Excellent location, close to shopping and restaurants. The streets and sidewalks are clean and we felt completely safe walking at night. Bonus: this hotel is a 15-20 minute walk to the Summerfest concert venue. We saw a concert there and didn’t have to worry about parking or trying to get an Uber/Lyft. Super Bonus: We went for the weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday and there was a delicious piece of decadent chocolate cake , a bottle of champagne, and a card for him when we arrived in our room.

I've stayed at this Kimptom several times because I absolutely love it. The JOURNEYMAN is one of my favorite hotels and I always look forward to staying there when I am in MKE. I want to shout out the staff on check-in, as my travel partner unexpectedly to cancel plans the day of check-in due to a family situation, which meant uncoupling the 2 rooms that were being held on the reservation. The staff could not have been more helpful, gracious, and accommodating. The rest of the stay was great, as per usual.

Everyone we were in contact with was exceptional and friendly. Our room was lovely and very clean, and included a mini fridge and comfortable seating. Lovely, spatious bathroom. Eco friendly...they had a bin in the room for recycling. The rooftop bar area was beautiful, with excellent service and drinks. We were given a special surprise for our anniversary. Location was perfect...close to all the restaurants of the Third Ward, close proximity to the highway and we easily walked down to the lakefront.

I wish they offered some pillows that were softer.

Beautiful hotel in a great location In Milwaukee with lots of places within walkable distance. Staff was kind enough to check us in early which we were very appreciative of after a long morning of flying. We also appreciated the free drink hour offered by the hotel.

Food and drinks were overpriced. $9 for a bottle of kombucha and $7 for a bottle of water seems a bit extreme.

The right closet door did not open, it was stuck so we were unable to access the safe. We reported the issue however no repair was made, but we were only at the hotel 1 night.

Location was perfect. Downstairs coffee/cafe was convenient and tasty. Sitting/relaxation areas were luxurious and pleasant. Restaurant and rooftop bar were fun and served quality product.

Bathroom wasn’t very clean. Bathroom lighting absolutely dreadful for applying makeup.

Great accommodations. Centrally located. Staff was very friendly and helpful with anything I needed. Highly recommend.

Water pressure in the shower. Sectioned main mirror in the room was inconvenient. Two very small things I didn’t like. I requested a higher floor. Did not get it.

The rooftop bar was beautiful and cozy. The beds were very clean and comfortable. Clean bathroom. Great location.

Rooftop bar staff was kind of rude. Just not very friendly. Super overpriced for a 1 night stay, I thought. Could stay at an equally nice and clean hotel for half the price.

No coffee maker in room, asked for hot water and a cup for tea and room service brought me a plug in hot water kettle without water or a cup.

Location was very convenient and happy hour was a bonus

There was no coffee maker in room and when we called down about it we were told we had to arrange for it ahead of time. I asked at desk and were told one would be delivered - it was, but discovered in morning that it only had tea and hot chocolate pods.
