We booked the hotel as we went for a concert. Traveling by car we noticed it had parking and that was the key factor to book. It was spacious parking and parking prices was absolute fair. We read that some reviews said noisy at night from traffic, but that wasn’t a problem as we had dobbel glazing in our room. The staff was very friendly and as a bonus the hotel offered a complimentary sandwich in the morning ( a nice touch) The room and hotel was clean. The fact that extra coffe and milk was available in reception was good. The restaurant on site was also good ( Italian) again fairly priced. Due to the concert we attended the price was probably a bit overpriced, but we were well aware of that. Under normal circumstances i definitely would say it was worthy a visit when in Hull. Town was in walking distance and easy to drive into. Not to forget a nice seating area outside too
Although we can’t fault the hotel we were probably just unlucky that we had some other guests walking around all night on top of us. Now this we can’t blame the hotel

The reception staff were amazing I met three different ones and they were all helpful and friendly. We had a family room although it was small it was clean and fit for purpose. That said the air conditioning was excellent. There was plenty of car parking spaces but using the app to pay for it was quite complicated I would suggest paying at reception for parking. It was near a main road and there were buses every few minutes to the city centre.
We were on the top floor so the slant of the roof impacted on the amount of space available and the windows were in the roof which restricted any views. Paying for the parking by app was not easy and I'm still not sure it worked (PAY AT THE RECEPTION). The post code took us to a road that did not have accesss to the Hotel and we had to drive out of the estate and back around to gain entry. Although walkable to the city centre people with small families or mobility issues would find it difficult.

Good selection of pillows, shower good, reasonably quiet, great location for business travel close to docks. Aircon if you wanted (I didn't, but could see how this would be a benefit as the room was tiny). Room was surprisingly compact! Not good for claustrophobics, luckily I'm not one.... Breakfast was way better than I expected, felt like being home with a hunt for what you fancied (or like you had broken into someone's house and were choosing stuff from the kitchen!)
Bed boney (mattress felt very old), however, comfortable enough, weak toilet flush (limp wristed eco flush only), fresh air (none, treble glazed as close to road) but not felt to be a problem. Useless internet connection (way too slow, used my own 3/5G, even with poor signal it was quicker).

Incredibly comfortable single room which was facing the main road but was not at all noisy. The hotel is opposite a shopping precinct so I could get food to eat in my room (which I prefer when I’m on my own). Very comfortable bed and shower was excellent temperature and flow. I really liked the fact you can open the window - fresh air instead of a fan is so much better! Even though I slept with the window open, I was warm and had a good nights sleep. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Will come again!
A mirror in the bedroom (in addition to the bathroom) to utilise when drying hair from the electricity in the bedroom. It would be a simple but essential improvement! Shame to have to pay for parking so just note this adds to the overall cost, but this hotel is still a good price compared to others in the area.

All of the staff are very friendly and helpful, there was always someone around to help with any questions you might have! The check-in and out was easy too, and they have snacks and drinks for sale at the front desk for a good price! The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, with a good air con! Mirror above the desk, which was perfect for getting ready at and the kettle and mugs were all nice and clean! All other areas of the hotel were also very clean! As well as this, the restaurant at the hotel had excellent food and service! There is a comfy area outside the front where you can have a drink from the bar (unfortunately the weather was not great during our stay, but if it had been sunny I would of definitely made the most of that area) All round a great hotel for a great price, definitely much nicer to stay in than a stereotypical chain hotel!
If you require more space for mobility, to get ready, or are staying for longer than a few days, it might be best to pick the bigger rooms. We chose the smallest size room, which wasn't an issue for us, and it didn't feel cramped. But it could be something other people want to consider if you do require more space!

I have to say as regards value for money, I can’t fault Cornmill Hotel. Staff were very friendly, very helpful and explained things clearly. The single room was very small though the bathroom seemed bigger than the actual room and well furnished. I was impressed by the continental breakfast for £7.99! A varied level of choice for breakfast and I can’t recommend it sufficiently. To say it was value for money would be an understatement!

The property is located near to a supermarket and various fast food places, and there is a nice park to go running in just over a km away. The restaurant is really nice too. The rooms are clean and have good WiFi The staff are first class! We had to extend our stay twice due to the job running over and both times we were able to extend, and with the same rooms without any hassle. Having the invoices emailed made my life easy too so I could forward them to the accountant
If I’m being picky, having to pay for parking

Firstly, the staff were lovely. Really helpful and friendly. The room was big and the shower was nice
The room was very hot. The air con worked but wasn’t amazing. The room was cool by the time I woke up in the morning but hot when I went to sleep. The on site restaurant was lovely but not actually affiliated to the hotel which is fine, but a bit confusing. Had to pay for parking

Lovely room, bed was great, everything was nice and clean. only thing I didn't like was the continental breakfast I should have checked in advance but that was my mistake so I can't fault the place, I'd happily come back here next time im in hull. I have to add I wasn't expecting much from the restaurant downstairs but the food was beautiful and really fairly priced. Staff in the hotel and restaurant where great
Breakfast but that's my fault for not checking if it's full English or continental

Cleanliness, soft drinks, and snacks available to purchase at reception. Premier Inn is much more expensive and you sti have to pay £10 to park so I felt the parking charge was reasonable. The complaints about this and small rooms aren't valid; the hotel is priced accordingly and is very good VFM.
Restaurant not open on a Fri night A few too many reminders of "you will be charged for damage to room/smoking in room/lost key cards.." etc. Valid charges perhaps but the various notices didn't feel very welcoming.
