The staff were really great and they even offered to make us breakfast quickly before we left early for a bus. We were always met with kind smiles and polite exchanges. They were incredibly generous to allow us to check in at 6am and allow us to sleep after our night bus as they had a room available. The location is 30 minutes walk from the historical sites but it’s all flat. There are loads of coffee shops and restaurants around too.

Our room wasn’t the cleanest but we were only there for 1 night so didn’t bother to say anything. I do believe if we did, they would have acted immediately but it was fine for us.

Nice wee hotel in side street beside Hué walking street. Friendly staff. Room was good and hot shower. Breakfast downstairs in cafe pretty good. Jacuzzi top floor. Decent price and good location. Family run hotel. I'd stay here again.

Wouldn't call it a spa. It's got a pool underneath the stairs and a jacuzzi on top floor. Definitely too much chlorine in jacuzzi. Building work going on in next building. But still very good stay.

I arrived about 8am after spending the night on a sleeper bus. Tram at reception offered me a spare room in which I could take a much needed shower and rest if I liked. She told me my room would be ready at 12 so after refreshing I walked around town to familiarize myself and my room was ready when I returned. The room was spacious, had a balcony and the bathroom was nice. Breakfast was 4 choices and all were tasty. I can highly recommend Maison Trang restaurant which is underneath the Hotel. I ate there 4 times and wasn't disappointed! Tram was so pleasant and friendly, giving good advice and helping with any problems or booking trips etc. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Hue and at the Poetic Hotel.

There was a little smell of damp, but was easily solved by opening a window or by using a fan/air conditioning.

Very calm and clean rooms which are furnished with a lot of love. The bed was very comfortable (although the use of plastic underlining) and had a balcony. The breakfast options were solid and very tasty. They offer all sorts of services (scooter rental, laundry) and tours (I did not do a tour but rented a scooter). In/ next to it is Maison Trang, my favorite restaurant throughout the last 4 week. The food and service are outstanding and the prices are very good. I ate there 3 or 4 times and every single dish was just amazing. Must try restaurant, even if you don’t stay at the hotel.

We loved it here !! Felt like quite a fancy budget hotel. Staff was very kind, breakfast at the restaurant next door was DELICIOUS. Best omelet I’ve ever had. Room was clean and pretty, beds comfy, bathroom and shower was nice. We never used the pool but it was nice to have the option. Rented a motorbike through the lovely lady at reception for a few days for a good price. Thank you! We’d absolutely stay here again.

Location was excellent. Bars and restuarants around you. Hop on hop off walking distance. The river and activities around the river is walking distance. The pool was great and the restaurant at the hotel was good local cuisine. I arrived early and they were kind to prep the room within 40 min. Reception very kond. Booked a tour to Da Nang whish is my end destination.

Its really good position in the city. Like really behind the corner of walking street. Stuff are really frendly and helpfull. You can rent a motorbike for good price. Only recomend not to exchange money you can find a better price.

Pool from the pictures on the top floor is for extra charge and free is down under the stairs.

The hostel/hotel is operated by a lovely family. Everyone is smiling all the time. They are helpful and honest. Except for the smell from the drain, everything was clean, the water was hot and the pressure was satisfying. Towels changed every day. The family also operates the restaurant downstairs. Apparently, it's very popular. It's full in the evenings. No surprise, because the food is cheap, good and served in a beautiful way. It's all located in a small alley so usually it's very quiet. Bus tickets, motorcycles and all the information you need.

*The smell from the bathroom. *Very limited breakfast. *The staff starts speaking very loudly at 6-6:30 AM.

This is a budget hotel and works out to be good value for money. Limited choice for breakfast but what we had was well done. The hotel has a combined restaurant which was very good.

It did have a swimming pool but it was in an odd position

The staff were really nice and helpful throughout our stay. They were also were very curious about us as travellers which was a nice touch. The room itself came with a fan and aircon as well, and although the room itself was quite basic and likely in need of some more updating (there were some nice touches here and there but a bit of damage was noted with the lighting especially). The location is actually down an alleyway (not scary at all, felt very safe as two female travellers walking down it after 12pm) which is connected to the mainstreets of downtown so easy to get to all the restaurants and Hue really comes to life over the weekend with the night markets and roads being closed.

So it's advertised as a spa and it does have a menu of spa treatments at very cheap prices. However the actual jacuzzi itself is actually in the main rec room with the billiards table present. Once again, slightly dated furniture also was noted. For the price you pay, I guess it is to be expected but was a bit surprised at this design choice.
