Hotel Central was ideally situated, a short walk from the Place de l'Horloge and the Palais des Papes but away from any noisy cafes, and about 6 minutes walk to Avignon Central train station. The staff were kind and polite and the rooms nicely decorated and comfortable, with a kettle and tea and coffee. The rooms overlooking the courtyard were particularly nice. The breakfast had nice pastries, bread, cold meats, boiled eggs and fruit. The hotel was ideal for our stay and I would certainly recommend it.

There was nothing I didn't like. I don't think there was a lift which might be a problem for some.

A wonderful hotel in the heart of Avignon, dead centre of the town. A nice outdoor terrace which even in Winter time shields nicely from the wind and makes a winter sit down to be a pleasurable experience. Comfy bed, lovely bathroom. Highly recommended.

Our only complaint is the particularly bad smell in the showers (which seems to be common in lots of hotels). Maybe they don't get flushed very often.

We stayed in a lovely room that was very clean, nicely decortaed and well equipped. Sat out on a terrace where there was also wifi access so I could do some work from there overlooking the rooftops and tree canopy. Staff was friendly and location was great. We only had one night and were able to explore a lot of Avignon on foot from the hotel. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Breakfast was ok, it was nice to sit out in the courtyard, but a little expensive for what it offers. Next time I might grab a croissant and coffee round the corner for half the price!

Central location, clean and spacious, has elevator for Some rooms. In our type of room, we had Fridge & Coffee maker. Quiet. Parking was near, less than 200 meters and around 20 Euro a day.

Bed mattress was Soft , for older guest or Someone with backage Cause problem, and they have nothing to replace. Breakfast was Simple, but acceptable.

Our bedroom and bathroom were large and clean, with TV and the ability to make hot drinks. We were on a main street in Avignon yet our room was very quiet, on a terrace which had a pleasant view over the rooftops. We were less than 10 mins' walk from the city's bus and train stations (TGV station is 5km away). Staff were responsive when issues were raised; in particular they told us when and where to catch the (infrequent) bus to the magnificent Pont du Gard, 20 miles away.

We were upgraded to a large bedroom on the upper terrace, which was a kind gesture. However our arrival night was cold and windy. A regular room in the main heated body of the hotel might have been easier. The bedroom was cool on our arrival, which was unsettling as we couldn't work out how to heat it. We went out for dinner and staff had responded to our request to remedy the heating on our return. The room was ok from then on. Breakfast was not relaxed, as my partner had to keep checking that no-one had taken his 'self-service' egg during the 5 mins it was boiling; we ran out of fresh bread one morning, but on the plus side gluten-free bread was available on request.

Very reasonable cost for the location just a couple blocks north of the station so walk because you can’t get a taxi there. It is central to every thing in old Avignon as the name suggests and it’s easy to pop out for a stroll around a few streets, then go back to the hotel to rest. It’s very comfortable with a little restaurant on the main floor with tables in the lobby or on the street so you can people watch. The staff are friendly and can help with travel issues. The breakfast buffet is very satisfying with good variety.

The rooms are small and you have to use the staircase for some.

Your impression often depends on the staff and your own attitude. We were planning to stay just one night in Avignon. It was a last-minute decision, and we didn’t spend much time searching for a hotel, but we were lucky to book exactly what we needed. The hotel is modern and comfortable, located right on the main street, so everything we needed was within a 10-minute walk.The room was spacious and cozy, and the bed was amazing - we slept like babies.

I liked everything.

The location is among the few nearest hotel from Avignon train station (Avignon Centre), thus easy to pull your luggage to the hotel from the train station. Distance to the palais also not far (less than 1km). Carrefour & Normal are nearly thus make it easy to buy grocery. Room is clean, it is small but can fit in 2 big suitcases. Air-conditioning is good too.

hairdryer is not strong power, took long to dry my long hair.

The reception staff gave me a room upgrade and I was very happy with my room. It was in the section with an elevator. The room was very large and beautifully decorated with large windows. It overlooked the main street but there was never.any.noise coming into the room. It was lovely and quiet. The supermarket across the street was very handy. The hotel is perfectly located for an easy walk to the main sites.

The hotel's location is perfect, just a short walk from the train station inside the walls of the old town. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of food, lots of coffee and freshly boiled eggs. My room was small but comfortable and included everything I needed. I was happy to be able to make myself a hot coffee upon arrival.
