The team the that run the place was very helpful. They carry our suitcases all the way up to the second floor on the check in and back down at check out. They made sure that everything we need is taken care off immediately (including information and reservation). The room itself is large with everything we needed. It was very clean and very comfortable. Location of the place is perfect - In addition to being close to downtown, you can just walk for a couple of minutes and find great bakery

Breakfast not included (and the charges for simple breakfast are very high)

Extremely courteous and helpful staff always available to help with directions and information about Aix.

There was a slight leak in bathroom which Sylvio attended to. We loved our room and its lovely view to the backyard. We loved the privacy of the hotel and our quiet meals in the lovely backyard garden and indoor dining area. However it was somewhat difficult bathing in the bathtub. Getting in and out of the relatively small tub was challenging, particularly for a tall person like myself. We will highly recommend your hotel to friends and hope to return at some point. Merci beaucoup

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL aesthetic art and decor. Price was very reasonable and on point for its offerings. Close walk to town center yet just far out to allow for quiet evenings. Staff was eager to resolve any issue. For us we needed to modify the bed sheets a bit since we sleep hot. We couldn’t get the balcony doors open and incurred a language barrier concerning this. Please note the handle lifts up first then down. Would have had a thoroughly enjoyable experience had we figured that out sooner. We used Aix as a base for daily trips to small towns and it was perfect. We were able to be back for evening dinners in town.

Breakfast didn’t sound easy so we went to a local pastry shop daily and bought yogurt’s and juices and wines from the grocery store that’s near the parking garage. We were not fans of the mattress ,bedding, nor the pillows but we are very fussy in the bedding department. This is a beautiful Maison with much thought and love given to it. Would stay here again… Ty for sharing your lovely home.

This is a small boutique hotel- just seven rooms in a great location, a quiet street in the centre of Aix. Our welcome with coffee and madeleines set the tone for our stay. Staff are delightful and couldn’t do enough for us,from restaurant recommendations to friendly chat over breakfast. There is a small breakfast room and a pretty courtyard where we enjoyed the bottle of wine we had been encouraged to buy. Our room, though not large, was stylish and comfortable with an attention to detail we appreciated. Breakfast is a la carte with orders taken the day before. Everything was delicious . All in all we loved our stay largely due to the team who looked after us

As other reviewers have mentioned, there is no lift and the rooms have baths not showers. It is certainly not a cheap option but we loved it

What a gem!! Beautiful boutique hotel. Stylishly decorated with interesting and eclectic art pieces. Great location on quiet street in historic Quartier Mazarin, easy walking distance to explore historic Aix. Staff were great -- Silvio was extremely cheerful, welcoming and very helpful, including with dinner recommendations and reservations. Breakfast was delicious, with wonderful fresh pastries, baguette, cappucino, fresh fruit. Room was clean, very comfortable, quiet, nice view of nearby Church. Parking in nearby pay lot was convenient (but spaces are very tight!).

Nothing.

As warm and genuine a welcome as I have received on my travels anywhere. We felt spoiled by the discreet attention from the reception staff. Our room in the 3rd floor loft was comfortable and airy with huge windows and amusingly quirky decor. The climb up the stairs might prove difficult for some. Our breakfasts, preordered the evening before, were perfect and served in the comfortable drawing room. This small guest house was perfectly situated in a quiet street close to the centre of town, and just a short walk from a multi-storey public car park. We will return if possible.

The Maison du Collectioneur is on an attractive and quiet street in an old quarter of Aix-En-Provence. Aix is a very attractive and affluent resort city. We stayed here for the opera festival, and it worked very well. This is a very small hotel that provides minimum service, but the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are reasonably functional. Beds are comfortable.

There is no elevator and the stairs are somewhat difficult. I would not want to stay above one flight up. The making up of the rooms is perfunctory.

Great place to stay while taking in city of Aix. We had just finished a river cruise , ending in Avignon, and wanted to linger a few days longer before flying home via Marseille. Staff was very helpful, made great dinner recs and helped us secure a reservation at a wonderful place around the corner. Bed comfy and lots of great teas and sweets to nibble on in the lobby and room. Would recommend to others if headed this way.

Perfect location in the old part of town but off the main path and very quiet. Beautiful, small hotel built in the 17 th century and thoughtfully updated. The staff was unbelievable, every one of them delightful and accommodating. We felt like we were staying in the home of friends. Wonderful made to order breakfast. So comfortable- we could not have asked for more.

Nothing.

Silvio and Emma are just amazing - they make you feel like their private guests at their home besides the small boutique hotel is super nice. We normally like having breakfast outside in lovely cafés - this time we enjoyed it every morning onsite. Recommendations by them are simply the best. And if it’s only a little idea - following it at the end feels like the best plan we had (Château Margüi stop) on our way on to Côte d’Azur. Merci beaucoup !!!
