The hotel staff is the one of the friendliest people I have ever met. Really pleased with their approach to the guests. We would like to especially thank to Danny on the bar who made us some great cocktails! The room we got is pretty big with a great view on the balcony towards the sea, very very beautiful to spend time there, overall the hotel is on a great spot with superb view towards the sea. The room was cleaned every day. Don't hesitate to ask Anna from the staff if you need something planned as an activity on the island, they will set you up on good price as well :) We had breakfast every day and it was great, you have different options which is a big plus. The restaurant at the hotel which is also on the beach is a great place to eat/drink while enjoying the view of the sea + guests of the hotel have a nice discount for food/drinks. (I recommend the vegetable samosas :)) I would visit again some day! Big thank you!

Unfortunately there was one electricity outage for 10 hours during our stay but it wasn't too impactful. Just be ready for that if it happens and rest assured it will come back. Also you are able to enjoy life without some electricity :) After all you are on a paradise island :)

Everything was amazing. Anna and her team were amazing loved their friendliness & service. The food was absolutely delicious and I especially loved their fresh juices they were to die for. The views from the rooms were stunning. Peaceful & Serene Atmosphere. Super close to all the popular restaurants and beaches as well as The Baraka Aquarium & Zoo.

Check in was smooth and the staff were very accommodating on our late arrival. The room was gorgeous and we simply enjoyed spending a whole day on the balcony taking in the sights! Food was delicious, alcohol was available at the cute restaurant downstairs right on the beach. The tide is out 12-5pm but it’s too hot to swim anyway then as you’ll burn. We loved swimming when the tide was in. Breakfast was simply delicious, try the vegetable chapati! Power cuts do happen and Wi-Fi cuts out but that’s just Zanzibar, not the hotel. I also actually think this is the better end of the beach to stay at as there are more business men down the other end of the beach.

Only improvement would be to accept card payments as the ATM is a 30-40 minute walk away and doesn’t always work.

It could not have been better. Daniel at the bar made us feel like family and so did the very nice lady at the reception. She arranged taxis, gave recommendations and thought about eveything we needed. We also got to meet the owner, who himself seems also such a nice person. They make everything possible for you to spend a beautiful vacation!!

Tansania hat issues with electricity during our stay, but the team managed to work around it. They did everything possible to still serve delicious breakfast and light the room with candles!

The hotel is located in a very nice area, with almost a private beach, if you are looking for a quite place not so many actions are happening, The stuff is amazing starting from the manager Anna and Daniel in the bar / Restaurant. They were super helpful and friendly. The food also was amazing and the price was very reasonable. Around the hotel there are also a lot of other options (walking distances) so you can eat out.

Nothing really!! The bed was a bit not so comfortable, but it is a taste thing as I love more firm Mattresses. There wis a club near by it was a bit noisy in the evening but it is a vacation so we did not sleep early any how.

Room had great view, was spaceous, nicely decorated. Food in hotel was more than amazing- we had dinners there as well as breakfast. We liked our stay there.

Some rooms had line on the balcony for hanging and drying clothes, our did not- this can easely be added. Bed was comfy but for my husband who is tall (190cm) was too short- just heads up for tall people. Service for breakfast was super super slow- they have plenty people working in kitchen/bar and there was not much guests but sometimes it took like 45min to get breakfast- avocado, egg toast- keep that in mind in case you have to be somewhere.

The rooms were exceptionally clean, one of the est showers we had during our 3 weeks in Tanzania and Kenya. Rooms were spacious, had a drying line on the balcony facing the beach. Wonderful outlook out to the beach. Anna and the team were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and super tasty. Not based in central Nungwi which was nice as it was a little quieter and you could easily walk, either via the beach or road, down to central Nungwi

- the one thing to know is that the tide does go out a long way in front of the hotel but a short walk to the west it doesn't so you can always swim there at low tide

Hosts were super friendly right from when we entered, serving welcome drinks and making us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed when they let us have some extras. They also let us stay for few extra hours after check out time as they were closing for refurbishment, which helped us as we got delayed when going towards nungwi beach.

Although it's on beachfront, the seafront at the property is quite rocky/corals (I knew from reviews beforehand). If you go to other resorts, then they have nicer beachfronts. However, you can walk along the sea line and within few minutes and you can enjoy nicer sandy beaches.

Off the coast of Nungwi there is an island called colloquially "Bill Gates Island". Probably not his but it has exclusive accommodation for reportedly 2000$/night but you probably could get the same sea view from the balcony of Crystal Beach hotel for a roughly 1/40th of the indecent 2000$ price. Here you get a 30m2 room with two huge canopy beds, a big bathroom and an equally big balcony with a view to the beach just adjoining the hotel. Excellent service, with Rashidi helping you get whatever service you want. Great breakfast included, with a choice between 4 kinds, with a fruit plate on top.

Nothing to add. Probably at "Bill Gates Island" you would get your own boat but that can be arranged at the hotel for 85-100$/day:)

Our stay at this accommodation was absolutely wonderful! The highlight was definitely the breathtaking sea view, which made every morning special. The restaurant served delicious and affordable food, making it easy to enjoy a great meal without having to go far. However, what truly made our vacation unforgettable was our amazing host, Anna. She went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. From arranging transfers to helping us exchange money, she was always there to assist. When we couldn’t find our driver at the pick-up point, she handled the situation effortlessly. She even kept our luggage safe until check-out, making everything stress-free. Anna’s calm and reassuring nature gave us confidence that everything would be taken care of. Thanks to her, our vacation was smooth and enjoyable. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-organized stay!
