This year from Fri to Sun, 8-10 August 2025, I stayed in Cabin 146, an ideal location between the Function Hall and Dining Hall. Again, I was there again at Discovery Park for the Church Family Camp. I loved that it was one level.. I loved that I could check-in a little bit earlier than 2pm, and being greeted by a friendly receptionist is always a great way to start a wonderful experience The cabin was warm, esoecially when it was cold outside; bed and pillows were comfortable, so I had no problems with a good night's sleep I loved the warm showers, too

Again, the issue with Wi-Fi, which interfered with TV viewing, and again it wasn't a hugh problem because I was not there to watch television Where it rained a bit, there was no dry area to be able to leave my shoes outside. I couldn't even leave them on the outdoor table. I had to bring them indoors. So, having a mat just inside would have helped. I had to resort to using the shower mat. (Sorry, Cleaners)

Thought 10 dollars per visitor was a bit unfair thought should have been 10 per family visitors of ours they had 3 kids plus them 2 they don’t come because of price. Would have 50 bucks and no food or drinks included. The city people are so gullabul all the time and just pay what they are told poor things. Other than that it was a great experience happy to stay there again. Just got to remember not to invite any guests too expensive for them. I do understand yous have costs but ripping people off is not good imagine we stay a week and want the visitors all week all adds up not good for vacation.

🛑I was a tad bit disappointed in the non-availability of WiFi in the room or function hall — But no biggy because I didn’t go down to Coolwaters to be playing with my phone or iPad 🛑Not so much didn’t like, but I was surprised that I had to climb down and up a few steps to and from the bedroom — I will be ready for next time;

Apart from general stuff, we liked the Thai food van at the front. I also liked that with each pair of pillows there was a choice of a fatter or thinner pillow. (I love a thin pillow but find most places will only provide 2x fat pillows per person and no thin ones.) Cabin was comfortable with good storage and “bench” space near the bed.

The cooktop was difficult to use - perhaps some instructions could be provided. The heater worked but blew hot air only intermittently. It was probably due to be replaced.

The park is great, lots of activities for all the family. Staff very friendly, have stayed multiple times and no issues.

We stayed not too far from reception and the wifi and reception didn’t work in our rooms. So no wifi or tv for chill time after being outdoors. The big pool was like soup water consistency, so much hotter than the waterslide area, not ideal in December. Other than that couldn’t really complain about anything.

The park is beautiful and clean - pool is a fantastic temp and very peaceful.

The cabin we stayed in was a deluxe cabin but felt like a basic which was disappointing for the price. The floors have not had a good scrub, the blinds had cords hanging which was a massive safety issue for us having small children, the blind in main bedroom was missing half of the vertical blinds and we had to put blankets up to block the sun as it hit straight in that room early mornings - overall we had a great family holiday and the pool and balloon was a massive hit but was glad to leave the cabin.

The large cabin was very nice. The kitchen had what we needed to cook meals. Nice dining area and two large sofas in the living area with a big TV (only free to air, or you log into your paid streaming account). The beds were comfy enough—not a worry. The shower was great, with hot water quickly available. We didn't use the air con but used blankets. The place was clean, for sure—white floors! Nice deck with chairs and a table. Excellent for kids! Great sleep, quiet park after about 9 p.m.

Wifi was not good except either late at night or very early in the morning. It's not a big deal, but looking at the drain in the centre of the bathroom, there is a pile of rubbish under the cabin (I covered the drain and view with a towel). We arrived late in the night, unfortunately, and didn't know how to get to our room key or the gate combo (an email with this information didn't arrive). Not a problem, as a staff member answered the phone and was friendly. May I suggest that the gate combination for new arrivals be circled with a highlighter or have a big arrow, large enough to locate at night in the dark? Thank you.

The people in the camper van behind our cabin kept on smoking and it kept going into our cabin, I'm a server asthmatic which was setting me off constantly and they just didn't care, which put a damper on our stay. The children love the water park and pillow. Was wondering why there is no gate between the big slide and the toddler slides?

Beautiful location near the water with open green campgrounds dotted with big shady trees. Great facilities, clean, comfy. My son loves the water options - slides, big calm pool & smaller kids water playground.

I missed having an oven in the cabin but was happy to discover one in the camp kitchen!

Spacious for one person. The cabin was clean and tidy. All the staff were friendly and the property was clean and respectable.

The cabin next door had a change over with lots of kids and screaming. It wasn’t after the hours so no complaining but a solo traveller for leisure it was annoying.
