The location and the grounds were very beautiful, surrounded by nature in the middle of the New Forest.

The bed was a little small, and a little pricy considering the rate was without breakfast.

Burley Manor is lovely, my family really enjoyed it. The reception staff were great especially Daisy who went out of her way to tidy our room which had not been done. The ground are exceptional and a treat to see the deer.

My only quibb is the bar, I ordered a bottle of wine and some soft drinks, which were handed to me at the bar and then told that service charge was put on the bill which has to be paid. I did question this as their is no table service which I would expect from a 4 star hotel.

The property was relatively well maintained and recently decorated, which had been quite well done. The restaurant was excellent. We didn’t have breakfast as we had to leave early but the dinner was great. Lots of attention to detail and well cooked for all three of us. The reception and restaurant staff were very polite, friendly and attentive. Rooms clean and comfortable.

Some fixtures and fittings could have been better selected, but this wasn’t a huge issue, it just doesn’t mean the hotel is up to standard with some other more exclusive, and often more expensive, establishments.

Dinner in the restaurant was disappointing. I had fish; it was fairly tasteless, and was drowned in a glutinous sauce which contributed nothing. Staff were not well trained in accounting. At check-in the lady did not take impression of my card, and this caused some confusion when paying for extras. At check-out my extras bill showed 8 breakfasts when it should have been 4. This was immediately corrected to show 6! Finally corrected again to show 4. Corrections were made immediately without argument but they really should not have been necessary.

Stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago with my partner for leisure purposes, stayed here this time whilst I was working in the area, perfectly located base for the locations I was working at, room provided a comfortable, pleasant and quiet area for paperwork.

Restaurant prices where OK whilst we were holidaying, but to expensive for me whilst working, restaurant opened too late for me to have breakfast here anyway.

Stayed for a friend wedding, last min booked as I was meant to stay elsewhere the night before the wedding, but the hotel I was going to stay at was horrible and dirty. I was able to book with 30mins notice and the staff were so friendly and really nice, they were also able to keep me in the same room for the next night, for the other booking! Would defo stay again!

The breakfast food wasn't the best both days, with the sausages not looking fully cooked and the next morning the bagel was so burnt and hard it cut my gum, so the chef need a little more work but everything else was lovely.

The staff were excellent, particularly the lady on reception, although all were courteous and helpful. The surroundings couldn't be beaten. Our room was very small but adequate, was that because of the Booking.com discount? The coffee/tea facilities were good.

The meal (breakfast) quantity wise was limited and only just warm. It took an age to be delivered to our table and the restaurant didn't seem that busy. There was a lack of space for the number of guests known to be attending the wedding; fortunately the weather was not too bad so we could wait outside and chat before the proceedings started, if it had been raining there would have been an issue! The room had a bath/shower which for a less able person would be an issue, be sure to check. There was no information in the room, local amenities, check out time.......

Lovely setting, very friendly and accommodating staff.

I wanted Earl Grey tea but the bar manager and breakfast manager said they didn't have any. They had other alternative teas, so didn't think was acceptable. I mentioned this to one of the young ladies at reception who looked very perplexed and went and found me some! I also felt it would have been nicer to have a pot of tea or coffee served at table at breakfast instead of self service urns. I would go back again and take my own Earl Grey!!

The room was exceptionally comfortable, clean and very well serviced. We had an evening meal which was very good but quite expensive. The lounge area is very well furnished and relaxing. The hotel overlooks a country park with Deers and sometimes Alpacas. The service and staff were simply excellent in all areas of the hotel.

I felt the furniture in the dining area needed considerable attention. Some of the chairs were worn out with splits and holes. The upholstery in some of the seats had collapsed which meant they were uncomfortable to sit on. Breakfast needs reviewing. The cooked breakfast is unexciting and was not cooked very well. There is a table with croissants, toast, jams etc but all fairly standard food. Rather sadly the squeezy honey came from Slough which I found disappointing. Parking can be a problem. The car park was full and we had to park in a field under trees.
