Hotel was conveniently located, close to restaurants, shops, & attractions. It offered free underground parking across from the hotel & you are allowed to park temporarily in front of the hotel to unload your luggage & check in before parking in the carpark. It offers a very good complimentary buffet breakfast spread. The breakfast area becomes a drinks counter in the evening. There’s also a comfortable lounge next to it. The best feature is the open air terrace one floor above the lounge with ample seating. The terrace gives a panoramic view of the city. Service by the hotel staff was personal, warm & excellent. Pedro (I think that’s his name) offered me an umbrella when he noticed I was going out in the drizzle without one. Rita was very generous in sharing information, history & stories on the various attractions & of the country. Although the room is small every attention was paid to small details such as embroidered pillow cases, good breakfast selection & making the lounge area comfortable & homely.

Space is tight in the room & bathroom. The bathroom needs a little update. The shower door couldn’t keep the water from splashing out onto the bathroom floor, making the floor rather wet.

The room was small but the bed was big and comfy. The hotel is also close to the bus and train station and also very close to the city centre. The staff were so friendly and helpful and outlined exactly what to do and where to go. The rooftop had a great view of the city at night.

Not keen on the parking arrangment at an underground place across the road. OK for small cars but a bit of a tight squeeze for bigger cars. However the attendant was happy to park for you and even return your vehicle back to the parking bays in front of the hotel. Also we took the offer of an upgrade but to be honest it wasn't really worth the extra as the room was still very cramped, only bonus was the small balcony. The bathroon had no bidet. The roof top bar was crowded with joungsters and we got the fealing they were not residents so no room for us to enjoy.

We were absolutely enchanted in this one-night stay at Coimbra staying at Hotel Oslo. We were able to park right in front of the entrance, check-in and then leave the car the parking across the street (included in our booking). We paid a little extra for an upgrade, that was absolutely worth it, too. The room (2-bedroom suite) was very comfortable, clean and quiet. We also enjoyed the breakfast on the 5th floor as well as the terrace on the 6th floor with amazing night views to the city and the University up the hill. The staff was very friendly, helpful and kind to us. In summary, absolutely recommendable.

The hotel location is the best in Coimbra - just cross the road and you are in the old city. The hotel have arangment with near by parking, free for the gusts, and we left our car even after checking out the hotel. The triple room is nice and functional with a great water flow in the bathroom and very comfortable beds. Bonus - a lovely seating area on the roof of the hotel overlooking old Coimbra. We sat in the evening with a glass of Campari and a blanket on our laps and enjoyed every moment. We arrived at this old-fashioned hotel without any expectations, and left very satisfied with our choice.

Location of hotel was excellent,it was central to the restaurants and free bus to train station. The rooms were comfortable with a nice bathroom and shower. The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels. The rooftop bar was excellent where you could chill after a busy day sight seeing. The staff were very helpful and cheerful.

It wasn't a major dislike but a couple brolleys on the rooftop garden would've been nice for when you wanted a chill in the day and to keep the baking sun off you.

The room was on the front but noise was not a problem. We had a wonderful view of the town from the room. Breakfast was in a lovely location higher in the block, again with fantastic view. Parking was not on-site but just across the road in a Parking house. It was included in the price and was secure. The staff went out of their way to help.

Our previous property that we had booked cancelled on us last minute. This hotel was recommended by a friend, and we were so pleased. Staff were wonderful, the view from our room was spectacular, room is cosy, but we had the extra space of a balcony. Also the bar and rooftop terrace were fabulous, the views at night were amazing! See the attached photos A huge and delicious buffet breakfast was also included. The location was central and perfect for exploring Coimbra. I think the previous property did us a favour.

It was a little small, as we normally do apartments, but it was fine for one night. A little street noise as no double glazing, but nothing that ear plugs couldn’t fix

The room was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good. We were surprised that the hotel is on a VERY busy street - however, once we got settled and went out and explored we realized that we were half a block from the old town and pedestrian areas. So it was in a very good location. We were just a few minutes walk from the main square where we met for our walking tour. Lots of restaurants nearby as well. The rooftop bar was lovely with great views. The staff were super helpful. And the parking was very convenient.

Room was VERY small - but useable! If you arrive by car, you can park right in front but there is tons of traffic so it was a bit stressful. You unload your car and then go park a block away in an underground garage which was great as long as you have a little car. I wouldn't want to try that garage in a big car! Fine for our Fiat 500.

We loved our two day stay at this hotel with its incredible view of Coimbra. The highlight was definitely the rooftop bar where our group of four sat outside both nights around sunset to watch the colors of the sky with a refreshing sangria. It was easy to access via car, with parking at a garage nearby, and walking distance to good restaurants. The staff was helpful in recommending a place for us to go for lunch. We also had a good view from our room, a comfortable bed, a working safe, and a tea kettle, so we had everything we needed.
