rooms had an unpleasant smell (mould? simply old?), which is really a shame, as the ground lobby floor looked and felt great and modern (no carpets). Also, mind you, rooms are rather small and 2 people with luggage make it somewhat tight to manouvre. In terms of value, it was rather on the pricey side

Conveniently located right behind Taichung Main Railway Station with Toroko Mall just up the road and plenty of eating places nearby. Hotel provides a hearty breakfast with plenty of variety. Free cold and hot beverages and water filling stations in the common area downstairs and free to use washing machines and dryers for guests. Themed rooms were nicely decorated. Our room was a Triple Room which had a study nook, refrigerator and kettle. Complimentary snacks, bottled water and tea/ coffee in the room too. Attention to details such as providing natural mosquito repellant spray for guests to use at the reception. The hotel held a mid-Autumn Festival BBQ and games with prizes during our stay for no extra cost. Staff are very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Everything! Friendly and helpful staff. Location was close to the train station - we took a high speed train from Taipei and then a normal train from the high speed rail station to the one by the hotel. Walkable to Calligraphy Walk, temples, night markets, and many restaurants. It was easy to catch an Uber to other parts of the city. Room was clean and comfortable, free breakfast was great, the lobby and free laundry were wonderful. Staff can help book day tours too.
