From the warm welcome we got from Cheryl ,who we later found out was the owner, who provided us with a small bottle of fresh milk, the little touches and information provided made our stay at the Colonial superb. The facilities are great ,good size rooms with comfortable beds, lovely power shower, hob and microwave facilities should you need them,on site laundrette at reasonable price. Cheryl provides a local map with the local mall just across the road with several good eating and drinking choices.

Nice to be welcomed, Friendly and helpful staff. Great room with good facilities. Clean room, well maintained, microwave, cooktop and great parking too.

I don't usually read all the information when booking accommodation. Perhaps if pets are not all on the property that should be further to the top rather than right at the bottom of all the other information. I go for location and price.

The manager was friendly and gave us ideas of what/where places of interest were close by. Showed us where/how things worked. It is situated well within walking distance of shops and restaurants.

For me personally, the bed was too hard and I found it hard to sleep but my husband was ok 😔

Such a nice stay! So clean and as a cleaner myself it’s the one thing I notice when I go away is how clean things are and I was really blown away at how spotless everything was! Such a nice room my son and I were in. Warm and cozy.

Not really an issue but having to get water etc from the bathroom is kinda weird but I doesn’t put me off.

Motel close to shopping area and easy access to main road. The reception check in was great and after a late check-in was obligating and pug heater on in room after we advised on the way

No sink had to wash dishes in a plastic basin. But otherwise was manageable to undertake the task.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. We've lately been staying places where check-in/check-out are done via messages and door codes, and it was so lovely to speak with local people who could greet you, help you find activities, and recommend places to eat. So refreshing.

The location was amazing! Right across the road from the shops, supermarket, restaurants cafes etc. the lovely lady on check in was very friendly and very helpful, showed us to our room which was a lovely touch! Our room was upstairs and overlooked the lovely garden area which had a BBQ and table and chairs. The room had sky with all of the Channels. The bathroom was nice and spacious and great water pressure. The rooms are soundproof and quiet! We used the guest laundry which was very reasonable at $2 per load, $2 for the dryer and $1 for detergent, but there is the option of hanging your clothes on the communal clothes line. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely stay again if I’m ever in Cromwell.

Friendly staff, well appointed room and a comfy bed. General location is good, within 90 seconds walk to the centre of Cromwell and restaurants etc. Rooms are a good size. Bathroom is good.

Generally speaking no issues at all. It is a normal motel that would be perfect for overnight stays in Cromwell. It has a nice BBQ area but the outdoor areas for the rooms is functional rather than inviting. This is not something I would look for when travelling for work but this was a holiday.

We visited mid-winter and had an upstairs room. Great spacoius warm and cosy room, modern stylish bathroom, comfy bed, fresh milk provided and stunning views. Parking was outside the studio, very convenient to the shopping centre.

Couldn’t find any wrong!

Great location for the township of Cromwell and also for using as a base to visit Queenstown, Wanaka and Alexandra. Good size unit with comfy bed and good bathroom. Very knowledgeable, friendly and hardworking host.
