Truly one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived at Shinta Mani Angkor, everything was exceptional. The service is out of this world — warm, thoughtful, and always one step ahead. The hotel’s design is absolutely stunning, a perfect blend of elegance and local charm. The food was delicious, and the bar was amazing — with a great atmosphere and beautifully crafted cocktails. The concierge was outstanding, helping us organize everything effortlessly and with genuine care. We were also incredibly lucky to be upgraded to two suites — such a generous gesture that made our stay even more unforgettable. And the spa… I almost forgot! A true haven of peace and relaxation. If you’re coming to Siem Reap, this hotel is a destination in itself. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

The hotel is well placed in Siem Reap close to the canal, shops and restaurants, everything is only an easy tuk tuk ride away. Siem Reap itself is a very quaint and charming city, very clean, and I felt safe and the people very friendly. The staff at Shinta Mani went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, always so keen to please, and very friendly. We were very gratefully upgraded to a lovely one bedroom two story pool villa which was very private and well appointed. The price-point for this hotel was in a good range as compared with say Raffles Hotel, Amansara, Park Hyatt, Zannier Pham Baitang which are more 5star luxury/high end. Shinta Mani was a very good mid range hotel with lovely staff who make this hotel shine. Special mention to the head of reception who had kindly upgraded us during our 2 day stay, and our 'personal butler' who was always warm and friendly. We had gone in low season (May 2025) so there was not much buzz or ambiance in many of the communal areas (and no one at the restaurant when we dined one day) - not the hotel's fault at all, but sometimes felt awkward with no-one around the hotel pool or in the shared areas like restaurant and bar. Of course Angkor Wat is a must, take advantage of going early for a 5am start, the hotel can help you arrange a very comfortable tuk tuk with driver (and or guide - we chose just to have a driver and no guide so we could wander the temples on our own). The hotel can kindly arrange a small breakfast food package to take with you including water, boiled eggs and fruit/pastries which were well received and a nice touch as you drive from temple to temple. All round, I would definitely recommend this hotel for those on a bit of a budget or only staying a night or two - you can always go to Raffles for drinks or dinner (which we did) and Amasara (which we also did) to get your high end luxury 'fix' while in Siem Reap.

When we arrived at the hotel, the super friendly staff welcomed us and let us know they had upgraded our room due to our long stay – such a nice surprise! The room was spacious, really clean, and beautifully designed – it had everything we needed and more. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the staff. Every single person we met – from the driver that picked us up at the airport, the receptionists, to the waiters and housekeeping – was so kind, helpful, and genuinely warm. They were always smiling, always ready to help, and always up for a friendly chat. You could really tell they loved what they were doing and took pride in making guests feel welcome. We felt so well looked after throughout the entire stay, and their kindness made a big impression on us. Breakfast each morning was a treat, with a great buffet and à la carte options – and every meal we had at the restaurant was top-notch. The hotel’s location is also great, just a short walk from the main streets of Siem Reap, so it was easy to get around. One of our favorite parts of the day was coming back to the pool after a morning of exploring the temples. It was the perfect midday break – peaceful and relaxing in beautiful surroundings. It also happened to be my boyfriend’s birthday while we were there, and the staff made it really special with a birthday card, lotus flowers, and even a birthday song. It meant a lot to both of us. Honestly, we can’t say enough good things about Shinta Mani – we loved every minute of it so much that we extended our stay, and are already planning our next visit!

Nothing to mention.

The room I was in was huge. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. They make up the room twice a day. The pool where I was staying was only for adults so it was really nice to go for a swim after a long day of touring the temples. It was very relaxing. They have two pools and the bigger one is where children were allowed. I love that they had a separate pool for adults. The most valuable part in this hotel is the staff. From the reception to the kitchen to the cleaners, they have done their job beyond my expectations. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They attend to your needs. Don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations at the reception, they know a lot of things. The food was amazing and at breakfast you have various options. The spa staff was good. I had a very relaxing massage there after a long day. Such a luxury indeed. One has an option as well to go to the gym, it’s a bit small but for me it was enough. The location was perfect, close to other restaurants and the canal. You can go for an evening walk along the canal and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Because we travel for fun roughly a third of every year (being retired), we rarely stay in such luxurious places. But if you EVER want to stay in a SUPERB and TRULY BEAUTIFUL luxury hotel somewhere in the world, this is the place to do it. The stunning artistry of Bill Bensley, a famous architect and designer, immerses guests in a fascinating and highly fulfilling aesthetic experience. We were enthralled, and took scores of photos. We booked two nights, stayed for five, and wished it could have been seven. We started in a larger premium room with several art objects and very fine design in the newer, Angkor wing, which offers a gorgeous “zenny” hangout experience by its lap pool, and seems to have even better aesthetics than the main Bayon wing across the street. Because I swim 2 kilometers every day, we then moved to a standard room in the Bayon wing, for its proximity to its wide, 25 meter pool. Both wings have restaurants, but with group business focussed on the Bayon wing, we breakfasted every day and had two fabulous and truly gourmet Cambodian dinners in the Angkor wing’s wonderful Kroya restaurant. Staff was friendly, resourceful, clearly well trained, and helpful with references to an excellent and inexpensive company for local and distant tours. The Shinta Mani is one of our very favorite hotels in the world.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They arranged both our tour guide and tuk-tuk to Angkor Wat, and the experience was exceptional. The massage was also outstanding. While the facilities and gym were quite basic, the pool in our building was large and very enjoyable. Overall I would happily recommend this place to stay for 2-3 nights. It offered a wonderful stay with moments we’ll truly remember.

The design of the rooms could benefit from warmer, higher-quality finishes. For example, the tiled floors and bathroom surfaces felt a bit cold and lacked a sense of comfort. The property would also be enhanced by the addition of inviting spaces to enjoy a drink. While the fine dining restaurant was excellent, I felt the absence of a more versatile main restaurant. That said, the food in both dining venues was great.

We had the pleasure of staying 4 nights at Shinta Mani Angkor, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning setting and the exquisite decor, blending elegance, refinement, and local touches with great subtlety. The pools are simply magnificent, real havens of peace where you can relax at any time of day. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, offering a level of comfort worthy of the finest luxury hotels. But what truly makes this hotel exceptional is, above all, the warmth and kindness of the staff—always smiling, attentive, and eager to provide the best experience possible. We’d like to give a special mention to Franklin and Nara for their incredible kindness and availability, to Kim Hong for his warm welcome and touching eagerness to learn French, and to Poeun, whose passion fruit cocktails are absolute delights! Every morning, we looked forward to the sumptuous breakfast, varied, fresh, and full of flavor. And the cocktails—consistently delicious and perfectly crafted—were a true highlight. We leave with wonderful memories, our hearts full of gratitude, and a sincere desire to return. Thank you to the entire team at Shinta Mani Angkor for making this stay so magical.

Shinta Mani Angkor is ideally situated in the heart of the town of Siem Reap, and easy to travel to the archaeological park. The hotel is tastefully decorated by a unique blend of different cultures, collected by the owners who are also great travelers and cultural communicators. This makes this institution different from other high standards hotels. Artistic details are everywhere. I felt like i'm in my second residence in another country. The dedicated staff, notably the manager Madam Ratanak impressed me for her considerate and warm attendance to make every details of my stay personally comfortable and memorable. I traveled so many times to Siem Ream, but this short stay remains in my heart.

The breakfast time is an important moment for seasoned travelers as we start the adventure of the day or reflective moments from there..... The Breakfast room could be in a different atmosphere, but the menu and buffer were very fine.

We were upgraded and the room was super comfortable. Bed was huge, shower and toiletries were nice. Filtered water in glass bottles provided daily and water dispensers available. Hotel design by Bill Bensley of the grounds, landscape, rooms, bar were very lush. We enjoyed the good spread of breakfast and also happy hour at the pool and at Bensley bar. Staff were all so warm and sincere and professional. We really enjoyed our stay.

While it was really nice to have the towels changed everyday at housekeeping, perhaps to have an option for us to indicate when we want them changed to be more environmentally friendly.

Amazing design and vibe. Learned something about the world of hotels and how much it matters. The cooking class was top! The staff beyond helpful, always genuinely trying to make our visit even better than it was... you can just tell if someone is fake/ nice or treats you with warmth, and it matters when you travel with a child! The food was unbelievable, we did not even try the special sets at Kroya, but we has the included lunch/ dinner and breakfast, we tried either Asian or Western and were blown away. The room was great, comfy beds, thermostat worked, balcony was top, the pools were both great. We had our fill with temples on this trip and will probablywait a few good years before returning, , but if we go back soon it will also be because of this hotel!
