Free parking on site which was great. The view of the harbour was great - I was able to watch the sunrise in my room. It is what I had anticipated with what I had paid for whilst staying near the city.

Although it is only a km from town centre, the hotel is right up the hill and so it is a bit of a hike (in particular for those who are not as fit) if you decide to do some walking nearby. Although I had a corner room and I understood that there is a restaurant/ pub downstairs, the noise from next door eg movement, kids, doors banging etc was the only let down for my stay.

Very good hotel at a reasonable price, not cheap, but keep in mind that all hotels in Hobart are expensive! The hotel is not in the center of Hobart, but the area where it is located is very nice and quiet, and also offers beautiful sea views. I used Uber to get back to the hotel. Uber is pretty cheap here. The ride from downtown Hobart to the Marquis is about US$5. It was worth it because it saves you the trouble of walking up the hill to the hotel. The room is large and spacious, with a mini fridge to store your purchases... the bathroom is spacious and clean... the bed is comfortable to rest... the weather in Hobart is so delicious that it makes you want to stay in bed all day. I arrived very early and the room wasn't ready, but they stored my luggage while I went out to explore Hobart. The staff is very very friendly and helpful. It has a casino room, bar and restaurant.

Check-out time is 10:00 a.m., and there's no one at reception to assist you before then...so if you need to store your luggage with them, you won't be able to do so before then on your departure day...I missed an activity because of this.

View was spectacular. Room was comfy, albeit very small. Okay for one night which was what we needed. Staff were really lovely and it was very quiet. Free wifi was fantastic! Towels were clean and fresh. Room was lovely and tidy.

Bathroom was very small, and looked totally different to the photo on the app (which is why I chose this hotel over others) no basin in the bathroom, so we had to wash out hands AFTER opening the bathroom door which felt weird. Hotel rooms are on ground floor, But accessibility to the bar and bistro is either down a steep flight of stairs or outside, around the corner.

Super helpful staff, our room was ready early and we were able to use it for an extra hour before checkout. Big bright and airy room. Large fridge, and a kettle in the room. A carton of milk left for us each day. Good location, just on the outskirts of town, with grocery store and bottle shop nearby. It is at the top of a steep hill, so get your walking shoes on! Good value for the location and time of year.

Getting home on the first night after hours to find everything locked. We hadn't been told how to get in. But not a big deal in the end as another guest helped us.

We didn't have the breakfast so no opinion there. The ladies on reception were lovely and very helpful. Good location for driving, if no car then the walk to the centre would not be fun as very hilly. The rooms had everything we needed and were spacious.

There was a horrible noise from the neighbouring rooms when the tap and shower was running. The onsite parking is not guaranteed, the car park is also used for the bar/restaurant so space is limited, thankfully we were lucky and got the last space each night we were there! We stayed for the car parking so this would have been useful to know beforehand.

We like the location, we had a nice view from our room. It was good coz it fits us as family of five, though a bit small coz of 4 beds but overall we are happy and satisfied. Love the split system aircon

More towel hooks would have been appreciated. They pre-authorize 100$ deposit that they release after checkout. It is specified in their policies but it can be a nuisance since it can take up to 15 business days to get the money back.

Everything was great good location great staff did not eat there didn't have time but we had pizza from pizza shop near buy that was great so thanks for the hospitality and service I would recommend to stay .

The only thing that was bad was the front door one morning it was banging about 20 times at 6am and also at night got waken up so that is only thing bad so that could easy be fix

Parking specially for guests is available. Lots of food and the Farmer's Market nearby.

Layout of the motel was confusing, could have done well with some signage. No one was at the reception most of the time, I wasn't sure where to leave the keys when I left.

good location with a nice sea view. the room is clean and nicely serviced everyday.

I made payment for an extra day when checking in, but they didn’t record it properly, so after we checked out someone called me asking why I didn’t pay for the extra day (?!). I had to send them screenshot of the transaction in my banking app as proof. Next time I’d definitely ask for a receipt for that sort of transaction because we never know what is recorded on their system.
