The room was clean, tidy and decorated really nicely. Aircon was effective and quiet. The selection of tea/coffee and biscuits was a nice surprise! The bathroom likewise was lovely, a really nice bath and shower, heated mirror, loved it. We went down to the restaurant one evening and the bar staff were lovely too! Food was a little pricey but very tasty. Location-wise this hotel is perfect for access to the train station and Hatfield House, and the Galleria nearby has plenty of shops and eateries too.

The TV in the bedroom had signal issues with several channels and lacked Smart features. But this didn't impact our stay at all.

I loved the location, the rooms, the decor and the amenities. I also love the world class treatment from staff. Thomas and Greg (and the rest of the team) moved mountains to ensure that my trip was superb. To be honest, the service I received made me forget that I was on a work trip at some points. I take many work trips throughout the year and this hotel is way up there on my list. In fact, I can confidently say that this hotel has far better service than some more higher ranked places. I’ll definitely be back and I mean that wholeheartedly. This is the kind of place that makes you want to return. If you’re thinking about booking, run, don’t walk and get it done. You absolutely will not regret it. Thanks a million to Thomas, Greg and the team for a wonderful time.

I loved every single things. If I had to come with something that was a little less than excellent, it’d be that the walls in the room I originally showed a bit of wear and tear. I asked for a new room and my request was immediately granted.

Booked as a last minute thing, didn't know what to expect, other than the hotel was where we needed to be. Was extremely happy with our choice. Check in was very easy. Our room, in the new part of the hotel, was excellent, clean spacious and quiet. The massive bed was extremely comfortable and there was a good choice of pillows. Nice bathroom with a lovely walk in shower. In the old part of the hotel there is a nice bar, which we enjoyed, before walking through to the restaurant, where we were able to mix and match off the restaurant menu and the bar menu. The food was very nice and the portions were very generous and reasonably priced. Check out the next morning was straight forward and they allowed us to leave the car there while we explored the near by Galleria shopping centre.

It would be good if you could access streaming services on the TV such as Netflix, Prime etc. We were only there for 1 night so not a problem, but for a longer stay it might be nice.

Easy to find and nicely presented hotel. An old art deco exterior but modernised and updated inside with some rooms in a modern wing. Breakfast buffet wasn't huge but everything was hot. Room was a good size and comfortable.

Only negative was that the new wing backs onto student residences and there was a lot of noise from midnight to 2pm (friday night) with students gathered outside talking. If you are a light sleeper I would recommend you make sure your room is not in the new wing or on the opposite side to the student accommodation. Location is not exactly special either - ok for a business trip, but not so much a "weekend away".

Due to adverse weather we had to book a hotel last minute and I booked the comet . The comet was a fab find . Huge deluxe rooms , highly finished , warm , clean , superb bathrooms . Really professional staff from reception to kitchen to dining room with a fantastic quality breakfast . Breakfast really sealed the deal for us . We had been to a funeral in Hatfield & unfortunately driving conditions were appalling so we could not get home . The comet was the perfect choice & was in a brilliant location .

A little bit better signposting to the rooms would be great especially as you had to go outside main reception to find your block .

Breafasts, dinners and teas and coffees all good

There needs to be better roadside signage. To those unfamiliar with the locality, the roads system locally are a maze and concerning to the driver. On a personal note only, whilst I am delighted that foreign nationals look after us in hospitality, but because I am hard of hearing I find the elocution could be clearer (most for the more elderly). Speaking more slowly would probably be enough. I would never dream of commenting to someone face to face on this issue.

The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet despite its location on a busy road. The breakfast was very good, freshly cooked and lots of choice. We had dinner in the restaurant which was also good. I cannot fault the staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful and ready to go the extra mile to make our stay special. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

I can't think of anything apart from possibly the location on a busy roundabout but that is an advantage for accessibility and the sound proofing in the building is so good that we did not hear any traffic at all..

Location was perfect as going to an event in Hertford. Room was lovely. Nicely decorated. Well equipped. Lovely modern bathroom. Nice to have air-con. Lovely comfy extra large bed. Slept like a baby. Bar was nice and we had lunch there. Mrs had the Caesar Salad and said was good & good size portion that she couldn't finish it. I had a BLT. Was really good and plenty of bacon inside. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice & of a high standard. I always compare the scrambled eggs anywhere I stay to the ones I have in The Hilton Hotel chain. Soft, fluffy and creamy - and they were spot on - lovely and creamy and not just a solid lump like a lot of places! Staff were all lovely and attentive. Can't really fault anything. Free car park was a bonus compared to a lot of places these days.

I choose the Comet hotel as it is very close to the HIC and University of Hertfordshire. It is also pretty close to the Galleria Mall. It is at commuting distance to the College and University. The Luna (students accommodation) close by is very quiet so there is almost no noise. I didn't even hear the noise from the close-by road. The security is nice and the access to the room is well protected. The room is so comfy with a wonderful blue wall and beige bergere with lovely and comfy bedding. I could have a temperature of 21C or 27 according to the weather. I really loved the in-room cookies and chamomile tea but there is There was a TV with nice channels which I watch when I was not sleeping or having errands. There were adequate toiletries and the shower floor is nonskid which is a real plus. The room lighting was superb and adequate and the windows had white blinds besides the curtains. I had a lovely rest during those three nights and will surely stay there for my next visit in Hatfield.

There was a very slight odor from the drain hole of the shower area when showering the first day but rapidly addressed as I did not smell it after the room cleaning.

The staff were fantastic; so helpful and thoughtful and friendly. The service was excellent in all areas of the hotel; the restaurant, bar, the reception. The room was clean and comfortable, the food in the restaurant was excellent. Very good. The facilities were good; bright, colourful, modern and stylish.

The location and views; the hotel is in the middle of a lot of busy roads but that’s convenient for some people.
