We loved everything about this property! Al and Phyl have turned their beautiful family home into an extremely comfortable and welcoming place to stay. From the moment we walk through the door and we’re greeted by Georgie (the dog) we felt like we had come home to visit family. They go above and beyond anything we’ve experienced in our extensive travels. We stayed in the Wellington room with its slanted roof, which just added to its charm. Your choice of breakfast items are delivered to your room at the time of your choosing, and on the first morning Phyl ran all the way back downstairs to the kitchen when she found out my husband liked milk in his coffee. Even though there were coffee creamers in the room, she insisted on providing him with fresh milk. Knowing that we have been on the road for over a week, they offered to do a load of laundry for us before we set sail on our cruise. And when we were unable to get a taxi to get to Dover, Al was quick to offer us a ride and refused any compensation. This couple really goes out of their way to ensure the best stay possible.

Nothing, it was perfect for us.

An absolutely beautiful Georgian home, artistically decorated, light, airy and spotlessly clean. Al gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our room. Every detail was catered for, to give us a comfortable, cosy, home from home experience. Free parking was available on the street opposite and a continental breakfast delivered to our room in the morning to make for a leisurely start to our day. I wish we could have stayed for longer to talk to Phyl and to learn more fascinating historical facts.

I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like and which hadn’t already been considered by our hosts. (I would have liked plain yogurt to go with my honey but that’s such a minor thing)..

Everything was simply impeccable. Al and Phyl were super meticulous in ensuring we had the best time. The room was lovely, clean and with super comfy beds. Breakfast was delivered to our room every morning which was a nice touch, warm croissant in bed? Yes please! Al was so friendly too, he gave us tips on where to go and what to see. On our last day, he was super kind to even give a lift to the train station as well as we came without cars / bikes (side note: I highly recommend anyone coming here to have some sort of vehicle unless you’re ready to walk for 4-5h a day, which was what we did). Anyways, we had such a wonderful stay and I honestly have never stayed in a better b&b. Keep up the amazing work!!

We were welcomed by our lovely host Al, who made us feel right at home in beautiful Glebe House. The room was lovely and big, with comfortable beds and a clean spacious bathroom. Al gave some recommendations for places to visit in Deal and the surrounding areas and recommended 81 beach street for dinner, which was very much to our liking. Phyl brought us our breakfast in the morning which was served in our room, which was delicious and bountiful. Even though we stayed only one night, our stay was very pleasant and we recommend any traveler to stay at Glebe House if they're visiting Deal!

There were no dissapointments, everything was right in order!

Words can’t express what an amazing stay we had at the wonderful Glebe house. We was welcomed by Al who made us feel right at home and in fact made the stay even more amazing. The house is absolutely incredible and me and my partner wished we could permanently move in!! It has so much charm amazing decor and a place you’d love to call home. Our room was amazing and cosy, the bed was unreal! So comfy and we had the best nights sleep! The breakfast in bed in the morning felt like pure luxury and Al went to so much effort preparing this for us and bringing up to our room, so we treated ourselves to breakfast in bed! Al was absolutely incredible he went above and beyond to look after us and was so kind and drove us to Deal as well as driving us to the station home. I’ve never met such an amazing host. If you’re staying in Deal be sure to stay at Glebe house!

Beautiful house in a great location. We were made to feel very welcome from the minute we arrived. Very comfortable beds with a lovely en-suite. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and well equipped, with plenty of space and we also had the use of a very cosy lounge. We enjoyed the continental style breakfast served in our bedroom at a time to suit us. We also appreciated the on site parking as parking in Deal and Walmer can be difficult at times. We will definitely be returning next year. Thank you Al & Phyl.

We stayed one night with Phil and Al. On our arrival we were warmly welcomed by two hosts who realize their passion as hosts as a lifelong dream. And you can see and feel this in their warmth, in the love with which they have furnished the rooms and in the many little things that simply made us enjoy everything. The breakfast was extremely tasty and sumptuous, and enjoying it in our own room with service is a new but no less wonderful experience for us. We can highly recommend the Glebe House.

Very welcoming, lovely house, great location. Everything we needed.

Breakfast was served in our room and was beautifully presented. I think the breakfast could be improved by including some savoury options ( e.g. cold/hard boiled egg, ham or cheese), less sugary (muesli rather than granola) and may be some fresh fruit rather than tinned grapefruit. I tried to email the hosts but could not find an email address to give this feedback.

Hosts were fantastic. The house was lovely, super clean, and comfortable. The location worked really well for us. The third floor room worked well enough for us as we're still in good enough shape to get our luggage up and down (although our host did carry my luggage up when we arrived).

The lack of air conditioning didn't matter because a fan was sufficient with the weather we had, but could have been difficult in hot weather.

From the warm and friendly welcome from Al & Phyl, to the beautiful house, immaculate bedroom and bathroom, light summer duvet and comfortable bed and pillows, peace of the surroundings, offer of a welcome drink, continental breakfast delivered to our door at precisely the time we requested, everything about our stay at Glebe House was amazing. Al and Phyl are fabulous hosts, they really couldn't do enough for you and they ensured our stay with them was a joy.

There was absolutely nothing not to like.
