room was very nice; comfortable. We did lose electricity the night we stayed - took about 15 minutes to restore, after my cpap had stopped working and woken me up. I would expect a resort of this size to have back up generators.

Property is meant to be walked, but walking wasn't possible for this 63 year old; it's way too hilly and difficult to get anywhere on foot from our rooms' location. If I'd known I would have requested rooms closer to the pools. I also didn't like when I went for my horseback ride and they weren't expecting me. I had to return to my room to search for my receipt showing I'd paid. Couldn't find it, big kerfluffle, lots of uncertainty, embarrassment, delay of activity for me and everyone. One poorly trained employee nearly ruined our stay. And I didn't like the density of guests enjoying the pools. I was a guest of the resort and could never find an empty chair near the pool, I think because they were all occupied by people there on day passes. Not cool.

Great location. Nice Hot Springs. very friendly staff. Great view of the volcano.

Rooms were really antiquated. And swimming was open until 10 PM, I believe, and there are no or very few lights in a lot of the areas (paths or pools). By contrast if you go to Baldi, Hot Springs, there are lights literally everywhere. Los Lagos would really help itself by adding LED lights around the property, including in the pools for at night so the people feel safe when they’re swimming in the dark.

The location was good with a fabulous view to the volcano and out over the plains. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was great.

We were in Costa Rica to experience the nature and wildlife....this hotel felt very much like a theme park. Our room was a 15 minute walk down to reception ( very steep to walk back up)although you can call for the internal shuttle bus at any time. There seemed to be a lot of single use plastic, polythene wrapped drinking glasses in the room, disposable plastic for drinks at the pool bar. I am amazed that they advertise the butterfly garden....it is a run down little shade house that looks like nobody has tended to for a decade. We saw two butterflies in it....you can see way more on any patch of roadside scrubland.

The breakfast Buffett had a good variety of options, including an omelette station. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The rooms were a good size and the AC worked well. The location was a quick 15 min to downtown. There are many pools to choose from.

The pools were fairly crowded in the afternoon and night. It seems like the crowd was due to day pass users. I saw plenty of older kids who did not mind and were running around and having fun. Our younger kids had a harder time. At night, the pools turned into “date night.” One man pulled down his dates bathing suit top and we all saw her breasts. Some pools had people behaving normally but there were plenty of pools with people making out. The resort was also loud from our room. We could hear the buses that drop people off until 10pm. Occasionally we would hear people being loud or shouting as they got on their buses. This all definitely made our trip less enjoyable.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was HUGE and very spacious. The back balcony was large and had a gorgeous view. We even had a side view of the volcano. The pools were a hit with my teens. The water slide was great - super fast. We never had an issue finding a space to put our belongings or lounge, and the pools were so amazing. Very hot to cool. Something for everyone. The breakfast was very nice, both cold and hot items were offered. The staff was helpful and friendly. We had a little issue with our key (which is like a watch). But they were quick to send someone up to change the battery in the door mechanism. We had a car, so it was easy for us to get around, but the hotel is about 10 10-minute drive from downtown.

My only complaint, and I feel silly for even saying it - the bathroom needs towel hooks and some shelving for toiletries.

We loved the little bungalow we stayed in, even though there were some bugs and a little lizard that made their way in. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We just had to call and a shuttle would come pick us up to take us to the lobby, to breakfast, etc. The included breakfast was good, had an omelet made to order and delicious fresh fruit, yogurt, and plenty of muffins. The grounds were beautiful and lush, which is not a surprise as rain is abundant. The hot springs were spread out and at different temperature levels. This was a nice element of the resort, including the water slide that comes into the pool. Fun for kids and adults too!

Would have liked a way to dry things out like some drying racks and a fan in the bathroom.

The facilities were amazing! We loved the pools (both thermal and cold water with water slide), swim-up bar, gardens and delicious buffet breakfast. Our room was clean, comfortable and an easy walk from both the pools and the restaurant/main office. We also had an amazing view of the volcano.

The first night we stayed in a different room (due to adding an additional night right before our trip) and it was not as nice as the one we stayed in the rest of the time. It was older and the hot water did not work. I called the office and was told someone would check it out but they didn't do so that night.

The resort had many thermal pools to hang out in. The property is home to many birds, butterflies and activities to keep you busy for the week. The staff was helpful with all my needs in changing rooms. The restaurant had delicious breakfast buffet and dinners. There is a shuttle that runs throughout the day to bring you to the rooms in the 200’s number scheme.

The room walls are paper thin. I could hear the person snoring and talking on their phone in the room next door. You can also hear the shuttle bus going up and down the road if your room is close to the road. There is no hotel shuttle service into town but Uber or taxi services are 15 minutes away into La Fortuna.

I liked how spread out the rooms were on there property- it didn't feel like a crammed resort! They had vans to pick you up right by your room to take you you the pools or to breakfast. Yes you could drive your car down- but why bother when you can have door to door service. The pools were super clean and of varying temps. The pools were divided by really nice landscaping that attracted colorful birds. There was a road on there property to drive up to view the volcano- we had a great view one of our days. Towels were provided at the pools. They had great bars with food and drinks at super reasonable prices. Breakfast was great- it was included in our room rate. Town was close by so we could go out to dinner in our car.

Great pools and activities on the premisis such as the pools and horseback-riding! The horses and the instructor was great! Wonderfull breakfast and the evening restaurant was really great and fair prices - highly reconmendable! And many thanks for the flexibility when we switched rooms 🙏😊

The check-in woman was not very helpfull, and we did not like the first room we were allocated to. The personale in general were not as welcomming and did not smile as much as we are used to.
