The room and bathroom are pretty big and clean. The location is really good as the it is very nearby the train station and also city center. However, it is still in quiet area so that you won't be bothered by loud music sound from bars in the center. Bathroom has hot water, and the room has own outdoor area where you can have breakfast or some snack.

In location wise, the area itself is quiet. However, if other guests of hotels are unfortunately a bit loud, you will hear everything. When we stayed, other guests in next room or next building were having small parties at night. We literally could hear every single word of their conversation. We felt like we were in the same room with them.

We had a fantastic stay at Samiru Guest Inn Hotel!! The family made us feel welcome from the time we arrived there. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable bed, fridge and really nice hot shower! We enjoyed a lovely breakfast every morning. The owner was very helpful, gave us a lot of tips, and even arranged with friends of them to let us leave our luggage there when we visited the Diyalama waterfalls. The hotel is ideally just 300m away from Ella train station, and 5min walk to the town centre. A perfect stay👌!! Definitely recommended!!

Its a quiet and clean accommodation, but still close to the train station and the hectic main street of Ella. It comes with a terrace and an outside seating area on which you can enjoy your breakfast. The owner and his family were very welcoming! While we were there they celebrated new years and invited us into their Home for a special breakfast which we really enjoyed and highly appreciated! Right next the accommodation we found a cooking class which was a lot of fun and very convenient since you can just walk upstairs after an amazing dinner. We would always come again!

Very friendly and helpful host. He will give you suggestions and he also has a tuk tuk to drive you around. Breakfast was very nice and the room was spacious and very clean! There was a mosquito net which was very convenient. A/C not needed since the temperature is cooler in Ella but there is a fan just in case. Mattress was great - we slept really well! Perfect location: 5-min walk to the centre with many restaurants, all day bars and supermarkets. 20-30 min walk to the 9 arch bridge. And 5-min walk to the train. Cute little yard in the front of the room where you can watch all kinds of birds, squirrels and mongooses.

Loud music from a bar nearby until midnight. You can't leave food on the table or anywhere else because of ants; it must be stored in the fridge.

Our spacious room was located a few minutes away from the train station, ATMs, marts and restaurants. It was clean, very comfortable bed, hot shower, fan and fridge. We had breakfast there every morning (fruit, toast, roti, omelette etc) which was delicious. The owner was always friendly and accommodating organising a motorbike for us with no fuss. We loved our stay in beautiful Ella!

It was Really clean and well maintained room. The owner was very much helpful. Even though we are from Srilanka he was guiding us how to start the trip and what are unique places to visit at Ella. We travelled using a rented bike so we were able to cover all the areas which he told us. Overall, a good trip.

They had hot water but the difference between the hot water and the cold water was almost same might be because of the cold weather the water was not getting heated automatically from the tap.

The location was fantastic. Very conveniently located in between the trainstation and the mainstreet. it was nice and quiet in the evening and at night. Really nice to sit outside the room on the terrace. The room was spotless as well as the bathroom. Nice hot shower. Good breakfast served as you like it and at the time you prefer. We had Sri Lankan one morning and English the other. The family running the place will do whatever it takes to make your stay in Ella memorable.

Samiru and his wife are very attentive and welcoming hosts, who always find time to help out with our needs. Samiru provided lots of recommendations about the area and as per our requests also gave us rides to different sightseeing spots with his tuktuk. The guest house is located in a quiet area yet bars, restaurants and the train station can be reached within a few minutes. Thank you, Samiru, for the delicious lunch boxes you prepared for our train ride and for the interesting conversations about Sri Lanka. The room was spacious and clean with huge bathroom. They serve generous breakfast. The location is also walking distance to centre of Ella. The owner was also helpful as he guide my driver in finding the location of the inn. He also helped me in carrying my luggage.

During my stay there was a dog in the neighborhood barked loudly in the morning which disrupted my sleep (twice). And you can hear the music from outside during at night. While the hotel itself was decent.

Samiru guest house is a perfect place away from all the noise that Ella has nowadays(still only short walk to town). Surrounded by beautiful nature, very clean and comfy with good breakfast. The host is one of the most kind, helpfull and friendly person I've ever met. He made sure that me and my wife had the best time in Ella. He drove us to multiple beautiful places during our stay.
