The restaurant at the hotel is awesome! Both breakfast and dinner are excellent. We also enjoyed the amazing spa facilities downstairs as well as the 9 pin bowling alley. There are also fun touches like board games, or giving the kids coloring pencils during dinner. Our family really enjoyed our stay and would love to return and try more dishes at the restaurant.

For some reason our room in the corner was warmer than the rest of the hotel, even if it was cool outside. Opening the windows helped, but then mosquitos could come in...The Internet was passable but could be slow at times. Still, we were able to have a business video conferencing call with someone in California that was smooth enough.

The views across Salzburg and the alps from the Gasthof garden and surrounds were fantastic. There is a wonderful beer garden with stunning views and the restaurant has a Michelin star (the meals and service warranted that rating). Very comfortable, clean and spacious room with a small balcony and views of the forest. The restaurant, service desk and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. We had a delightful stay (4 days) and would happily stay again. Do note that there are a lot of stairs, but the staff readily offered assistance if you need it.

Me and my partner stayed at Romantikhotel over Christmas for a few days. Firstly, the views are absolutely stunning, set up in the mountains with gorgeous views over Salzburg. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff into the cosy bar area and checked in to a gorgeous room, the beds were SO comfortable, absolutely spotless and nice and warm. The food was outrageously good, in particular the steak tartare was the best I have ever had and we couldn’t fault the service, all wonderful and very relaxed and recommended us beautiful wines to drink. Our flight home ended up being delayed and the staff were absolutely wonderful and were very luckily able to let us stay an extra night. I’m so pleased we chose Romantikhotel to stay for Christmas, it was honestly stunning and can’t recommend it enough. 10/10 service, 10/10 food, and 10/10 room - would 100% stay again. If you love your walking and hiking there are also plenty of walking trails to do from the hotel, and the staff were all so helpful with providing us maps and explaining the easy bus timetable to get into Salzburg to explore the city (or you can walk approx 1.5hours to get into the city). Thankyou all SO much for making our Christmas so perfect, we will be back!

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property - it was all perfect.

We had a fantastic experience at the Romatikhotel. The room was spacious, the hotel location was picturesque and snow-covered, it was amazing. And ofcourse, the food was really good. People were warm, i especially remember Marion and Simon, always smiling and very polite. Overall, it was a delight. Beautiful location, amazing food, lovely people.

The new year party (which was a paid one), we felt was steep, especially coz we don't drink much. Maybe an option with limited drinks would have been a nice option to have. Between my husband and I, we had 3 drinks. So 250 euros each was a bit much, we felt. Also, we did see a couple grumpy faces when my toddler was running around, i didn't appreciate that. Though Marion sure made up for it. She was amazing even with the kids. So was Simon. Also, the distance from the hotel to the centre is 20min, so its best if you hire a car. We dont drive left-wheel so we were a bit stuck, so be prepared. Cabs can be draining if you're doing to-fro trips multiple times.

The hotel is surrounded by nature, with a beautiful view of the Salzburg. The staff is very nice and polite. When we entered the room, we found a wellcoming message from the owners. Our room was spacious and warm, with a really comfortable beds. Breakfast was diverse and tasty. Hotel has a parking place.

During our stay we haven't noticed any serious disadvantage. I can only mention that hotel is outside of the city, that for someone may be a flaw, while for someone can be an advantage. Maybe it's a bit more expensive than the other hotels in Salzburg.

The hotel was in a beautiful location set on a mountain with gorgeous views. After traveling on a train from Munich it was lovely to settle here using the spa and doing a cool plunge in their outdoor pool 53 degrees F! It was about a 10-15 min taxi from the center.. We had dinner our first night at the hotel having excellent service from Ditmar and the food was wonderful. Breakfast was great first thing in the morning with a lot of choices (an extensive continental }. We would recommend this hotel even though the weather wasn’t the best, we enjoyed our stay! Extremely helpful and accommodating front desk staff!

This hotel exceeded all of my expectations! The staff and chef were so friendly. The room was clean and made up for three guests as it stated on my reservation. The views from the rooms to the alps was unbeatable. And to top it all off the dinner we had was definitely one of the best on the trip! You are ~25 minutes from the town of Salzburg which could be looked as a downfall but to get these type of views on the mountain is totally worth it to me.

- the location of the hotel is perfect, on the "mountain of Salzburg" and u're having a perfect view to the city and the castle "Festung Hohensalzburg" - the rooms are big and very well equipped - the breakfast is very good - the restaurant of the hotel is serving perfect food - there are enough free parking spaces at the hotel - in summer time there is a pool and for the evening there is even a bowling track - the meeting rooms are well and are perfectly for trainings and seminars

Everything was perfect. The location looking over the city and the mountains was amazing. The staff were all lovely and always willing to help with anything and everything. The food was brilliant. The room was clean and comfortable. Lovely shower and facilities. Walking up to the hotel was beautiful and if you preferred a taxi it wasn't too expensive to out. It cost us €20 or so to get into the city center

The included breakfast. The staff was very accommodating to the fact that we had our dog, by letting us continue our stay in the originally booked room. I did not call before hand to let them know. Since they have certain rooms that they allow pets, and they were all booked up. So I thank them for that. It really made my wife’s birthday weekend.

The only thing was the bed could have more soft pillows.
