I am very happy I selected Candy Inn for my 3 night stay in Hue. Hoang, the host, greeted me on arrival with a friendly smile, a plate of fruit, and tea. He was so accommodating and made sure I was comfortable and always available to help in any way. He even turned on the air conditioning in my room prior to me coming back from an all day tour. The breakfast was both generous and delicious. The room had adequate space, a refrigerator, and was clean. The location is very close to a number of restaurants, thrift stores, and the wharf. You can easily get a GRAB right up the alley from the hotel. Thank you Hoang for making my stay in Hue very pleasant!

Everything was great!

The host Hoang was amazing did everything he could to make use feel welcome, we had arrived from a night bus and he allowed us to check in early and after a very comfortable nap made us a lovely plate of fresh fruit and tea. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The Homestay is in a great location, close to the main town but very quiet at night still. Hoang answered all our questions and gave us a google maps link of 50 restaurants, cafes and activities to do in Hue immediately upon arrival which made us feel much more confident to navigate the city, as well a helping us plan and book our entire route to Hoi An on motorbike. The breakfast is excellent by far the best in any Homestay I’ve stayed before. All this for a very reasonable price. Could not recommend it more!!!!

Everything is clean and it is great value for the money. The room had everything you need. But what makes the place so good is the host, he does everything to make you satisfied with your stay in Hue. Coming by night bus from Ninh binh we booked the night before so we would have our room ready to relax in. The host had prepared us breakfast, let us some time to rest before sending us a list of things to do in Hue (local cafe, restaurants, attractions etc …). Knowing we had only a day, he advised us what we would be able to do best in that short time, not to over do it! He then proposed us a way to hoi an with a tour which we took, that was nice. To show just how much he cares, he sent us a message later when we arrive in Hoi an to check on us, adorable! Would definitely stay in candy inn again if we travel back to Hue.

Very clean and quiet accommodations in the center of Hue. The host/manager was hospitable and focused on providing quality accommodations at a good price. Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink and fresh fruit. We stayed in Room 301 and it was comfortable and appeared to have been recently renovated. It had everything we needed including a hairdryer, mini refrigerator, and clothes hangers. Breakfast was included with our stay and made to order. We had eggs one morning and banana pancakes the next morning. I recommend Candy Inn without hesitation.

We had an excellent stay for four nights. The host arranged pick up from the train station (he actually picked us up himself), a half day tour of the tombs and pagoda, and transport to the airport. All were affordable and reasonably priced. We were given fruit and tea on arrival (and basically throughout our stay). Breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit plate, eggs, bread, tea, coffee, juice, etc., (eggs prepared to order). The hotel host is a personable fellow. He seems eager to please his guests and make their stay enjoyable and memorable. The hotel is in a good location, near cafes and restaurants. Our room with a balcony was spacious as was the bathroom. Beds were comfortable and the rooms, towels and linens were refreshed every day.

The towels were a bit worn could be updated.

The manager running the place was excellent, gave us breakfast on arrival - nice touch. The room was big and spacious. Great location, close to loads of bars and restaurants, massage places and cafes. It is also very quiet because it is situated off the main drag in a narrow side street. There is also a really excellent gym, 100m from the guesthouse, 120K, for a day, great value - loved it. Bike rental at Hué Smile Travel was really good. Heavy single-gear bikes for 75K- great for nearby places like the Imperial Palace, quality mountain bikes for 270k, well worth the extra for longer trips - we used them to visit the 3 tomb sites, really enjoyable (about 32 kms in total).

Candy Inn- Communication before arriving was excellent. Hoan and his family made our stay so welcoming. He helped advise us on our itinerary with various options of our own choosing tailored to our time and interests. Breakfast was plenty, fresh fruits, juices, teas, coffee of your choice and breakfast made to order…including his yummy Bun Bo Soup/Noodles! We were always greeted with a smile, kindness, fun and a super positive vibe. Special little touches like- fresh juice and water each time we arrived home, organising transfers and cheap laundry across the lane. A lovely family business and home stay that makes a lot of effort. Rooms are simple, comfortable and very clean, that’s all we needed. Air con/fans, energy conscious hot water system, great beds. Highly recommended, especially if you are on a budget and want to be in the heart of Hue. Great host who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay and time in Hue.

The job of running the home stay with his sister is extremely important to the manager and he is desperate to be as kind and helpful as possible. He tries too hard though and latches onto you the moment you come in the door. It becomes an invasion of privacy. The home stay is basic, but comfortable enough, and clean. The rooms have the dreaded wet room, where the shower water goes everywhere. It’s not particularly cheap.

I was here because my first choice hotel cancelled on me at the last minute due to alleged safety issues. Maybe my expectations were too high at the Candy.

The owner was super friendly and went way above and beyond to make us conformable. He allowed for a super early check-in at about 9am, made us a free breakfast, and gave us lots of travel advise. He was very friendly and welcoming. The room was simple, but met all of my needs perfectly. Comfortable bed, strong AC, quiet room, a desk, etc. We slept very well. The breakfast was simple, but good, his banana pancake (more like crepe) with honey is SO good that I got it every time, I'd recommend getting that. Overall, a super amazing value with friendly staff.

The host was so nice and so helpful! He also arranged our bus to Hoi An when we left Hue. The room was very comfortable, quiet and very clean and the bed was so comfortable that we slept in later than we have before in Vietnam. Breakfast was delicious and was ready for us within minutes of coming downstairs as he asked us what we wanted the night before. Lots of beautiful fresh fruit and juice. The location was perfect for walking to all the restaurants and nightspots. It was close enough to walk to the Imperial City also. We thought we would need to rent a scooter but we didn't need to. Highly recommend Candy Inn. 10/10.
