As I turned into the hotel complex, I could see the garden areas were well maintained and looked delightful. The 'welcome' at Reception was warm and informative. The room was extremely clean and tidy and had everything I required for an overnight stay, including tea, coffee and milk. There were plenty of parking spaces and even when I returned at 9:30pm, it was still easy to park not far from my room. It really is a well laid out complex and as elderly, single woman, I felt really safe. I had a great night’s sleep. Because of the motel type layout, there were no banging doors or people talking loudly in corridors, just a nice quite night. The bed was supportive but at the same time soft but not too soft, the pillows were slim and softish and very comfortable. At breakfast the next morning, the waitress explained what was on offer and took my order, then I relaxed with a great cup of tea while it was cooked. I didn't want a full 'English' so chose poached eggs on toast and bacon. The poached eggs were spot on, nicely rounded and exactly soft enough in the middle. They came with nice lean bacon that was fried. There was plenty of brown or white bread on offer, along with croissants, muffins and other delights. Oh joy! There were multiple real toasters available to toast the bread, far better than the conveyer type ones that are often used in other hotels. I have stayed in other hotels but this is the one I will be coming back to in Basildon, as I really enjoyed my stay.

Easy to get too. Convenient parking for my lwb van. Grounds tidy. Rooms lovely and clean bit continental lay out with battle scars. Good TV channels. Bathroom and bedroom good size. Staff nice and pleasant good breakfast choice off full English or yogurt fruit cereals toast cheese and jams plus honey and much more. Decent evening meals plus good bar for drinks plenty off drinks machines for soft drinks payable. Just round corner is asda and mc Donald's plus more big shops as industrial park room cleaned daily
Extraction fan in bathroom runs constant all day and all night annoyingly. Curtains slightly short so lights from outside shine in room from car park Key card a bit annoying

Comfortable bed and pillows. Had all we needed. Staff very thoughtful and gave us a room away from the bar area. Once traffic died down it was very quiet. We both slept v well.
The divan was in two pieces which were not in line so I kept stubbing my toe on the part sticking out. Since there are no windows in the bathroom might it be a good idea to have an extractor fan to take out the steam so the room doesn't suffer from damp in future?

It was comfortable, clean and warm. The reception staff was more than helpful.
The furniture had seen better days. For the price I expected newer furnishings. There were not enough plug sockets, 3 singles to the room, One for the Kettle, one for the TV and a spare, which was under the desk and awkward to get to for a disabled person. There was no shower mat even though there was a sign telling you to use the mat supplied.

make no mistake this is a budget hotel, set out like a motel. but saying that the room is basic but exceptionally clean you have a hot shower tv tea making facilities and a lovely breakfast in the onsite facility, it has a bar and exceptional staff. It is just off the A127 three minutes to basildon by car, bus routes & a retail park just across the road. Our stay was uneventful & quiet. we will continue to use this hotel when we are in the area again

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. They settled any problems instantly without any fuss. This is a good budget hotel. Somewhere to sleep in a clean bed.
Rooms need a bit of TLC. Rooms also needed mirrors near a plug point so that ladies can dry their hair. Little more care with housekeeping as I found a sock underneath desk from last guests. But, I have no real problems with this hotel.

The whole experience from booking in to checking out, so nice to be recognised at reception by Tracey the manager following another stay here just before Christmas... Another nice touch was entering a lovely nice warm welcoming room as the weather was very bitter outside and through tiredness travelling from Manchester...bedding,bathroom and the room were scrupulously clean as always...
Not a big fan of soap and body wash from pump dispensers although I always have my toiletries packed in my bag,

Room was easily located, the staff were very good in dealing with us and making sure we were ok, breakfast was fine
the one bed in the room was very lumpy, in that the springs could be seen and felt. with regards to breakfast, since neither of us are big eaters we could have been charged differently - eg i had two slices of toast and a cup of tea, whilst my mum had two croisants and a coffee

Looks like a residence more than an hotel, so gives you that feel and independence of a micro-apt. Double door which is good. Probably in the middle of nowhere, so consider if you have a car before booking (I went there for working reason, so this didn't impacted me). Breakfast includes lot of options & vegetal milks, which is not that common in UK. Special mention for the super nice cook.
Electricity sockets are under the desk, so there is no mean to have them close to the bed and use your phone/laptop from there. They ask you for a 100 punds deposit for the stay. It gets totally refunded, but keep this in mind since I didn't see mention of that before the booking.

it was quite good only the room was quite small but it was no problem for us
I made two identical reservations by mistake and the hotel gave me my money back for one without any problems, although they didn't have to, which was very nice because it was my mistake
