Jo & Ken do an outstanding job welcoming you to their B&B with a customizable breakfast that is vegetarian-friendly and celiac-friendly. The facilities are of great comfort. Additionally, the hosts have great knowledge of the region and can provide less-known tips for hiking trails, restaurant tips and other activities around Strahan. They are also quite knowledgeable about the history of the place, there is a huon pine tree in the nice gardens of the house and the "Honesty-bar" has a very good selection of wines from mainland Australia and especially Tasmania.

What a find. Jo and Ken were perfect hosts providing us with heaps of advice about various things to do as well as making us feel incredibly welcome into their home. The facilities are outstanding. Our room was huge and the bed was very comfortable and very large. We slept like logs. Breakfast was a treat. Fully cooked bacon and eggs with all the trimmings or cereal and yogurt and fruit or all of the above. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you go to Strahan. Stay here.

Jo and Ken were fabulous hosts. Breakfast was delicious as was the dinner we requested on the first night of our stay. Fantastic touches like home-made breads and jams, refrigerator for guests to use, a nice selection of beverages guests could purchase and consume and of course a cosy lounge with log fire and board games to play.
There was nothing that I did not love about this property. I stay at a lot of hotels and other types of accommodations. Jo and Ken had thought of everything that makes a stay more comfortable.

Rooms beautifully decorated with plenty of space. Well stocked coffee/tea nook. Breakfasts were amazing with home baked bread, home made preserves and freshly laid eggs! Importantly we found the beds very comfortable.
Only minor quibbles. Shower floor a little slippery when wet. Not good lighting when in front of the bathroom mirror.

Beautiful house, the cooked breakfasts, comfortable beds, everything was really clean, hospitality was great and hosts were incredibly informative and gave some great ideas of things to do/ where to eat in the area.
Not that we didn’t not like it because we understand the point is to relax but would have been nice to have access to televisions in the rooms. Especially when married at first sight is on and one of the guests were watching ABC tv show on the shared tv. But also we get that the idea is to spend time together, be present and relax!! Wasn’t a huge deal but just a thought.

One of the best bed and breakfasts we have stayed in. Lovely old property with large comfortable room. Great breakfasts and friendly hosts. Good local tips for dining and sightseeing. Followed the recommendation to stop at Mount Jukes lookout near Queenstown for spectacular views.

Jo and Ken are the perfect hosts. We had the most amazing time at Harrisons B& B in Strahan. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The location was perfect and the breakfast was exceptional. The amenities offered were wonderful. If you are looking for a ‘home away from home’ experience in Strahan, visit Jo and Ken. You won’t be disappointed!
