I did not have breakfast. The location was excellent with just a short walk from the train station, the seafront, the harbour & the main shopping area. There was also an excellent sports pub only about 100 yards away. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was very clean & the shower was very good. You could also have as much tea & coffee to drink in the room as you wanted. Also they sent me a text to say that the room was ready & I could check in 3 hours early. I intend to book to go there again sometime next year.

Great amenities and comfy room, loved the black out curtain in the room aswell! Location was amazing and so close to everything me and my partner wanted to go to. The lock boxes for the keys was a nice touch. The umbrellas really came in handy aswell! Didn't use the bar but looked well stocked and really clean and tidy. Overall just a really comfy clean and nice guesthouse! Also really liked the trolleys with extra tea bags, sugars and toliet roll etc, that was super handy and made it super easy to get anything we needed. Will definitely stay here again in the future!

Room was quite warm on occasion with the heating on constantly, but we did manage to turn it down and we did have a fan in the room which helped massively so not a massive deal breaker.

The hosts were fantastic, the communication with them was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. Very good location, clean, facilities in the room and also available at a central point (iron, additional coffee/tea facilities, toiletries etc..) were good. Honesty bar was a nice touch in a relaxed lounge area. Extremely dog friendly. Hassle free check in and out. Although parking is not available on site there is plenty of parking nearby. Would definitely book to stay here again.

Nothing, it suited our needs perfectly

I have stayed at Chesterfield Guest House throughout the Easter weekend 2024 and I couldn`t have made a better choice! Amanda and Dan are amazing hosts, very helpful and flexible to support with any asks. I have booked 2 nights which I wanted to extend, but could not do so on the booking website, they have kindly worked around it to accommodate my request. I travelled with my dog and in the room a dog bed, blanket and bowl were offered, too. The room was really nice and clean, well equipped and the blind was perfect. Location is great, few minutes walk to the seaside, there are pubs, off license shops and both dine-in/ takeaway places nearby. More restaurants on the seafront and bay side. I only can recommend their place to stay at and I am also planning on returning in the summer, too.

The host is so nice and responsive. I especially like the webpage developed by the owner that enlists all the details you need during your trip in Torquay. And the location is so good. The cleanliness is unexpectedly good.

The room lighting is a bit dark and the size is rather small. And I think a microwave oven may be added to the Guest Lounge.

The room is lovely, staff was really friendly and they let our 2 dogs stay with us. I loved that they had a drinks fridge in the lounge so I could help yourself instead of walking to the shop ❤️ and the dogs loved looking out the window to watch the world go by ❤️

There isn't anything I didn't like

Absolutely lovely accomodation. Welcoming owner and was a lovely touch having dog biscuits by the door and freshly baked brownies in lobby. Perfect location Room was perfect. ..bed maybe a tad too comfy!! Haha I'll be returning definitely I'm a DJ and it's really handy having accommodation so close to the town yet still away from the noise. Thank you for having me

In high season you will most likely be parked on leisure center parking (short walk no problem) 10£ for 24h so not bad. It's no negative as we were aware of this but I leave it as an info.

Clean and comfortable room. excellent location, walkable distance from beach. Dan and Amanda were friendly and welcoming to the customers. and recommended a few good spots to visit during the day. tasty breakfast available at hotel. Room had a TV, hair dryer, ironing box and stand, drinks tray filled with tea and coffee sachets, and cookies 🍪 😋. we loved the place. would visit again for sure.

lift would have sounded good as an alternative to stairs for the luggage or after a long exhausting day at beach. would have been good to have a car park at place instead of street parking.

Good sized room, well furnished. Excellent facilities-ample drinks and replenishment. Clean and tidy. Breakfast room/lounge was very well decorated, with great selection of games, books, information, and snacks. Great location within walking distance of seafront and amenities/attractions. Hosts were very friendly.
