The location was perfect and we were lucky enough to have a breathtaking view from our balcony overlooking the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes where we watched the procession of the lights for the first 2 nights. It was in easy walking distance to everything. The whole Villa has been beautifully restored by Cecile and her husband and our room was restored with authentic period décor and a stunning bathroom with both a bath and large walk-in shower. Cecile, our host is extremely helpful and friendly and provided us with wonderful breakfasts throughout the 3 days we stayed of local and homemade goods with great variety across our stay. She also recommended 3 local restaurants to eat at. We were luck enough to have lunch a Da Marco’s which was amazing with delicious food, beautiful decor and very attentive staff. Highly recommended as the place to stay for a truly special experience.
Was a bit hard to locate with the changing directions of the one way streets. Don't let this put you off as worth it once you are at the Villa.

The owners did a wonderful job restoring this property for us to fully experience our time in Lourdes. Our room overlooked the procession pathway leading to the 3 basilicas, and we happen to be there during the International Military Pilgrimage (pretty awesome to see so many difference countries being represented) - we didn't feel the crowds going back and forth. Our bathroom was very modern (separate walk-in shower, heated towel bar, and tub; 2-person sink) and had the beautiful stained glass windows to keep with the overall style of the home. Continental breakfast was served in the dining room, and we had our individual plates of (a quiche. ham (1 day) or salmon (the 2nd day), and cheese) with additional pastries and bread in a basket to share with others at the table. There is a combo espresso/coffee machine to make your desired caffeinated drink (and had a hot chcolate option). Since our flight left late in the afternoon, Cecile allowed us to store our luggage in her office for us to wander around Lourdes one last time and even called a taxi for us to go to the airport.
With the complete renovation of the bathroom to have a separate shower, tub, and 2-person sink, the toilet was moved to the closet. While it was perfect for isolation, we just had to remember to walk back to the bathroom to wash our hands (completely minor inconvenience for us). While we enjoyed the individual breakfast items already on our plates in the morning, we wished it would have been a buffet-style (like the pastries in the middle of the table), as there were items that we did not eat/try (so we felt like we wasted food).

Cécile is a welcoming host. The balcony in our room had a nice view of the mountains and part of the Sanctuary that is in comfortable walking distance. Breakfast awaits you on a nice old dining room served on a table that creates an atmosphere for good conversation with other guests, The food is more than enaough to get your day started and includes some homemade treats. Our room included a nicely decorated bathroom with an apmle modern shower. We were lucky to find a free parking space just at the door. There is a fridge in the kitchen with free still and sparkling water and beer.
I would add an easier to find power socket at the desk because I had to reach behind the tv to connect the laptop charger. It was not a problem for us, but there is no lift in the house.

We loved the vintage homey charms throughout the villa - The owners were lovely and paid great attention to service details. The view from our room balcony overlooks the Sanctuary. Our stay came with a hearty breakfast. Overall it's like stepping into your grandparents house in the country, knowing you'll be wrapped with love and well taken care off.
Location is close to the church but there's no bridge or direct access to it so you have to climb and go around to go to the church. It's not a dealbreaker at all, just something to keep in mind if you're traveling with elderly or minors who might mind walking farther.

It felt like you were saying in a magical castle in the magical city of Lourdes. The view from the balcony was magical. The beds were so comfortable. I slept wonderful while I was there. The bathrooms were large and had every amenity could imagine. The shower was absolutely fabulous. The owners of the Villa are so helpful with everything you could possibly need. And she is a fabulous cook and you don’t want to miss breakfast because it’s wonderful. And the location could not be beat The price was lower than any of the small cheap hotels that are around. I’m already planning my next trip back and taking friends with me so we can all stay there.
Everything was perfect. There wasn’t one little thing that wasn’t perfect.

The hostess was amazing. She made sure we knew everything we need to, she organized a great breakfast every day. The rooms are large and spacious, with updated bathrooms. The location is fantastic.
Access was challenging, through no fault of the property. The city of Lourdes has a confusing traffic system which does not update well on Google maps. There is no elevator, which may be a challenge for some. Sound carries throughout the property as it is an old converted house. Some may find it disruptive.

Staying here made our first visit to Lourdes extra special. The house is just beautiful, a perfect combination of old style character and modern conveniences (including air conditioning). The location is idyllic – extremely peaceful, restful and quiet overlooking the river, it is tucked away from the hustle and bustle, but within very close walking distance of the sanctuary (via St. Michael’s gate) and all the amenities of Lourdes. Great views of river, mountains, castle and basilica from the balcony off our bedroom, we could even hear and see the infamous torchlight procession which was a highlight. The only other sound we could hear was the flowing river and birds singing. A second balcony in our bathroom overlooked a private garden. Madame Cecile works really hard to look after her guests, a very personal experience. Delicious homemade breakfast with such a variety of produce each morning, complimentary bottled water and beer in a fridge for guests to avail of. The bed and pillows were great quality and super comfortable, and the ensuite bathroom had a large walk-in rain shower and heated towel rail. Our spacious room and bathroom was refreshed by Cecile each day of our stay, which we weren't expecting. On arrival her husband assisted us with luggage up the stairs. It really was a joy to stay here, a trip we will never forget. If you have the opportunity to book here, then do it as you definitely won't regret it.
There was nothing we didn't like. Just to be aware the house is located on a slight incline, and there are steps at the front entrance door and stairs up to the bedrooms, which was fine for us but it might not suit everyone.

Cecile and her husband were wonderful hosts. The room was impeccable and the view from the balcony truly spectacular. The daily breakfast was wonderful, a real treat in that it was composed of delicacies from the locale. Parking was easy and very close to the apartments. Cecile took the time to familiarize us with how to see what we wanted to see, and she even did our laundry for us. Should I, my family, or friends ever travel to Lourdes we will whole heartedly recommend the Villa L'Orante as the best place in Lourdes to stay.
Nothing, the accommodations were flawless and Cecile and her husband wonderful hosts.

We were delighted with every aspect of our two-day stay here. Our room (Gavarnie) was very spacious and comfortable and had a balcony with a great view of the river and the nearby Domaine. Bathroom was large with an excellent shower. Very peaceful location, all that could be heard was the sound of the river flowing which we found to be quite soothing. Our host Cécile was very welcoming and attentive and provided us with breakfasts which were truly spectacular - probably amongst the best we've ever had in France. Free parking just outside the house. A really memorable stay and we hope to come back here one day.
Absolutely nothing!

By far THE BEST hotel I've ever stayed in France! The rooms were absolutely lovely and agréable, everything was super clean and comfortable including the bedding and bathrooms. It is always super hard to satisfy my mom who is picky about things, but she really loved the whole stay and we all want to go back to Lourdes because of this hotel. The owners were very helpful and sweet people, we felt really welcoming during the whole stay, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located in the quiet area of the village by the river, so it is peaceful but also at the same time accessible to most of the spots you would want to visit, especially the sanctuary takes only 10-15 minutes by walk.
