Romantic - not quite but better than "No". I am Gluten Free - breakfast was paid for in advance but would not supply GF weetbix. The bed was great...the room was spotless. It was the ideal venue for a 65th birthday. Nibbles were great, service really good and staff, management included, were so polite. We would stay again.

Fair price for a country pub. Very pleasant staff and Kim ? a great hostess Nice room & facilities and a good place to rest after a long day.. Food was well priced and breakfast was a bonus. I was surprised that it did not have more guests who might have been travelling N/ S. Would stay again if I was thinking of stopping overnight at either Timaru/Oamaru

Location fine for an overnight. Does not purport to be a resort. Suited us fine, very cheerful and efficient staff. Very good kitchen.

Fine as a country hotel primarily serving its community and looking after travellers who require an overnight stay en route to somewhere else.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating, they went out of their way to look after us. This included walking us around the rooms, explaining the happy hour activities and how Breakfast would work (Which was included). The meals were cheap, large and fast to come out. They have great parking and access after hours. The rooms are large, clean and more comfortable than your average hotel. Even the other patrons were friendly.

There was nothing we didn't like,

No space for this but it wasn’t actually me who stayed, it was my work mate. She was very happy and her room sort after by others and staff successfully managed the situation to work out well for everyone. Much appreciated so well done.

Bedroom was well set up for our family and the breakfast room was an ideal set up for two early rising children. All the staff we encountered were friendly and warm. We had lunch in the bar one day - it was amazing - highly recommend.

This was a great place for my requirements, I was at a horse event in Waimate and needed a warm comfortable place to stay after a big day. The staff were lovely and I had the best sleep I’ve had in ages. Great value.

The buzz of full pub and very busy, chatty staff. Lovely food. Room and facilities fab.

Not a dislike...but the mirrors in the bedrooms need to be lowered so that shorter people can see in it. My partner had to stand on the bed to use it. More cups in the breakfast room.

Property was clean, bedrooms were spacious and beds comfortable, staff were friendly and accomodating, food and drinks were excellent. Will definitely book again.

Epic in every way possible. True southern hospo and fantastic meals. They should come with a warning on how massive they are! True value. Can’t wait to stay again!
