The hotel was clean, comfortable and stylish. The staff excellent. We liked everything about the hotel itself. It had a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Service was attentive but not pushy.

Unfortunately our bedroom was next door to some other guests who behaved in a socially inappropriate manner late at night keeping people around them awake and uneasy. The staff handled the situation as best they could but police needed to be called. We were compensated appropriately.

An old property that has really and truly been renovated throughout to bring it to the point it feels brand new! Clean, bright, modern, with large bedrooms, big comfy beds, large clean bathrooms with showers that have more power than needed (difficult to find today) and towels that appear brand new! Plenty of parking where SUV’s actually fit in a space marking! Beautiful and simple, well kept gardens! Bright and cheerful, spacious lounges, bars and dining rooms with outside serving! Very obliging and cheerful staff! On top of all that, a beautiful park is across the road!

Hard to think of anything… which says a lot! Bravo to everyone that works there and the management that keeps it up to speed and specs! ….and especially a round of appreciation to gardener / groundsmen 👏 Keep it up!

Stayed in different rooms over several days due to needing to rebook (this was down to me not the hotel) first room (311) was very small bedroom but a huge bathroom. Unfortunately the bathroom floor wasn’t cleaned properly as there were a couple of cotton buds left on the floor from previous guests. Second room (307) was a bit better in size but the shower was very narrow. The room was cold and we had to put on the electric radiator on. The heated towel rail didn’t work properly either. Final room (210) this was in the main hotel was good in size both bedroom and bathroom. This room could do with a little talc. There was a large crack in the sink. The shower was good apart from a grab rail was right in the way so you had to stand sideways to shower. Breakfast was lovely but no sauce was given when asked. Having said all this I would stay again.

We had a 2-night stay at ThePark, which is a very modern, fresh and clean hotel, in an ideal location on a quiet road right opposite a lovely, large park. Lots of parking space. Every corner of the hotel was immaculate and stylish. The food was a very high quality when we had an evening meal in its restaurant. Rooms had everything you needed, an eve the complementary biscuits were of a high quality. There is adequate sitting inside and out for a place to relax and enjoy the calm, chilled atmosphere.

High standards of cleanliness and friendly efficient service and plenty of parking excellent breakfast , very comfortable guest areas bar lounge . Hotel overlooking a nice park by the river quiet area / short walk to theatre in town, We were upgraded to a room in main block rather than the annexe . We have stayed in the annexe before which needs updating so we much preferred main block .

Some people might find too much light from the lights in car park coming into room . Options of black out blinds may be useful in this side .

The room was very comfortable with an attractive view over the park opposite. The road outside was quiet and it was a short walk into town. The food at breakfast and in the evening was well cooked and very tasty. The bar area was spacious and welcoming and all of the staff were pleasant and friendly. Parking spaces were available at the rear of the hotel.

As with the majority of hotels, there was only one comfortable chair in the room.

The room was very good. Well presented and clean. Good selection of hot drinks available.

It would have been good to have a hookin order to hang a towel when getting out of the shower. Sadly breakfast was dreadful. We were shown to our table where we waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken and our tea & coffee arrived with toast, sadly toast going cold as we wished to have with our breakfast but then we had to ask a member of staff to find out where our cooked breakfast was, after having to wait another 30 minutes! People arrived after us yet had been given their cooked breakfast. Obviously we had been forgotten but no apology from any member of staff!! Sadly after the experience and staying for three nights we decided to eat out somewhere else!!!

Room size and bathroom good with the room serviced in good time daily. Breakfast and Dinner excellent with good variety of choices and freshly cooked, Parking was very good as we were able to use a large garage which also held 2 EV charge points.

The EV charges with Smappee was very high at approx. 90p per KwH. Access to the wardrobe in the room was quite difficult as a bedside table was too close to the wardrobe for access. We had the same restaurant table for our seven days which was in a good location but due to artificial plants we were sometimes hidden from the restaurant staff which caused some delay in ordering or receiving meals.

Unfortunately we had a bad 1st night due to guests in the upstairs room above being disorderly and fighting .the noise was diabolical. We have never complained but we had to phone reception.The manager came and sorted it straight away and was dealt with. The next morning we went to reception the receptionist was excellent and very apologetic and offered us another room but the people were checking out that morning .so we opted to stay in the room we had. In the afternoon we were contacted and were given a complimentary evening meal which was superb. The overall experience of our stay was excellent and the staff were all excellent. We will be staying again for definite.

We had a lovely stay at The Park hotel, on our first night we had problems sleeping due to a number of seagulls squawking during the night. We then spoke to Sandra on reception about this later on and she offered us a new room in the main hotel, it was really lovely and thanks again to her. Overall, the hotel is very nice & modern, the staff are very friendly and efficient and it's nicely situated in the town and not far from the town centre. We will return when in the area.
